   Beautiful restaurant with a great ambience. The waiter was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. A good variety of dining choices with weekly specials. Our food was delicious and hot. We would definitely go again and I recommend the restaurant.

   The spaghetti carbonara dish I had was so so… the pancetta smelled funny and I paid the price later. For the cost of my meal , I expected better.

   Staff was extremely rude ! Practically kicked us out by turning off the lights on us . Food was cold & again , did not feel welcomed at all . Manager to be exact , he was extremely rude from when I walked in to when I left . We heard great things about this restaurant, food was good even though it was cold but the staff was horrible . Hopefully they can be more welcoming to guests no matter the circumstances.

   Terrific service, after the host counter that was empty & then confused. Very loud with a lot of young children, even at 8 Pm Saturday night. Limited wine list but very, very good food.

   We went in for a birthday party, and we had a great time. They were hosting 2 different communions when we got there, so it was quite loud, but so were we 🤣. The food was great, the service was a little slow, probably because they were very busy. Everything was hot and fresh. Yuri (I hope I spelled it correctly) our server was fantastic at getting us everything we needed. Would definitely come back again!

   I brought my niece for her 19th birthday celebration - just a one-on-one dinner. As her favourite cuisine is Italian - it was the perfect choice. She had a pasta dish, I had the veal scallopine limone and we shared the calamari with the shrimp. All of it was absolutely delicious!! For dessert we each had the tiramisu - very generous portions and it was divine!!! The ambience was beautiful.. the only issue was towards the end of our meal it was a bit difficult to carry on a conversation due to two of the large parties that were going on during our meal. But overall... it was an absolutely magical experience!! Our waiter was very attentive given that he had a large number of other guests to serve and he apologized for my drink taking so long because of the one bartender on staff. Not an issue at all. I would definitely come back to visit again. Towards the end of the meal I'm guessing it was the manager that came to our table to ask us how our experience was... this is always a nice classy touch to show that a restaurant cares about their clientele!! Looking forward to coming back for another milestone occasion!

   Went for Easter lunch and really enjoyed our meal and atmosphere. Servers were super sweet and helpful. Food was delicious too. Will definitely come back.

   It was our first time at Castello Ristorante Antico. We made reservations for our parents anniversary and from the minute we walked in our waiter greeted us with a smile and seated us offering us flat or sparkling water. We ordered Caesar salad, cocktail shrimp and garlic bread for appetizers. The presentation and service given by our waiter Yuri was amazing. For our mains we had both pasta and pizza, the food was delicious. My parents had a wonderful time and would like to thank the kitchen and our waiter Yuri

    The service was good Except the weather smelled bad from eating Garlic. The starters were good The main dishes were not tasty We ordered a salad with salmon And we had to return the fish because it tasted fishy The dessert were not tasty we ate tiramisu and it was not fresh We will definitely not return to eat at this restaurant again. The prices are expensive for no reason because the food was not really tasty and fresh.

    I waited 30 minutes to be seated even though I had a reservation. We told the host twice. The host was picking favourites. On top of that and hour wait on our food we ended up leaving without eating anything other than salad which took 30 mins to come out. Horrible experience will never go back. The server was horrible too. Even the drinks took 20 mins to come out. Very upset as this was a valentines date dinner. Do better. I was also charged for the meal I did not even eat.

    Unacceptable Service. Should not take 90 minutes to get food out. They should not book so many tables if they don’t have the staff. Slow kitchen. Slow servers. Slow bar. Food is good but will not go again.

    Despite stating food allergies, they brought out food that we could not eat. They also delivered raw/uncooked salmon to our table, we had to ask for them to bring us a cooked piece.

    We visited Castello on Saturday Feb 11 for an early Valentine’s Dinner. The entire experience WAS made beautiful and pleasant by our excellent server Natalia. We had the pleasure to sit in her area upstairs. She made us feel so special. We had the calamari which was great. Followed by the Ossobuco and fettuccine and a nice thin pizza. Definitely recommend and would go back.

    I booked because it was close to where we were and pleasantly surprised by how good the food was - very busy so service a bit slow but okay. Focaccia the best we’ve had - same with mussels and pizza. Tartuffo was great too. Highly recommend it.

    We enjoyed the ambience and the service very much. The reason for the average rating was the quality of the food which was below average. The focaccia bread was very dry and doughy and the gnocchi was chewy and doughy as well. Finally the crispy calamari was very chewy.

    The service started off excellent, but as the evening progressed, it was slower and slower. It took forever for us to get our dinner (we were seated at 8 pm and our dinner didn’t arrive until 9:45!) - One person at our table had to wait 15 additional minutes for his meal! Food was tasty but lukewarm. Nice ambiance though

    Our server Ava was amazing actually all the servers were super nice and attentive. The main course was good the only things I would like to point out is the garlic bread which was just 4 pieces of bread with a little mozzarella sprinkled on top which was very under whelming. And lastly we were allowed to take the rest of the bottle of wine home. If we were told before hand that they don’t allow wine to be taken home we would have ordered by the glass. So the only choice we had was to either leave the half bottle of wine or drink and drive. We chose to be responsible and leave the rest of the $80 bottle of wine.

    The food was good, but the meatballs were a bit raw. They quickly brought us a new plate. 5 of us got our food quickly but 1 took a very long time. Also, they serve imported Italian water which tastes very good but you have to pay for the water.

    While the food was great, it took over an hour to be seated after we had a reservation for 8pm for 14 people. They double booked the restaurant and were very scattered. They did compensate with champagne and antipasto which was nice but it was very frustrating to have to wait for so long. The kitchen was also backed up and we didn’t get our food until 10:30pm. Our server was fantastic. He was a running around like a mad man! Overall experience was ok. Will probably go back when it’s not the holiday season to see if the service improves.

    Our reservation was changed because they were overbooked we had to ask to get seated. We had to wait over half hour for a server to take our order. We had to ask for the server. Bread came without butter. Calamari only had one piece of lemon for two people. We asked for another piece and we never got it. They were overbooked with parties. Food was good.

    The service is a little slow but still friendly. My steak wasn't medium rare it was well done. The vodka martini was dirty which I never asked for but it was still okay. The interior is very beautiful.

    The food took 2 hours to come out and when they served it, it was cold, plate was microwaved… the management was very unprofessional, specifically the store manager. There was only one table being properly served and it turned out they were friends with the manager. Every other table was waiting for their food like our table. If you want to enjoy your evening, do yourself a favour and do not come here.

    Ordered steak meal and only got small basket of fries served with it. Menu did state steak and fries. However, for the price of the meal we got no other vegetables. Very disappointing as we have recommended this restaurant to many friends. Also, the price of a small scoop of lemon sorbet was $11.00. I understand its a restaurant but the price was over and above.     Nice ambience, the food was average. Don’t order the cheese platter, not very well done. The service was terrible. Waitress not very good and overcharged us for some items; I only noticed when I got home. Way too expensive for the quality and quantity that you get. Definitely will not bring anymore of my clients back there. Overall: Disappointing. Was expecting better based on positive reviews I have read. I dine out often with clients, so maybe I have a better appreciation for quality food and service than the average person. My 2 star rating is a generous one.
