Capo is a great spot for a casual Italian meal. Food is amazing, service is friendly. Try the Burrata pizza! It’s also half price bottles of wine on Tuesdays.
didn't like the vibe, the waiter was really slow to deliver service even though there were only 3 other guests in the restaurant. the food was subpar, tasted very regular. the cocktails were comically small.
Pizza was nice although bottom not cooked enough for me ,,but very tasty
The service was great, the staff was amazing. For appetizers we got the charcuterie board and the fried kalamari; both were amazing minus a whipped cheese on the board (tasted like lemon). For mains we got the gnocchi which was good, and a pesto pistachio pasta which was terrible - would recommend removing that from the menu. A hoegarden beer was ordered as a second glass and we were brought a Pilsner instead, and the glass of wine that was recommended to me was $22 .. a bit overpriced. The gelato was amazing, hands down. Great place but a couple of mishaps here and there. Would return for sure though!
It's different due to covid-19. But still great ppl. Food. Service.
While it's not a quiet garden setting being located on Yonge Street, people watching is aplenty with passerby's and the management's intent to please in all facets, scores big time
Love this place! Great ambiance, amazing food! Patio tables and chairs sanitized prior to seating, and are arranged perfectly to coincide with physical distancing.
Pizza, salad and a glass of wine. Perfect way to spend a summer afternoon on their patio!
The service and staff are amazing, food is delicious and looks amazing. I would recommend any one to go try it whether it be casual, date, celebration. It a jewel of the neighborhood
Nice meal but a bit salty as was the bread but I use very little salt normally. Very attentive service.
Excellent- consistently great food and A1 service. A favourite in the area.
We’re a happy little family of three visiting from Buffalo. This place felt right out of Little Italy in NYC. The food, atmosphere and service were incredible. We are so happy that our “pick whatever’s next available” trick worked.
Easy to uber to, price is exactly what we would have expected it to be.
We LOVED our waitress and the extra staff waiting hand and door on everyone as if you were family.
I found the food ordinary and not authentic Italian
Excellent place, great food and atmosphere. Went will group,of 5.
All enjoyed meal. My chicken couldn’t have been cooked any better!
The food was delicious! We started with fritto di calamari - it just melted in my mouth. I tried the rainbow trout and it was SO good. My husband had a baby shrimp pasta with pistacchio pesto. We also had a margherita pizza to share which was delicious. So simple but so good - it wasn’t too salty at all. We had eaten so much that we didn’t have any room for dessert but I wish I had tried some
Overall we liked the restaurant.
My food was amazing: I had the trout and Caesar salad. That was probably one of the best Caesar salads I’ve had. My boyfriend was less enamoured with his meal - he felt his pizza was bland but the meatballs were good. The panacotta was amazing. Unfortunately we had pretty bad service from the server. We may come again because the location and food overall were good.
Arancini was simply incredible! Would definitely go back again.
Beautiful place with great food!
Always a great time
Ordered one of their pizzas with prosciutto and arugula. The crust was soggy and hard to cut. Barely ate a third of it.
They did not have coffee cream just milk. Coffee offered was espresso only. Dessert was good as well the service.
Very pleasant and cozy environment and courteous and friendly service
Best restaurant around Yonge and St Clair. While other, similarily long-standing eateries nearby are closing down, Capo continues to be vibrant and full. Bravo!
Wonderful 2.5 hour lunch! Superb service and wonderful food at a great neighbourhood resto! 👍👍👍
Great food. Great attentive and friendly staff. Nice and cosy but could get a little loud when it's busy. A little on the pricier side which limits us to visiting for special occasions only. Recommend making reservations ahead of time.
I'm not sure if this is a coincidence because I've never had the steaks here and as far as I know, it's not considered a steak place, but I decided to give it a try. I ordered my steak rear, expecting medium-rare. What I got was a perfectly grilled "Pittsburgh-style" rear steak and arguably one of THE BEST I've had in Toronto so far. I'll have the steak again next time I revisit them to see if lighting strikes twice.
Excellent meal. Everything was fresh and tasty. Excellent server.
I won’t be able to talk about the food experience because we didn’t have any. Went there on boxing day with my son. We ordered some appetizers and my son ordered a pizza, that’s why I chose to go there because he wanted a pizza.
After our orders taken the waitress came back and said their pizza oven was not hot yet and it would take 45 minutes. Then the manager came and explained that since the restaurant was closed the day before it was taking longer to heat. That is a very bad excuse since this restaurant prides itself to be around for long time; I mean don’t you kind of expect them to know this and be more organized? Especially when half of the menu items are pizza.
Or at least couldn’t they call us to let us know the situation as a courtesy.
The manager acted as this was very normal and didn’t even try to make a gesture. Very disappointed, won’t be going back. We left and went to Terroni’s in the neighbourhood and no surprises there, everything was great as usual.
The pizza was great; the pasta was tasty, though a bit salty. Staff are very friendly. It is a tight squeeze inside, but there is a cozy feel.
This is a very good neighborhood restaurant. Friendly and with good wine and excellent food.
Delicious dining experience, overall! Definitely will return to try out other menu items including the pizza which we were told is absolutely amazing. Our server, Jessica, was delightful. She was friendly, helpful and very professional. Service was very prompt. Food was delicious - we both had pasta. The price was a bit high but reasonable. (2 pasta dishes,a salad, and 2 glasses of Prosecco about $100). Portions were just right. It was a busy Friday night. Reservations were helpful. Judging by the patrons’ faces, we picked a perfect spot for our friends get together. Looking forward to visit in the near future.
Nice casual place. Very friendly service. Good food, moderate selection.
Absolutely wonderful food and service. My only complaint was a noisy table near us. Made conversation difficult at our table
This is a great spot, as casual as a bistro with the food and wine selection of fine dining. The caesar salad is outstanding, as is the calami, by themselves both reasons to return. Great service by a helpful, fun server.
Great pizza - thin crispy crust with good portion of toppings and great flavour
We had a delicious meal with a lovely server. A most enjoyable evening.
Our server Adrienne was amazing! We were there for a mother/daughter dinner for my mother's birthday and she helped to make it celebratory and special.
Food was fantastic as always!
Always come here when we visit Toronto. Good value, Friendly, not too noisy!
We had the Octopus Carpaccio an the special of the day - rainbow trout which were both very delicious. Great service and ambiance.
Always amazing - great local place to meet up for a drink and good food
Another great experience at one of our favourite restaurants. Food was lovely and nicely presented and served. A great bottle of wine was another great feature. We will return.
