    So loud we couldn’t hear anything. They refused to seat us in a quieter room although many who came within 10 minutes of our arrival were seated in that room. Very disappointed in the service and the refusal to help us.

    Caruso's has gotten great reviews but I dislike shopping centers like Pike & Rose. So we tried it on a Sunday night when it would be less crazy. The quality of the food was impressive, even more so considering the volume they do. The pasta was clearly made by a human, the dishes were well-seasoned, the ingredients cooked just right. The menu is not exhaustive, however. Cocktails were well-crafted; I will reserve judgment on the wine list, since we got a half-carafe of house Montepulciano that was good but forgettable. Service was attentive, friendly, and timely. We've been looking for an upscale red-gravy Italian restaurant since Cesco closed - this is close but not quite it. Still, the food was tasty enough to put Caruso's into our rotation.

    First visit to Bethesda location. Sat promptly upon arrival and server introduced self, noted the occasion from our reservation. Appetizers , meatballs, Calamari and the Mozz in carrozza. perfectly crisp exterior yet tender inside . wife who does not normally like calamari, found this very good and shared the dish. meatballs tender and flavorful. wife enjoyed the mozz app. gnocchi dish and the bucatini bolognese. cooked perfectly , great depth of flavor , and not heavy at all . finished with butterfinger sundae and the nutella cannoli .. superb finish to meal. Chef and team deliver every meal, highly recommend.

    The food was delicious, fresh, and the servings were ample. The beer list is extensive. The meal was well paced and the service was attentive without being cloying. The pasta was amazing.

    We had a wonderful celebration dinner at Caruso’s Grocery. Our food was excellent from the lightly breaded chicken parm to several different kinds of pasta and the fresh garlic bread. We also enjoyed a few desserts, especially the tiramisu and the creme brûlée. They even brought a free glass of champagne for the guest we were celebrating. The kids and adults all enjoyed the meal. Throughout the evening the staff was helpful, friendly, and available, but not intrusive. The restaurant was somewhat noisy but not so loud as to make it so we could not hear each other. The food was delicious, the service friendly, and the restaurant was relaxed, not stuffy. I would highly recommend this restaurant for date night or a family meal.
