After seeing the reviews on OpenTable, I thought this would be a better experience. The service was very good. Our waiter was very attentive, and paid us a lot of attention. Unfortunately, the food was average and the ambience wasn’t much to write home about.

The food was absolutely outstanding. The appetizers were fresh and unique. All of us had different meals which were as incredible as we found on our treks (3) to Italy. The portion control was spot on. The bread was warm and such nicely complemented by the spread. Great drinks and fabulous spread of desserts. The real plus was the fantastic service, food suggestions, and suggestion of the cheesecake. After dinner drink nice. Gave us a quiet table per our request. Can I give a 5++++? Thanks, Jose’!

Fantastic place, don't let the outside fool you, it's a tastefully redone what looks like an old fast food place. Inside is nice but come here for the food. Nice sized menu not looking to offer every possible kind of dish, just a few of each type done expertly. We'll be here again.

I'm usually skeptical about lots of 5-star reviews for new places since I know friends and family come and leave their first-ever reviews to help a new resto out, but as this place started racking up the 5-star reviews from people with hundreds of reviews across platforms, we had to try. This is a restaurant to get excited about - love the Mexican influence through the menu. We can start with the airy focaccia served with olive oil, roasted garlic, and pureed chick peas - delightful and flavorful. The server recommended 3-4 appetizers for our party of four adults and one tween boy. The Calamari Frito for my calamari-loving son was thinly sliced and flash fried to perfection. The crab cakes were a complete reimagining of what a crab cake is on a beautifully-dressed salad with a nice dash of heat. The Calamari al Porto Rosa was very playful - it reminded me of sushi! The star of the course was the special - some sort of stuffed fried squash blossoms that were light and delicious. Everything showed incredible technique with unique and thoughtful flavor profiles. I had a seasonal butternut squash and short rib gnocchi for an entree, which was really good, but I wish I'd been a little more adventurous. My husband had the special, which were scallops, and he couldn't stop talking about them. My mom's short ribs were incredible and a HUGE portion. My dad had the Scaloppine ai Fungi and there wasn't a bit left on the plate. My son's steak was perfectly medium rare. We (well, I was stuffed and am not big on desserts in general so I didn't try them) shared two desserts with the bread pudding and a panna cotta. My dad isn't even much of a dessert person and he and my mom loved the bread pudding, I think she would have licked the plate if no one was watching. My husband raved about the panna cotta, and he's not normally one for flan/panna cotta/custard. We can't wait to come back!

What a find. It's truly a hidden gem.........for now. The food was fantastic, and the service was excellent. The fried calamari appetizer was tender, seasoned perfectly, and tasty. The focaccia bread served with the garlicky hummus was really, really good. We had to get several refills on that. And for main courses, the pasta was wonderful and craveable, and the meats and seafood were fresh and cooked perfectly. Really a great meal from start to finish and we will be back for sure. As they continue to put forth great food and pair that with great service, this will become a not so hidden gem.

Amazing food! I travel extensively for business, and this was the best Italian dinner I’ve had. Everything was fresh and hot. Meatball appetizer was great as well as the beet salad with fried goat cheese. Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp was delicious. As was the rigatoni with house made sausage meatballs and wild mushrooms. Highly recommend.

This is a newly opened Italian restaurant which did not disappoint! We’re always looking for new options in the northwest suburbs and this was a pleasant surprise. My Branzino Al Limon Mediterranean Sea Brass was superb!! My husband enjoyed his Scallopini ai Fungi veal with sautéed shallots and our friends enjoyed the delicious Rigatoni alla Trasterverin with homemade Italian sausage !! They delivered a delicious complimentary homemade tiramisu for my birthday celebration. I definitely recommend given this place a try! It be nice to keep these local new restaurants busy.

Can not say enough good things about this restaurant. Beyond delicious food with a fine dining aesthetic and experience. The staff was so kind and accommodating. The ambiance is cozy, inviting, and romantic! The dishes are beautiful and taste even better. Do yourself a favor and order all three courses! Dessert is not something you miss here. (I recommend the tiramisu and crème brûlée). Such a gift to have this place in the area, and was told it’s family owned! Happy to support!

We have been to Casa d Luigi 4 times in the last 2 months. This place is hands down the best Italian / Mediterranean restaurant in the area. the menu is creative and well executed. The service is friendly, efficient and welcoming. They are very accommodating to special requests. we've loved everything we tried. The panna cotta di buffala and tiramisu are must haves.

Really enjoyed our time at Casa Di Luigi. Four of us were celebrating a wedding anniversary. The wine was very good and all of us thought the food was excellent. We all had something different and all were cooked perfectly. Lots of nice surprises in the different tastes. All very good.

Casa Di Luigi is as good as it gets! We dined there this evening, and were very pleasantly surprised. The food and service were outstanding. The dining room was cozy, clean, comfortable and unpretentious. The restaurant is relatively new (approx. 2 months), but is clearly run by an experienced crew who seem to like what they do, and obviously appreciate their customers. We started with the light, fluffy, and delicious Panna Cotta di Buffala. The Cannolicci al Cartoccio was chock full of fresh, tender seafood in a nicely seasoned tomato cream sauce that showcased the flavors of the seafood. The Fettuccine alla Mazzarese was also exceptional and loaded with chicken - my wife ordered it without shrimp - she's weird like that. She loved it. My father-in law ordered the house salad with grilled chicken - not on the menu but they happily accommodated his request. He said it was terrific. The Tiramisu is a must have desert - you won't regret it. We can't wait to go back!

Dined on a Saturday night with my husband and everything was amazing. Food was unique and so delicious. Calamari and the Taglietelle were the stand outs from dinner, but every bite was exceptional. Service was attentive and knowledgeable. Cannot wait to go back and try more of the extensive menu!!!
