The pasta Nostra was very bland and didn't get a good taste of the prosciutto. Other than that dish everything else was wonderful.
Excellent! The food was delicious!
New Year’s Eve celebration
We went to a Christmas Eve pre fixe meal and I’m hopeful that this was simply an off night. It was our first time at this restaurant so hopefully they just didn’t have a groove swing going on. It seemed like a place with good potential and a nice restaurant ambiance but our service was quite spotty with drink orders being messed up, never asked if we wanted another drink as the night went on, bread brought to table late and right before food came out and then we had to ask when they were going to bring dessert when 10 plus minutes passed after clearing our plates.
Xmas eve- made reservations- never informed it was a price fix menu- app-entree-desert- I have dairy allergy- all I could eat was the salad minus Parmesan shavings so argali two cherry tomatoes- that’s it... owner admitted he didn’t consider allergies or options offered all the Prosecco I could drink
Restaurant was not up front with going off the menu on Christmas Eve. I spoke with them three times twice they called to confirm my reservation weekly and I also spoke with them after I booked my reservation through open table to confirm the seating locations for senior:handicap. To my surprise when we got there they were only offer a three course menu at $60 per person. It put me in a terrible bind as I knew everyone could not afford it as I had a 83 year old a 79 year old and a 75. We could not just get up and leave as reservations would have been impossible on Christmas Eve and our church services beginning in less than 2 hours. I ended up paying for the entire bill. Something that I was not prepared to do at all. Seniors can’t even eat all of that food. This was very misleading and the restaurant should have been upfront about menu change. I spoke with the manager in the side he was not at all apologetic. I did tell him that I was going to write my review and he shrugged his shoulders. Shame staff was great food was really good but I will not return. I ended up paying 479.61 for six people not including a $100 tip. Almost everyone could not finish their meal.
Wonderful dinner with live music playing which was very nice. The waiter could not have been more pleasant or helpful. We all enjoyed our evening very much.
Lived in the area for several years but never stopped here before. Joined friends for a quiet dinner and it was a great time. A trio played unobtrusively in the bar and we all had a great meal. The lasagna and bolognese were both winners as was the arancini. We will definitely go back. My only complaint/disappointment was the desserts were off the rack, industrial plates with no imagination.
Thanksgiving at Casa Nostra was very pleasant. The service was prompt and courteous. Our meals were delicious and beautifully plated. This was my first time visiting Casa Nostra, but not my last.
We loved the food, the ambiance, the decor and service. We will be returning.
Food was wonderful as always but I believe they were understaffed the service was lacking
It was a quiet Sunday evening and we were very satisfied with the service and the food. We had the meatball appetizer which was delicious and two pastas which were both well prepared. The service was fine and friendly. The olive bread that was served was quite nice but I would have preferred a white Italian bread for sauces and dips.
Very authentic! We had the arancini to start and it was phenomenal!! My friend had a stuffed trout meal, if I recall correctly, and it was beautifully done and delicious. Other friend had risotto with truffles and he said it was excellent. Only reason I’m not giving full stars is because I took a chance on the wonderfully simple and perfect bolognese but it was way too sweet and was disappointing. Aside of the bolognese, the location is nice, service was outstanding, and food was indeed authentic. I’d highly recommend!!
Terrific food. Enjoyed the live music and friendly customers in the bar area. Great selection on the menu something for everyone
Noisy air vent in the dining room. Food was good. Price was expensive for what I received. No bells and whistle’s, average service. Ambience was normal. I will not be going back nor will I recommend this restaurant to friends.
Good food. Very quiet at lunch time. Great location in center of town with convenient parking nearby.
Great location. Pretty good gluten free options. We arrived for an early dinner and they were out of some of the main dinner selections on the menu. They also do not offer a small salad with their main dinner entrees Service was good. A little pricey based on portions but worked for me, my husband left a little hungry.
Casa Nostra is a relaxing place to enjoy a quiet meal while being with those who are close to you.
First time in this establishment since the the new owner. There was a lot going on with a large business gathering and the first floor was was full. We were seated upstairs. This may have affected the service and food preparation.
Our server was very good and attentive. Our food was ok and my pasta dish was as expected. My wife ordered the veal marsala and she was not impressed by the dish. The veal was thick and tough with not much marsala on the meat. It seems to have been over cooked. We will need to ge back back on a lesss busy night before I could recommend to a friend.
First of all, the food was delicious; however, the small amount without garnishes, presentation or without an overall great dining experience, $27 for a non-meat pasta dish is a little pricey based on the local restaurant options and market. Also, after finished first round of drinks, was never offered another.
