Love the new options on menu French Toast was amazing
First time going here. The Norwegian salmon was delicious and the ambiance was amazing.
Food: Perhaps the best french toast I've ever had, undoubtedly. Eggs over easy - more like overdone, barely any liquid york. Tea temperature, abysmal. Never had to send back a beverage, but I had to, considering the weather that day. For an establishment of such a class, it's unacceptable. Sausage: a bit overcooked and very, very chewy. Maybe change the brand?
But service was overall great. Pleasant hostess, wonderful server and bartender that was always making sure everyone was ok. Prices were also exceptionally well gauged.
Which brings me back to: I'll always come back just for the french toast 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Very nice spot for dinner in Detroit. The location is great, the service was lovely, the food was delicious, and the craft cocktails were yummy! We celebrated 2 birthday dinners here and were very pleased with the restaurant! I would 100% recommend to anyone looking to dine in Downtown Detroit.
First thing my fiancé and best friend said was that it was super loud. I have a very loud family so I guess I am used to it. It doesn’t help that the music is also loud. We went for brunch mid-afternoon on a Sunday and it was packed. The food was really good. Service was just okay but it was very busy. I recommend if you dont mind loud environments with good food. I got the chicken and waffles, very tasty!
Made reservation and got our seats immediately. Greeted upon walking in by the fantastic staff including my favorite Christy Cook! Best restaurant & bar in downtown Detroit and the prices are very reasonable. I’ll be back every week.
Great service and food, food was worth the price I would 10/10 recommend !
Food and service were both phenomenal. One of the best filets I’ve had and the fig flatbread was unique and delicious. Dining out is pretty hit or miss with server shortages right not but this was a hit.
Alex is by far the best server at Central, will be back!
It’s always a vibe at Central Kitchen. Food, service, and overall experience are top tier. One of my fav spots in the city, for sure.
Great service and food!
This place is my “Cheers”. And it never disappoints. Best staff in the city.
We were hungry af and saw the place made a reservation. 15 minutes later we were being seated.
Friendly service, good cocktail, good hearty food. A great first meal in Detroit.
The food was amazing, the employees are amazing as well!
Always a great vibe when I come here.
Everyone is friendly and has great energy from the minute you walk thru the door. Drinks and food always amazing
the place was way too loud. i saw other people get seated and immediately left because they could not talk and the sound was so loud it hurt.
Lost my voice trying to talk to the person across the table from me. Turn the music way down
Great food, drinks, and service always! Highly recommend
My good friend and I absolutely love having brunch at this location. The vibe is always perfect the food is always great and the service is always phenomenal. Definitely one of my top three brunch options for Detroit. Cannot wait to go back again.
Lovely experience, service and food
Always a good time. Excellent service. Norris is the absolute best. Good drinks. This time, not too much ice. My favorite brunch spot. I would absolutely recommend to a friend.
I reserved an outside table specifically for COVID-19 purposes, and even though my reservation showed outside, I had to sit inside which made me uncomfortable.
Food was delicious, but music speaker was too loud for small space of patio. Speaker was too close to tables.
Central Kitchen is definitely a vibe for a gathering with friends or dinner for two. The portions are a nice size and they have offerings for those who are vegetarian or vegan~ish. I had the vege tacos which was a nice portion and included a small side of nachos. Our service was ok, but our server did have a number of tables that included well over six people. Nonetheless when he was at our table he was attentive. We sat near the open patio and were still able to have a conversation even with the hustle and bustle of downtown nightlife. Their menu is quick and to the point and priced well below the other downtown offerings. I am looking forward to stopping in for brunch while the weather is still nice!
Went for brunch around 2pm with five friends. Norris our waiter was awesome. Not enough choices for brunch and they were out of some menu items. I had the Detroit burger it was good loved the fries. The place was crowded, so I would suggest a reservation. The mimosas seem to be the highlight.
Really great food and drinks but the noise level was almost unbearable for being 2pm on a Sunday, even on the patio.
I really enjoy dining here. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the mixed drinks contain too much ice (even after requesting light ice) and in a couple of instances the kitchen ran out of the omelet during Brunch.
I was sad not to get the outdoor seating I reserved but everything else was good.
Our server Rio (spelling) was amazing! She was quit attentive despite how busy her section was Saturday evening. She still delivered service with a smile! The young lady that greeted up and seated us was fabulous as well! Didn’t get her name but she had a blue floral shirt and her positive greeting at the door immediately set the tone for a wonderful girls night out!!!
The food was an excellent value (good quality, affordable price). The ambiance is a little busier and the music and overall noise level is high. The biggest downside, unfortunately, is the bathroom. There is ONE bathroom for the entire restaurant (for men and women, one unisex stall). When we were leaving, 3 people were “in line” for the bathroom. Although the food was great, I don’t think I would go back because of the awkward bathroom situation.
Our server was good. Fairly attentive. Food came out hot which is great. But the food was just okay. With such a limited menu, the food should be fantastic.
The overall atmosphere wasn’t very appealing to us.
The perfect place for a birthday brunch. I will absolutely be dining here again!
The veggie tacos and shrimp tacos were very good!
Food was good but limited menu for vegetarians. Had to ask waiter twice for my salad dressing which was on the side that the servers did not bring to us. Waiter was very nice and friendly but would have preferred if the wait staff was wearing masks. He was nice when they did not have Malbec and brought out a similar wine they he let us taste. Overall, a very enjoyable evening with a free birthday dessert that we really did appreciate!
In my opinion the food was just ok. I had the shrimp tacos. The ambiance was good. Location and service was the best parts of my experience. Would go again but probably not frequently.
Food, drinks and service was great!
