Experience was sullied by Covid time limitations on our stay and the extremely loud (not convivial...loud) group of TD banker seated behind us.
Staff did not have their act together, also, as we were told we could stay 'til 8 p.m. but "kicked-out" at 7:15 p.m.
Food and wine, as usual, were great.
Perfection. The best pomodoro you will ever have
We always love coming here (particularly now, when supporting area restaurants is so important). Food, service, and ambience are consistently tops.
Always incredible food. Excellent service.
Love Capo. Beats Terroni hands down!
Authentic, best pizza and calamari. I usually have a negroni but it was my daughters 16th. Ha
Can’t wait for you to be fully open hopefully soon?
Great food, as always! One of the best thin crust pizzas around. The side patio is nicely tucked in under the awning and behind plants and heat lamps, so you’re cozy and shielded from the street and the wind , while still being outside and safely distanced from tables around you. Our waiter was fabulous as well. :)
Friendly efficient service ... yummy pizza ... nice cold wine. Great afternoon.
Capocaccia has worked hard to provide their excellent food on the small side patio. Very good service, pretty good in the circumstances. Try the fried artichokes.
The apperetivo menu from 3-5 pm Monday to Friday is an amazing value!!
Very nice vibe on patio good food as always there!
It was extremely cold outside, even with heaters and tents all around
We were freezing. The heated patio is really cold.
We had a wonderful experience at Capocacia. The service was excellent - friendly and efficient. We of coarse ate on the outdoor patio. The tables were well spaced and the heaters provided ample heat so that we could enjoy lunch on a rainy, blustery day. The salad and branzino were very good. I highly recommend this restaurant as a good Covid experience.
Despite being rainy out their patio was warm and cozy. The food is always delicious. A little on the higher-end but they never fail to disappoint. Happy to help this place when I can!
Fantastic. Great food, and the staff couldn't have been nicer. Surprised it took us this long to try this place out. Will certainly return.
Bravely accommodating changing Covid-circumstances, Capocaccia, at time of writing, has two patios open. All safety rules are observed by a friendly staff and my most recent visit proved that the food and drink continued to be exceptional. They also have a good selection of wine for take-away sale, many at half-price. I hope my neighbours in the Yonge & St. Clair area will continue to support this community mainstay, as I am. Bene to Stefano and staff!
I booked a terrace table for 4 people for 12:30 pm on Friday the 23rd - the reservation was made several days in advance and two of our guests had recommended the restaurant, both having been there multiple times. It was my first time dining at this restaurant. We arrived on time and were seated at a table for four at the west end of the terrace, adjacent to an empty table for two. All was fine - one of our guests had preordered a bottle of bubbly to celebrate our other guest’s good news (daughter’s engagement) and we were well taken care of through our meal by a charming young woman. At 1:50 pm, having just ordered coffees to finish our meal, the manager came by our table to let us know that a group of people were waiting for our table, and asked if he could move us! We declined and finished our coffees and paid the bill - it truly left a very bad impression on what had been until that point a very pleasant lunch.
This restaurant is a top level experience. It is located in the Yonge and St. Clair area. The food is so good, especially the flat iron steak. And the atmosphere (even out on the patio) is very cozy. The distancing was good, and the heaters worked well.
All requirements in Pandemica. Good job Cappocaccia!
Food was absolutely amazing with great prices and deals on wine by the bottle. Service was unbelievably good, every need was catered to immediately . Outdoor patio was a bit cold, could have had a little more heat but was good enough with a jacket on. Highly recommend, will definitely be going back !
Food tasted bland and greasy, ordered pizza and pesto salad. Asked to pack up my pizza, and waiter packed it up and I found a mosquito squished into it. Also weird when I asked to get it packed up, they didn't bring me a box to pack it up myself (which should have been done due to Covid19), but the waiter took it to the back and packed it for me.
Great service and ambience. The owner or manager is very present and involved in serving.
A very good aperitivo menu, available from 3 until 5 weekdays inside the restaurant by the bar and presently on the patio outside. Prices are good, everything is are the five eight or ten dollars , menu is limited but a good variety and are all slightly smaller versions of items on the regular dinner menu. Good beer and wine available at $5 each. Definitely recommend it
Fantastic place !
For many years ...
Highly recommended
Open Table books for inside or outside. Diners should be aware that when you get to the restaurant they may not be able to seat you where booked. If an outside table is essential you need to ring the restaurant to make that clear. I think the Open Table website should be amended to make this potential problem apparent.
Service was slow but food was great! They looked as if they were short staffed.
Food was great, ambiance is super cute and would be nice for a date or a night out but we just dropped in for a casual dinner.
The food quality was perfect and Everyone there were friendly and caring :)
It took over 15 mins to get our first drink which set the tone for the night unfortunately. We shouldn’t have to call the waiter in a place so small with half the guests. Also, getting the waiter to even look our way was an unnecessary chore.
Staff are wonderful and remember you.
I wish they had been able to accommodate my request to sit outdoors but our indoor table was close to a door.
We'll be back soon I hope.
One of my favourite local spots! We sat outside & the service and food was wonderful.
Haven't been in several years.
Was really impressive - olives, carpaccio, veal chop , pasta boullinnaise (sp.?)
and particularly Canada's Premium Beer Steam Whistle Pilsner on tap.
Highly recommend it.
Had dinner at Capo on Friday night with three friends. Reservations were made in the outside patio (Covid).
We were warmly greeted by the staff and brought to our seats. We all had the branzino (fish) and as always it was delish.
Am a frequent customer as the place is near where I live. It has always felt like going to a friend's home for dinner. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to make your evening special. The food is seriously delicious and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to dine in Toronto.
Love everything about this place. One of favourite restaurants in TO.
I love this restaurant. Great ambience, pretty decor. The food is delicious.
Lovely space, good food and pleasant service. Will visit again.
Pizzas were amazing; Cesar’s salad was very good and the Branzino was exceptional!!!!
The food was delicious and the ambiance perfect. Thanks!
Server was very personable. She was very sweet. Food was phenomenal. Very tasty and well done. Sat outside on the patio, but you could not tell it was on Yonge St. Very quiet and lovely ambiance.
Amazing birthday dinner at one of my favourite neighborhood restaurants. We ordered the prifix and the chef brought us a few of the 7courses by himself to thank us. Felt the appreciation for our business and also safe eating inside based on precautions.
This was my second time at the restaurant and everything was great! I wish the weather cooperated a bit more as it was windy however the restaurant immediately turned on their heated lamps immediately. The food and service were all amazing, no complaints with anything! Will definitely be back for a third visit!!
