CATCH STEAK NYC is known for its fun, shareable, streaming style service including an entire ‘not steak’ section with fish, vegetarian/vegan options. We are 1 of only 2 restaurants in NY to carry an official Kobe license.
Seating includes a spacious main dining room, rooftop cabana & patio space. Outdoor seating is based on night of availability and cannot be guaranteed. Full party must be present to be seated.
We ask our guests to strictly abide by the smart casual dress code.
No Excessively Revealing Clothing. No Athleticwear, Beachwear, Tank Tops, T-Shirts, Sweatshirts/pants, Casual Shorts, Hats or Flip Flops/Slides.
Admittance is at the discretion of management who reserves the right to refuse service to patrons who are inappropriately dressed.

    Our server had 7 tables. She was nice but there was no way should be attentive. Fora $700 meal this doesn’t work. She should’ve had no more than 3 tables.

    10/10 experience. The ambiance was amazing. The food was *chefs kiss*. Amazinggg. My boyfriend had a 12 ounce steak, I had the mushroom crusted salmon. For sides, we had mashed potatoes, asparagus, and waffle fries. Sooo good. The drinks were the right amount of strong and they tasted great! Can’t wait to go back.

    My daughter graduated from middle school and wanted to celebrate at our favorite restaurant. Literally everyone from the gentleman working security in the front, to the host team and the servers & runners were beyond hospitable. The table was always well maintained thanks to the diligence of the busser team. My daughter enjoyed every bite and took a ton of pics to commemorate the evening. Thank you for your continued excellence! I’ll see you soon, for sure!

    Let me start with the food was amazing. But we ordered drinks at 7:10 and didn’t get them until 7:45 and the restaurant was not busy. Our entrees took over an hour from when we ordered and many items were missing. The manager mentioned the system was down but it was a long wait and almost no update. It would have been nice to be told “hey the system is down we’re working on it, might be a few extra minutes.” Also when the first round of drinks arrived the paper straws had melted from sitting for so long….

    First time trying this restaurant on Father’s Day. Beautiful place, great vibe but our server was not the best. He was polite but he was not very knowledgeable on the menu/drinks. Didn’t have any suggestions and his answers sound like they were scripted. Also when one of our dishes came out (shrimp w lobster sauce) server/runner failed to mention the sauce would sizzle and the sauce went all over my blazer. Overall it was an ok experience but not enough to bring us back or to suggest to friends and family

    I decided to have a dinner party for my birthday. This place is beautiful from when you walk in. The hostess and bartender gave amazing service. Once we were seated at our table my experience changed. One of my guest ordered a pina colada which she didn’t like. Which she expressed to the Waiter, Collin. My guest asked for a sweet white wine which Collin suggested a Resling white wine. Once again my guest wasn’t pleased with the taste of the resling. Following expressing this with Collin a manager came to check on the table but proceeded to say we don’t taste drinks here. Which my guest as well as the rest of the table was aware but we were was dissatisfied in the taste of the drinks were presented. Instead of probing to truly see what a paying customer is looking for we were given the attitude as if she had no room to be satisfied and had to continue drinking whatever was presented. After that the table received better service from the buss boys than our actual waiter. We didn’t get checked on what so ever afterwards. As if we were being avoid after the interaction with the manager. With the price and ambiance of this venue we should have nothing but stellar service from being to end. Not only having stellar food.

    The hostess was incredibly rude and disrespectful - when I complained to the manager he did buy us a round of shots but then it took 10 mins for water, we had to ask for utensils and plates for sharing.

    The service was terrible at Catch Steak. With a reservation in place at 8:30pm, we had to wait over 45 minutes for a table and they didn't even place us in the main dining room when seats were available. We finally sat down at 9:18pm. Once seated it took another 15-20 minutes for a waiter to ask us for our order. I asked for a medium rare steak and they gave me a medium/medium well steak. The quality has gone down exponentially in the past 6 months. I used to be a loyal customer but this place as changed. Please stay away.

    We had a reservation for 8:30pm and they took 20 minutes to sit us. They were not apologetic about it and gave us attitude. 40 minutes later after sitting, they hadn’t taken our order. I spoke to the manager, who wasn’t apologetic about it either. I had to show him the reservation time for him to understand we had been already there for an hour with no drinks or food. They sent a small “complimentary” appetizer, which they ended up adding to the check in the end. After reminding them it was complimentary and we didn’t order it, there was barely an apology. They took a long time to bring the drinks, the food and the check, every time. We thought we’d be done by 9:30pm or 10pm and we were not able to leave until past 11:15pm. Probably not going back. Too bad, because I love Catch NYC.
