When we arrived we were told we had a time limit and then they need the table back. That was rude and off putting. We had planned to have drinks, appetizers. Salad, dinner and desert. Needless to say the time limit wasn’t working for that. Additionally they are a steak house that doesn’t deliver steak cooked properly. I requested mid-rare. It came mid-well. My husbands steak was over as well. Although only medium. They did offer to re-fire it. Then I can eat alone or the people I am dining with eat cold. Also we apparently had a time limit. When the bill came we were charged for a steak I didn’t eat I had the veg and about 3 bites of the meat.

Our top sirloin steak and steak and shrimp orders were prepared as requested. Very busy on the evening we dined. Our experience on two previous occasions was much quieter and less rushed. Nonetheless, a nice evening out.

It was date night and we wanted to try somewhere we haven't been. This was a great experience. The service from the moment we walked in to leaving was great; friendly, efficient and professional. The prime rib and salmon dinners were excellent and that apple gallet dessert our server, Shane, recommended was worth the trip on its own. We need to go back to try some of the other things on the menu!

The meal and service were wonderful as usual at this location, never disappointed. We had dinner at Royal Oak in August and were so disappointed. I emailed the manager and district manager and heard nothing back. Have not returned, so happy this location is consistently great!

It was very noisy. We couldn't hear our waiter unless he hunched down close to us. Also I had specified on the reservation that this was a special event-a birthday. Other diners had their birthdays celebrated, but not us. It was also cold inside the restaurant. I had to wear my coat during the meal to be comfortable. Overall a very disappointing experience.

The little secret in Sundance. Food and service is exceptional. A bit too loud for my liking, I found it was difficult to hear our waitress due to the ambient noise level.

The food is consistently excellent here. Our server, Elizabeth, was awesome! We have celiac and had to request gluten-free options. She double checked on things to ensure they were safe for us, which was just lovely. Our food was excellent!

A 2 hour limit for a Saturday dinner is a bit daunting but we did pay our bill exactly 2 hours after arriving. Is that really necessary just to add a few more customers to the day’s tally? CattleBaron is not a good choice for a non-beef eater but when the rest of your party loves steak and prime rib, you make the best of it. The steak Oscar my friend ordered was excellent, her husband’s prime rib was good only, my husband’s steak was good only and my Mediterranean chicken was good only. Would have loved a better fish option as salmon and rare tuna are not appealing. If a steak place can’t deliver an excellent steak and is more interested in making sure they get a few more customers in instead of focusing on the food quality, there’s no reason to go back. There are a lot more steakhouses in Calgary!

As usual food was very good, portions generous and service good. We had a table beside a very busy aisle with servers constantly going by that reduced enjoyment of the meal. Restaurant has very poor sound dampening.

Horrible waitress, very uninterested and seemed like she just didn't want to be there. Saw her come by the table 3 times in total. Never asked if we wanted another drink or dessert. Just asked if we wanted the bill.

I found it to be so loud , which I understand very busy. the food my pasta was not good at all... mushy shrimps was over cooked, and sauce was watered down. ribs over cooked and really dry. I have had dinner at this location many times i don't think i have had a meal this bad in a very long time .

We were seated right away, our server Kaylee was really great. Pleasant, attentive and efficient. Food was hot and delicious. Generous portions. We were impressed! It’s one of our favorite restaurants in Calgary.

Great food although pricey compared to the Keg! Had to wait a long for a waiter when we were seated. Chairs were very uncomfortable. No support. Would recommend it though.

Overall really disappointing. The salmon was good. However, the $49 prime rib was chewy, unseasoned, and under cooked. This was hands down the worst prime rib I've ever had. I've been here on many occasions in the past, just not in the past few years, and the food has always been good, especially the steak.

We went to celebrate our anniversary to Cattle Baron and received exceptional customer service. Food was amazing. I ordered filet mignon and my husband rib eye steak with double baked potatoes and it was delicious. Kids, babies everyone is welcome. Location is easy to access and lots of free parking spots available. Would highly recommend this restaurant. We had fantastic supper.

Food came quickly despite having a few very large groups. This impressed me quite a bit. Service was great we were given time to have a look at the menu then once our menu was placed on the table, Shane came by and too our order. I like that too. Food was very good, it arrived fresh and hot, nothing sitting and waiting in the kitchen. Overall I enjoyed my dinner and my experience. Noise level was high but that’s understandable with gatherings happening. I definitely will come back. Two thumbs up for me.

Another amazing dining experience at CattleBaron. I love the consistency of the experience here. It was extremely busy and yet our server greeted us within a minute of sitting down and ensured we had drinks and had a chance to ask about the menu. The service was once again impeccable. Our drinks were never empty, and we were treated like valued guests. The food was delicious. From start to finish we enjoyed every minute. This is now our go-to restaurant because we can count on it being a fantastic experience every time. Whatever the owners/managers are doing to have such wonderful staff - keep it up beside this is what sets this place apart. CONSISTENTLY EXCELLENT. Thank you.

We have always enjoyed the Cattlebaron and their spectacular meals. What I noticed this time was waitress doing bussing staffs jobs, bread scaled down as well as portions but still paying the same price. We will continue to go to the CattleBaron however less frequently.
