   Cattle Barons is the #1 restaurant for a mouth watering steak, the servers are very attentive and personable. Everyone I have brought to Cattle Barons has made this their #1 place as well.

    Service was not up to par. We have been many times in the past with impeccable service, the servers have always introduced themselves in the past and brought bread right away etc. this one was quite gruff, no introductions,,and very slow to come over and take our drink order, greet us, but once we got started it was better.

    Booking a table on line was very easy, straight forward, the staff are really pleasant and helpful, terrific atmosphere, wine recommended by the waiter was excellent. food great ,cooked just as ordered. prices average to simmler establishments.

    It was my husband and my 40th anniversary. I made reservations the previous week. That was all fine. We however felt rushed by our waiter. We had just barely sat down and he was asking if we wanted to start with a drink. Hadn’t even had the opportunity to open up the drink menu. Then after our drinks came we never did get asked if we would like another drink. We ordered our food, that came, we ate, we were asked if we’d like desert or coffee/tea. When we declined our bill was brought, we paid and left. So our reservation was for 5:15, we were gone by 6:30, give or take. Good thing we weren’t with another couple or group, that would’ve been a very expensive short night

    Acceptable but unremarkable lunch time experience with friends. Server was scripted, loud, not able to answer inquiry about various red wine by the glass. No offer to ask a coworker or seek out info to answer our inquiry. Hmmmm No input as to how we would like the bill presented. ( We were 2 couples) In the end, bill arrived split right down the middle, even though each couple’s order was noticeably different. Oh well, we settled the bill as presented, grudgingly left lowest tip at 15%. We usually tip well for great service. Perhaps an off day. Restaurant not crowded and while we had a great visit with friends ( which would have happened at any venue), neither we, nor our friends, are inclined to return.

    Our server was very attentive and met all of our requests. I ordered salmon (at a steak house! lol!) and it was absolutely delicious ~ very moist and tasty. The sides were cooked to perfection ~ thank you! I would definitely return as well as recommend to friends or family!

    The food here is always quite good. This time (Mother's Day) everything was absolutely awesome. We have had escargot all over Canada and the US but no one makes it as good as the CattleBaron South and also at a great price. This is a must have dish for my wife and I every time we are there and it never disappoints. The Top Sirloin and Shrimp combo was perfect and my wife's Fillet was perfection as well. Baked potato and veggies were spot on. The side dish of mushrooms also was great. The only issue we had was that we did not have any room left for desert.

    Great service, great atmosphere. The Calamari was a bit too chewy for me taste but still good. At a table near us, there was a man speaking quite loudly on his phone and he had the speaker on..... very annoying.

    So disappointed. The food took forever. My chicken was cold. The sauce had congealed. We ordered mushrooms for my husband's steak - it never arrived. Two people asked us if we wanted toppings on our baked potatoes yet they seemed to clearly be understaffed. The server was outstanding. She was apologetic and explained that they were under new management and had just opened up the patio. There didn't seem to be any apparent leadership on the floor to keep things moving and to ask us how our meal was. We had reservations and yet there wasn't anyone to greet myself and another couple for a number of minutes. We love the Cattle Baron and haven't been for a year. We won't be returning until we can be assured there have been improvements.

    The noise level was Not Energetic, it was like an Atomic Explosion. We went for dinner with our granddaughter & her fiancee. It was not a fun experience. The waiter was good, the food was good but not outstanding - I had the thinnest filet mignon that I've ever seen. Very hard to do medium rare when the steak is only 1" thick. Our biggest disappointment was the noise level. We expect to be able to have a conversation when we're dining with others but it was impossible to do so without shouting. Obviously everyone else was shouting to be heard as well. Even the waiter had to shout to be heard. This dining room seriously needs some renovations to install some noise absorbing materials/ walls/ or booths. Anything to fix this problem. We won't be coming back.

    Pleasant surprise, hadn’t been to Cattlebaron for quite a while. Food was excellent, good wine-by-glass offered. Dining out is expensive no matter where you go…. Might as well go here if you’re spending anyway.

    Food was great. One person at the table had a shellfish allergy. They were very attentive to the allergy. The only issue I had is the server came to the table 4 times asking about the allergy. Fries are cooked in the same oil as shellfish. Ribs are cooked in the same oven that shellfish is cooked in. There is shellfish in the peppercorn sauce. My concern is one trip should of been enough to ask questions not multiple trips. It was a small issue that hurt the experience. I would still highly recommend, just something that could of been better managed.

    As always excellent service and food. The rack of lamb was superb and the ribeye steaks were cooked perfectly! I would highly recommend the galette for dessert!!!
