We loved it there! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great!

I went with my family for my moms birthday on a weekday when it was not busy at all. Poor service, food was very average for the price. You would expect the service to be phenomenal when there isn't a lot of people for the waiter to attend to.

The manager was fantastic and took a bunch of purchases off our bill. I understand that sometimes it happens but for a birthday? Unacceptable.

Always top notch. Had a small problem with one of the dishes. They handled it perfectly and took item off my bill. Almost never disappoints.

During tough times I found everyone following good C-19 protocols. Well done.

We thoroughly enjoy dining at Cardero's throughout the year. Food is great, ambiance has a great vibe. Had to rate the service a bit lower on this occasion, as our server Kristy could have been a bit more polished. Some rough edges to her delivery and honestly a bit out of character for this location. There are lots of really good, top notch servers at Cardero's and perhaps having her shadow one or two of these for a few shifts would smooth out her delivery and presentation.

Reservation was made yet when arrived table not ready. Hostess was a bit abrupt and continued to insist we leave the table after 2 hours even if no one was waiting for our table. Food arrived to table lukewarm at best. Not usual quality of food . Patio staff were awesome! Great service and accommodating ! Love the heated patio option for Covid. Sad no happy hour menu on patio on weekends. Disappointing.

Every time we have a special occasion we look forward to coming here each time! It’s the absolute best food, service, and atmosphere you can find in all of BC never mind Vancouver. Travis as well as Kody are both beyond exceptional servers. They both went WAY above and beyond for my table both times. Offering us free appies desserts and wine top ups! Would tip them both a million dollars if I could afford it!

Great experience as per usual! We had a perfect table in the lounge by the fire, overlooking the harbour and close enough to hear the live music. Food was amazing as per usual and service was incredible!!

Service was very uneven. Felt like we were being rushed through our dinner.

Cardero's is a fabulous place but the lounge floor manager needs to get some training in customer service ! He was perhaps the most rude man to both the waitress and us as guests ! Will not go there again until he is replaced which is too bad as it's is a fabulous place !

Thank goodness for the patio. Inside is very noisy. One big box.

I had lunch at Cardero’s twice this week! Support our local businesses is top on my list!! The bonus: delicious food, excellent service and I feel safe with all the distancing, plexiglass and a choice to sit outside! Outstanding!! Been coming here for 30 years and it’s still my fav restaurant in Vancouver. Always a pleasure!! Thank you to all staff, cleaners, servers, Chef, sous Chef and kitchen staff, we will get passed this pandemic!! Until then, I will continue to support you!!

Food excellent service friendly it is not my first visit but I have never been disappointed

First time here and will be a must forever when we visit Vancouver. Incredibly professional and caring. I have told all my clients they have to have a meal at this exquisite restaurant.

I love Carderos and it was always my choice of restaurant prior to Covid. Although they have good covid and safety poilicies in place, I found little details were missed by serving staff. For example, we ordered the seafood platter for sharing between three friends - in the light of covid, they should have included individual cutlery with the platter so we are not digging in with our own forks. We had to ask for that.
Same thing with desert, it was noted that we would be sharing 2 desert items, no separate plates were provided to accommodate sharing without having to dig in with our spoons that we used to have the desert.
I would still recommend them to a friend but hoping they can provide some training to staff on these little details that could potentially lead to bigger problems for their customers and the restaurant itself.

I have been a loyal patron of Cardero’s for at least two decades!! Now more than ever, we need to support our local businesses. Tables were physically distanced AND plexiglass between tables! Outstanding! Felt very safe!!! Table with water view, great server, and delicious food, for a brief moment we forgot we were in a pandemic!!! So good for our mental health!! Thank you Cardero’s!!!

We had a lovely Covid-friendly experience celebrating a 40th birthday. The food was amazing, the service outstanding, and the drinks delicious!

Always great service and food. Also sanitizing process I witness gives me a lot of confidence.

Very good food for your money and they are always very friendly staff. I really enjoy eating here, and it’s not too expensive!

Our server did not check up on us until after we were finished dining. The noise level was high.

Went there for an anniversary. I know that a complimentary dessert is at the discretion of the server but the special note was added at the time of reservation. Not a big deal. Reviewing your guests’ reso notes would be a lot helpful to make your patrons night memorable. Our server didn’t seem like she knew what was going on. Don’t get me wrong, she was still really nice and attentive.

What gave the 3 stars was the Plank Salmon & oysters. It was super salty the first time they brought it then burnt the second, where they put the soy aside. I didn’t want to wait another 15 mins for my food again & I was already getting full grabbing food off my bf’s plate, so I didn’t complain the 2nd time around. Oysters from the Eastcoast (& I forgot the name) were disappointing most esp at $4.25/$4.75 ea. They were really small and had barely any meat in them.

My bf has never been here and thought the food, service & ambiance were magnificent. The pot of mussels were the bomb. I’ve always loved Cardero’s. Probably just one of those off nights.

Comfy waterfront atmosphere. There was live music in the lounge which we really enjoyed. The scallops were perfectly cooked. Service was very good.

Had a great dinner out with the family! Servers were outstanding and great with the kids!

Overall wonderful, sat out on the patio and it was more than warm enough even with the breeze and rain. Sam our server was absolutely great. i commented to my girls " she's the server I want in our restaurants!" Cardero's you so it right!
