    Good service and great ambience. No waiting as we had a reservation. Disappointed with the quality of the food. Ordered Sirloin steal , medium and it was tough and stringy and undercooked. The baked potato was small and burnt on one end. My partners order of ribs were cooked well but had way to much sauce in them.

    Was not overly impressed to previous times dining there. I felt overwhelmed and rushed by our server which I did not appreciate. We ordered our appetizers and he pushed us to order our main meals which I hoped would not arrive in a timely manner together but lo and behold we were not even midway through our appetizers and he shows up with her meals! I was not happy and I told him we never asked to have everything put in at the same time him working there he should have known better My guest ate his food I returned mine. Then when I was ready to eat I told our waiter when he brought my steak it was overly cooked and was dry which I did not touch the waiter came back at the end of our meal and asked what was wrong and I said the steak was over cooked he said I can bring another one which made no sense since my guest had finished his meal and we were ready to leave. I was disappointed and I was not even credited or deducted the steak I did not eat a very poor service overall and disappointed

    Both our steaks were extremely undercooked, so was the table’s next to us. Lobster mac and cheese very bland for the price. Calamari rubbery. Overall underwhelmed for a steakhouse.

    The rib eye I had was fabulous! Done medium rare as requested. No problem deleting the potatoes and substituting a wedge salad!

    I would suggest that you work with your restaurants who use open table because we will never return to CattleBaron because the past 2 times I booked with them through open table, I put in notes and identified special occasions (Anniversary on July 7th, Husband's Birthday August 15th) but I had to ask about my notes to ensure that I got what I had requested and nothing was done to commemorate either occasion. July bill was over $300 and August 15th bill was over $400. As you are the source site for my notes and comments, I think it would be wise for you to see how your restaurants are using these portions of your program because as the end use customer, it has been a double fail on two special occasions.

    Our server( Taylor ) was very friendly and attentive. She was quick to meet our needs. We arrived just at opening so was very quiet at first. A large group arrived later so it got a little noisy but not unbearable. The food was excellent and we left with full bellies and smiles on our faces. We will be back to enjoy another anniversary dinner.

    We sat on the patio and it was very nice. The food was good but I was expecting the steak to taste a lot better. The double baked potato was not good. The desert was very very good.

    Took my wife in for our anniversary while in Calgary. Enjoyed everything about the restaurant. Atmosphere was great. Food was fantastic and so was the price. Staff were very attentive and professional. We will for sure recommend to our friends and also will return in the future.

    The server we had continuously forgot items we ordered. Took our order for mains several times and then forgot sides. The order I had I asked for medium and was delivered a rare-medium rare meal. Waited for her to come back but by the time she did I picked around the food. Usually I love cattle baron. Must have been an off day. Wish we would’ve saved the money instead of wasting it on a poor experience this time

    While visiting Calgary we wanted to try a steakhouse near the airport. Three of us went and the Service was good and the restaurant was pleasant and comfortable. The food was subpar and disappointing. I had prime rib and twice baked potato. The meat was just ok no taste and the potato was bland and overcooked. My wife had steak and it was over cooked and not great, her twice baked was also bland and not good. She said the gravy tasted like it was from a package and the potatoes from a box. The third dish we had was tuna and it was overcooked and not great. The comment was how to wreck a good piece of tuna. The bread was good, baked Brie good, but the Caesar salad was bland and no flavour. If you have a choice choose the Keg as it is always way better than this. Too bad as I had high hopes for this place but wow were we disappointed. I will say the waitress was very good and no complaints there.

    Everything was great. We appreciate being asked our preference for side of the restaurant and the type of seating. Drinks were amazing, food was exceptional, only minor note to take away is the béarnaise sauce was not hot, seemed slightly cooler. But other then that amazing dining experience and service etc was wonderful.

    The food is amazing as always. When you go there request Taylor as your server. She is awesome always smiling and happy. She makes the experience so much better. We had the escargots of course and the prime rib. My husband and I love the fact that they are super consistent with their food. It tastes amazing all of the time.

    We have been going to the NE CattleBaron for a long time now. Always make a reservation requesting the booth in the lounge . The last 2 times we arrive to find that they seated people there when they could have seated them elsewhere. They usually put the reserve sign on the table but they didn't . The manager didn't seem to care and commented that it was Friday and a reservation only guarantees a table . The lounge was not full and they could have seated these other people at other tables . My comment back was I requested the booth in the request area and her reply was WE ONLY TAKE THEM WITH A GRAIN OF SALT. I couldn't believe she just said that , I replied that's not good , the request area shouldn't be on there then and that is very bad customer service . She was quite rude about it. In my job if I took customer's requests with a grain of salt I wouldn't have a job. When you have been going there for years you expect consistency and at what you pay to eat out now, staff should be more aware of their service quality. I request the booth always because it's more comfortable for my bad back and hip. Thank God for Marie and Erin making the latter part of our time there more pleasant. Our server was someone else who got friendlier later during our meal .I hope CB realizes that customer service and loyalty should be top notch and mean something when you go to a place like theirs. I am in customer service myself and never treat people's request WITH A GRAIN OF SALT .

    When I made a reservation, I was not notified that there was a restaurant wide party/birthday going on. Very disappointing, since it was very loud, and at times could not even hear my guest talking to me. Not upset with the party but with Cattle Baron. Our bill was $400.00, and it will be the last for only notifying people of the party when they arrived to the restaurant, with a sign on the door.
