Love this restaurant. I go every time I’m seeing a show at The Royal Farms Arena! Food is delicious and the servers are friendly.
All the dishes were authentic and flavorful. Bought an out of country guest for dinner. He loved it. The price was a bit on the higher side.
This is our second visit to Cazbar. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and our server was very pleasant and attentive. It was a rainy evening and the restaurant didn't have much business until the rain stopped. Then it was almost filled. The mini dumplings were prepared very well, (tender and not doughy) and tasted good. My husband enjoyed them but I would not order them myself. There were so many and the sauce was very rich. The chicken kebob was also very tender. The salad onions were very strong, so much that they were not eaten. The naan was delicious with a "melt in your mouth" tender consistency. We had a wonderful bread dipping assortment the first time we visited there but could not remember what it was.
We will definitely return and also let out friends know about this wonderful restaurant!
All in all, what matters is the food and that was great. Even though our service might have been lacking, it didn't appear other tables were having that problem, so I wouldn't be discouraged by it.
Excellent food with a nice variety of Mediterranean flavors. Really enjoyed our meal.
The food and service were very good. This was the first time I have had the opportunity to enjoy authentic Turkish cuisine. It was an excellent experience. I look forward to the opportunity to return for another meal. Everything was wonderful.
Cold meze platter with 6 or so sampling of spreads and bread. This was a good size even for 3 to share. The doner platter had good spice and tzatiki though meat a bit dry. Lamb 3 ways was a with another diner, especially the chops and the stuffed eggplant also rated well. These entree servings were generous, and our requests to omit the rice, and double the salads was handled well. Good wine list. Service fair but friendly.
It was my 2nd time there and the food is great and the place is a fun place to eat. We didn't get to see the Belly Dancers because we left to early,I will know for next time. Definitely worth going to
This is a fabulous restaurant. Everything is very tasty. The waiter gave us great suggestions on food & drink. A delightful evening!!
The lamb chops were excellent even though they were done medium well (I preferred medium to medium rare). The sultans platter is an excellent way to get a taste of several different dishes and very generous portion. The cold mezze was an excellent way to start our meal. Highly recommend for every day or special occasion.
We love the food and the service. We enjoy the dinner for 2 with a sampling of many items on the menu.
Despite offering many reservation times, it was not open when I went by. In the past it’s been one of my must stops in Baltimore so this means I ave to back.
Outstanding Turkish food served by some delightfully charming hosts. Highly recommend it
The music, food, and atmosphere was great. I'd come back.
I love this place. Food, atmosphere, and the shows are great! 💖
Good food, wait staff was a bit familiar and dismissive.
Diverse menu. Bring a smartphone to Google unfamiliar items on the menu or check out the menu in advance. The food was authentic, prepared well and presented well in a timely fashion. Recommended for venturing out of your cuisine comfort zone.
I found the entrees to be quite overpriced considering the portion size.
It was a slow night and perhaps that's why our server seemed a little too intrusive. My biggest complaint is that our appetizer was served at exactly the same time as our entrees. It kind of defeats the purpose of "appetizer." Despite taking a considerably long time for our food to arrive, once it did, our server appeared several times while we were eating wanting to remove our plates while we were obviously not finished. I've been a server and my practice was always to check on your customers ONCE shortly after their food arrives to make sure everything is to their liking. Any more than that while they are eating, and you are being a pest! She seemed to be in a hurry to get us out of there despite the fact that the dining room was far from full.
Amazing food! Would love to go there again. Each dish has its own different flavour and is exquisite.
Great food and the entertainment was terrific!
Felt ignored for almost the entire time while waiter seemed fascinated by the first date couple at the next table. Even water glass was not refilled. Food bland and uninteresting. Credit card processed on electronic pad with 20% tip pre-selected, so you have to take an active step to select a different amount. It's the presumptuousness of this that is inappropriate. Would not recommend.
Second time coming to Cazbar...was not disappointed
Very nice dinner and good service.
Delicious authentic Turkish food and wonderful ambience. From the moment we drove up to the restaurant and spoke with the valet to the moment we left everyone was extremely friendly, genuinely nice and welcoming. The owner and most of the staff are Turkish. The food was delicious. All the suggestions that the waiter made were great. We went on a Friday night and enjoyed belly dancing which was very entertaining and actually good. Will definitely come back.
Friendly staff, delicious food, sampling platters, and convenient location.
Nice restaurant to dine out. Food is good. First time to try Turkey food. A lot on the menu would like to try, will come back
We've been to Cazbar before and always had a great experience. This particular time it was for my birthday. First, we were not given our original table because the group that was there stayed too long. This meant we were put in a section of the upstairs portion of the restaurant that didn't have a good view of the belly dancing show. This was very disappointing, as it was my birthday and that was the whole point of making our reservation at the time we did. We also had 3 fewer people in our party than we originally planned (called ahead to let them know). But the service was still pretty slow. We were all really hungry and had to wait quite a bit for food in between ordering items. We will still go back because this was definitely not the typical visit at Cazbar.
Fantastic, authentic Turkish options. Heavy on the meat but there was plenty for a vegan too! Highly recommend the esme (sp) and beet/yogurt dip. Bread was yum! Seated us right away (with a reservation, as it was packed) and the service was friendly and quick without overbearing or rushing us out the door.
Visiting from out of town. Bit of a walk from the pier where the aquarium is but the food was top notch. There were 6 of us and everyone was very happy. Our only complaint is that the drinks were too strong. Otherwise highly recommend it.
Best turkish restaurant in Baltimore, amazing food but the service is so weak
no greeting no smile
What a great place. I've never had Turkish food before and thought I'd give it a try. This restaurant is a great place for couples, friends, or for a business meeting for up to 8.
The food is delicious and impressive. I got the Mixed Grill, which has a combination of beef, lamb, and chicken. Cooking one meat well can be done, but cooking 3 different meats on the same skewer isn't easy. Usually, one will be done to perfection at the expense of another. Each piece, every single one, could be cut using the side of your fork. The salad was crisp and fresh. No soggy salad here.
The atmosphere is authentic but not oppressive. The service area is clean and well-designed. The front of the house is well-run and trained. I wasn't bugged every moment but I never felt neglected. Someone here knows what they are doing.
Great relaxed dining experience. The food was healthy AND delicious and the service was friendly, attentive, and couldn't have asked for more.
The food is always hreat, but the service here is abysmal! It was a Monday evening, with a total of three tables and two wait staff, and yet we still had to constantly call for their attention.
On the whole, my dinner at cazbar was enjoyable. The well-prepared Turkish dishes more than compensated for the slow and at times unhelpful service and bland ambience.
One of my favorite places! Never disappointed!
Excellent meal and awesome service
I have been going to Cazbar for my birthday for the past 4 years. It's a tradition by now. And I have never been disappointed. The ambiance, the environment, the food, and the service are impeccable. This past weekend, I had a group of 18 people join me for my birthday dinner. Everything came timely and the service was great. I recommend this restaurant to everyone!
Marco is an amazing server, extremely attentive and friendly!
Stopped in Baltimore on our way back to Philadelphia after the March For Your Lives in Washington DC. We specifically wanted to avoid the traffic and tourists in the Inner Harbor area and were fortunate to have found this little neighborhood gem! Enjoyed Turkish wine, hummus, chicken kabobs, and eggplant moussaka. Ambiance was cozy, service was quick yet not rushed, server was very pleasant, food was delicious and reasonably priced. Didn’t see a parking garage or lot but easily found street parking on a Saturday eve. Would recommend!
Food was delicious but tables we very tight service was fine. Chef coming out to help recommend items was very helpful.
