    Servers did everything they could to make us happy. I had a reservation for a certain time but called an hour before to push it back. Unfortunately they gave my table away but were quick to fix their mistake as they found us a table in less than 10 minutes after we arrived. Our waiter had to move us to a new table to make room for a larger party but covered one of our appetizers as a courtesy. Very nice gesture. And when my girlfriend received an incorrect order, our waiter was quick to bring out the correct order. Amidst a very busy night, this restaurant bent over backwards to make us happy. Excellent service and excellent food!

    The food was fantastic! The over all ambience was a little lacking, and our server very friendly but seemed a little inexperienced. That said, I prefer the Main and Ottawa location, it just feels more professional and fresh. James street location needs some work in the front entry as well as the bathrooms. After using the bathroom before dinner, I wasn’t sure I wanted to stay. I’m glad we did as I mentioned the food was amazing! I will continue to love Caro but maybe from the other location from now on.

    First time here & very pleased. They accommodated our extra person without trouble. We brought in a birthday cake and they were okay with that. Food was delicious and priced reasonably. Husband loved the jerk chicken pasta. Very nicely decorated and ambiance. Will return.

    The calamari was nice and crispy, not greasy. The meat sauce was too spicy for some reason (which turned out to be an error in the kitchen), but they were gracious enough to quickly prepare a replacement for me with a discount on it. The service was great! We will definitely be back.

    Pizza was awesome! My Arugula salad was not. I asked for no cheese on the salad because I just don’t like cheese on my salad. Unfortunately there were no pears or blood oranges on it either. So it was bland. They said they weren’t in season. I went to the grocery store the next day and saw lots of pears and blood oranges. Other than that I loved the pizza.

    My daughter recommended Caro as had been there with friends. We were celebrating her birthday and really enjoyed ourselves. The food, service and ambience were great.

    Food was fantastic and the service was just as good. Good selection of wine. Love the look of the restaurant. Unfortunately the acoustics are terrible. We were seated across from two tables of extraordinarily loud patrons and it definitely detracted from our experience.

    I typically go to the Caro location on Ottawa St but this time my husband and I went to Caro on James to celebrate our anniversary. We received a complimentary drink, were seated at the front porch area and enjoyed a wonderful meal. The service and ambiance was great and I recommend this restaurant not only for the tasty food selections but also for the value. I will definitely go back.

    Nice place, good service. Limited menu but it was fine. I wouldn't order the rigatoni vodka again - sauce tasted like it had been sitting for a long time.

    The food was fabulous! We will be returning again. The waitress we had was amazing and the other staff as well. We were surprised at the inside as this was our first visit. It is an amazing setup inside an old building. Recommend highly!

    Good pizza.  We ordered a peach Caprese salad, which was very disappointing, especially for the price. If you’re going to serve a dish like this, each ingredient needs to be perfect. The peaches were skimpy, flavorless, and hard.  Service was OK but slow. I don’t think I would return. Maybe to the Ottawa Street location.

    Awesome spot for a quiet dinner or a celebration. Our waitress was really sweet and made sure we had everything we needed. Go earlier in the evening for a quieter experience. They had lots of reservations booked, even for a weekday night.

    Not sure what to say to not be rude, was a busy night with art crawl but not overly busy in the restaurant, service wasn't super great washrooms were out of toilet paper had a leaky faucet and garbage was overflowing with water all over the counter side salad was arugula with 5 full cherry tomatoes and oil.

    Our first experience at Caro on James was excellent. The ambience, combined with friendly and accommodating service made it feel like a place you could immediately relax in and enjoy your time. Our dinner was delicious and a great value.

    The menu is great and our server was lovely. The atmosphers is trendy and fun and overall the venue is clean. However, it was SO HOT!!!!! Uncomfortably - we had a group of 7 plus a baby and all agreed that if we were a smaller group we would have left, it was just too uncomfortable. We felt horrible for our sweaty server and can't imagine working in those conditions let alone having to cook in the back. Not sure if that is just the normal temperature or if the AC was broken - would love to return but not without calling ahead first for a temperature check! The thought of how many layers of sweat were on the seats that my legs were sticking to was borderline appetite ruining. Also, having a table set for 8 pushed up against a wall wasn't very comfortable - for one person to get out all of us had to shuffle out and put our butts in the faces of the people eating next to us. Side note - the gluten free dough at Caro is probably the most "normal"tasting gluten free dough I've had and would highly recommend (assuming it is the same- we had it at the other location)
