The service is top tier. Parking was easy. Food delicious.
Everything was done right.
On a positive note, there are many choices on the menu, ranging from Italian dishes to different meats. But back up the Brinks truck because it’s very expensive. And while the portions are sizable, the quality is underwhelming. My wife & I took our two young daughters (18 and 10), and split two appetizers. The thick bacon was very fatty, and strangely in a bbq sauce. The spicy meatballs had a nice presentation, but tasted more like leftover chili than an Italian meatball. They prepare the entrees with a lot of salt, especially on the salmon dish. We were seated in the back room for a 6:45 reservation at a table very close to other tables on our left and right. It was a bit awkward as during any silence at our table we felt like we were inserted in the conversations going on to the left and right of us. The biggest disappointment was the service. Twice busboys tried to deliver meals to our table that were for other guests, and dishes sat for way too long on the table until we finally had to ask our server twice that they be taken away. Also had to hunt down our server to get the check. We were beyond ready to leave, and irritated. Total bill came to $300 for the four of us, of which my wife and I only had one glass of wine each. The bill included an automatic 18% gratuity, which apparently is their policy on all tables of four or more. On an already expensive meal with really poor service, we felt that was excessive and unmerited. We will not be going back.

As usual everything was excellent. Staff was kind courteous and professional. Food was delivered hot,and in an appropriate time,and the food was seasoned and cooked to perfection

Extensive menu provided good options for everyone. Food was delicious, with generous servings, so even pricey dishes were a good value. Everything arrived hot and cooked as per everyone’s preference in terms of temperature (done-ness). Service was prompt, pleasant and attentive. The entire party was pleased with the experience.
It was our first time and we loved it.
Food and service great however I cannot remember being in a louder restaurant in my life. I felt bad yelling at the waiter for everything. Again great food and great service but unusually loud.
5 star experience. We may return each year for our next anniversary.
Food was delicious. Service a little choppy for the last hour of happy hour due to how busy they were but they brought all of our items at once so it worked out. One of my go to spots for delicious food.

If you’re looking for a high quality steakhouse don’t stop here. I didn’t eat anything from the raw bar but it all looked good and free of cheese and salt. All the food was salty and tasted like the cheese. Even the wedge salad was awful because the blue cheese dressing was vinegary and just bad. The slab bacon was boneless pork ribs, tasty but not bacon. We enjoyed the house chips until we actually had some of the toppings with them. The French onion soup was good but again the cheese over powered it. The Mac and Cheese was a epic failure. The steak looked good in presentation but tasted just basic. The meal was a bust from start to finish and that popcorn recipe should be sidelined permanently.
This was my second time there but not as happy as my first visit.
Food was good but the service was not on point and the furnace must have broken because the place was freezing cold. The waitress served complimentary coffee yet we never warmed up.
Would attend again but in a more comfortable atmosphere.

Waiter was not very welcoming, we were there for maybe an hour and felt very rushed by both the waiter and the looks from other staff. I have had significantly better experiences there when sitting in the bar area. I do not plan on sitting anywhere but the bar if I come back in the future.
Took friends from out of town to dinner. We had a great time, not rushed at all and they thought the food was wonderful.
The service was excellent. Our meals too an hour to. One out, the steaks were over cooked and everything was very salty
Steaks were good. Bruschetta looks pretty but the bread itself kinda underwhelming. Lobster Arancini.. really wanted to love this but it was just too salty, I don’t think the cheeses in it goes with the lobster bisque flavor at all. We ate in the bar area and service was excellent.

First time at Chop House. Was a bit concerned when we arrived as the bar was extremely loud however we were seated at the far end of the dining room and had no issue with noise. Good was outstanding. Service was very good but not quite as attentive as I am used to at high end steak houses. However still no complaint. Server was very good.
As always, the staff was exceptional and The steaks were magnificent!!!!
The chateaubriand for 2 was excellent. It was a special occasion and we also had apps, the avocado/crab and the fried shrimp, both of which were good but not outstanding. Wine was good and reasonably priced. The experience was marred by the noise level, which made it hard for us to have a normal conversation. Not the best place for a romantic dinner, but the steak was superb.
Our food was delicious! Our server was great. Highly recommend the lobster arancini.

Wow!! BEST Steak in Ct. by FAR! Cool concept. Great staff. Shrimp Cocktail OUTSTANDING! Great Value steak price is comparable to other local "Steak" places, however then they "upcharge" you for "sides" our Filet Mignon came with potato [three choices] and a vegetable, and it was cooked to perfection! They have sides if you want them, if you can handle them, we had a few, highly recommend the melted Gorgonzola! AAA+ we will be back!

Really friendly staff, and the food was excellent. My husband's ribeye was cooked perfectly and he was thrilled with it. I had the short rib which was rich and delicious. Portions were pretty large in my opinion, and worth the price. Neither of us could finish our meals, so we get to experience them all over again at home. We would definitely go back!
Nice place with friendly staff. We were greeted by more than just the greeters as we entered and left the restaurant. The food was excellent and the service was very good.
Always a great time. We go here for all of our corporate events too. No reason to go to any other place in New Haven for a steak!

Restaurant was busy and loud. Food and drinks were all very good. Not inexpensive but at least you get potato and vegetable with your meal. You don’t have to buy everything all-a carte.
