Wine was excellent (and expensive). Gnocchi was excellent. Homemade. The Chilean sea bass was very good. Our antipasti was average. Service was excellent.

We found this amazing Italian restaurant by chance and so glad we've added it to our favorite list . The staff and the owners and everybody who works there is amazing! The food is outstanding never been disappointed yet thats why we iadded to a regular list we recommend it to anyone who loves Italian and fish.

I was anxious to go to Carisma. Although I had heard nothing about it, I live in the area and I was curious about trying it. The restaurant is quite beautiful. I was happy with our table location. I found the waiter somewhat intrusive. He hovered and walked by more times than necessary. He made us feel more than a little uncomfortable. Food was not bad but nothing special. This would not have mattered if the waiter had not over shadowed our entire experience. I have no intention of going back or recommending it to anyone. There are too many (incredible) choices in this city to bother giving Carisma a second chance. Thank you.

We love this restaurant! From the warm welcome, phenomenal service, excellent recommendations, beautiful atmosphere - and amazing food (truffle pasta … so so so good!) everything was perfect! Can not want to return!

usually one of my favourite options recently recommended to two couples from the UK and the USA, ate there last night had quite the worst pasta dish I have ever eaten. I didn't eat it, a duch confit with linguine so glued together I had to cut it with a knife and when I did find the minuscule pieces of duck they were dry enough to choke on and couldn't be swallowed. chef must have forgotten the sauce. Pasta special with rapini and truffle not much better but at least edible. Mine went back virtually untouched and given I was ravenous that is saying something. Our friends from the UK had chicken and Branzino(?) which they said was perfectly adequate. Tuna tartare appetizer tasteless but at least manageable. Choclate lave cake chocolatey enough. Best part was the bread which remains as I remember excellent but frankly it will take a hard crack on the head for me to give Carisma a try again which makes me sad as it used to be such a treat. Waiter had no Carisma, as an aside.

What a wonderful place. I was visiting Toronto, found this on google maps, confirmed with a local friend who said it was fabulous. The place was lively on a Tuesday night, the service was extraordinarily cordial, the food was imaginative and delicious. I was alone but was not rushed, was given a good table, and was treated very well indeed.

My only complaint would be when the waiter casually offered “still or sparkling” water, we said “still”, thinking it was just a glass of water from the pitcher. He quickly ran off and came back with a bottle of water for 2, which was an additional $9 to the bill. Towards the end of the meal, he refilled our glasses with (free) water from the pitcher, so it was a bit of a sneaky move, giving us the $9 bottle instead of free (tap) water from the pitcher. Aside from that, restaurant/ambience is lovely, service and food were outstanding. I would recommend the restaurant & will return.

My latest visit to Carisma was a business lunch with some colleagues. I've lost track of the number of meals I've had at Carisma but the one thing which never changes is the consistency of the food and service. The latest meal was no exception. My colleagues had the tuna tartare and I had the carpaccio to start. I had veal parmigiana, and my colleagues had Galleto Al Mattone (chicken with wine, and lemon juice), and the daily risotto. We had a bottle of the 2018 Nebbiolo with our meal. Dessert was tiramisu (2) and Tortino Al Cioccolato with espresso. Everything was delicious. The service was excellent, to its consistently high standard. I look forward to my next meal.

Bon restaurant avec des plats traditionnels italiens bien réalisés. Excellents vins. Bonne formule du chef à trois plats et dessert avec vins très bien choisis. Ambiance un peu survoltée et surtout très très bruyante. Cadre agréable par ailleurs et une décoration faite avec goût. Confortablement installés.