We cancelled a different reservation so we could go to Casa Nostra. Wow, was that ever a mistake! They didn't have the first two choices on the menu I wanted. The food was slow getting to us. The server dropped a utensil on me and stained my shirt. It took an hour to get an appetizer and salad out to us so we ended up cancelling our entrees and paid for what we already had. I was so disappointed as my wife and I were really looking forward to going out by ourselves to a nice restaurant for dinner. We weren't the only ones in the place who were also having a less than positive experience. The table next to us waited a long time for an appetizer, only for it to be cold when it arrived. Sorry, it will be our first and last time to this place.
Very nice Italian restaurant in the heart of Leesburg. Nice building and ambiance with a quiet upper floor and a ground floor with a bar and live music on weekends. A place to have a nice dinner, food and service was great. A nice place to eat at the bar or bar top tables and enjoy good food, watch sports and listen to a band play.
Sea bass was delicious but there is an entire performance at your table to remove it from the weird cocoon thing it's cooked in... because of the table arrangement and where I was seated, it was all performed behind me. Pork shank was small and overpriced, although reportedly delicious.
Paid less and tipped more at Mon Ami Gabi in Reston for all-around better experience at roughly the same price.
We ordered the meatballs. We ate them but they were way over cooked. You had to use a knife to saw thru them. The waiter took $5 off the price of the meatballs ($10). He should have taken them completely off the menu.
My date had a shrimp meal that was touted as being “a little spicy, not much”. She could not finish it.
My meal was ok.
I would recommend if you eat there to insist upon the meals being prepared appropriately. Since this was a date, I didn’t want to kick up a fuss
Service excellent - food was disappointing.
Authentic Italian restaurant with an elegant dining room. Service was very friendly, courteous and professional. Wine selection is good, especially the many Italian wines available. The spinach salad and carpaccio starters with complimentary rosemary bread and olive oil were delicious. Entrees and dessert were fresh and inviting, as if we were in Italy! The perfect spot for a celebratory dinner or an evening out on the town.
We were greeted by a hostess who assumed that two women going out to dinner were gay and wanted to know if we are celebrating our anniversary.
Service was slow and poor which was unacceptable since there were only eight diners. The food was editable but not enough for me to bring home what I did not eat. My friend had to get up and get her own take out box.
The view from my table was an open door to the toilet.
Went on a Friday night and the town was having its monthly street party. Bar was crowded but dining room was not. We have been here before and we’re delighted so we were expecting another good experience. Both our entrees were warm -not hot which was disappointing. Will probably try one more time but didn’t consider this a good experience
We are big fans of Casa Nostra. Food is always delicious and service generally impeccable. The service was not quite up to par primarily because there was a large party going on and the restaurant was very busy. They seemed a bit short staffed.
I had the sea bas and it was amazing! Never had anything like it.
The best meal we had on our vacation
Flavorful food, friendly service, in warm setting.
Casa Nostra never disappoints. The Lasagna was delicious, and the Bolognese was meaty and filling. Even their tiramisu was good, light and creamy. We really enjoyed it.
Good food an service was nice. Empty restaurant.
This was our first time visiting the restaurant and everything was so wonderful. It certainly will not be our last visit!
Great food. Nice place
Our waiter was kind and did a good job considering he was the only one on the floor. The food was good, and a reasonable price.
we split the arancici of the day as an appetizer, and the waiter knew it, but we had to ask for small plates and there was no spoon to share the sauce. The rice ball was good. There were no real evening specials. I got the 5 cheese ravioli, which was fine, but tasted of Sysco. My husband got the tortollone of the day, which was four medium-size dumplings in a shallow bowl of broth. There was no spoon for the broth and for $34, four wasn't enough. I gave him 1 ½ of my raviolis to fill the void. His zabaglione was lovely, but my torta alla nonna had a crust that was underdone and a filling that was overdone. The wine was fine.
Food and service was great. However, there was a large party with 6 children that were very loud throughout dinner. The staff never addressed the noise level. Left us with an overall bad experience.
My family and I love Casa Nostra- the food is delicious, and this trip was no exception. I would like to add, however, that the portion size of two of our three entrees was lacking this trip. We have not had this issue prior at Casa Nostra. My husband and I ordered the mushroom ravioli and daily tortellini respectively. We each received four raviolis/tortellinis, each about the size of a golf ball. That works out to $6 per ravioli, tortellini even more. We finished our meals very quickly, we’re still hungry and filled up on table bread. We didn’t say anything at the time because we didn’t want to spoil the experience with our family. I would like the restaurant to know- hence this review.
We sat in the bar area so we could enjoy the Lisa Fiorilli Jazz Trio. They added to our experience. Food was delicious.
