We showed up today with a confirmed reservation for Cesca, but has been closed for a while. The restaurant is no longer open. Why is it taking reservations???

Cesca is closed!! We showed up and found the doors locked and a notice of closure in the window - apparently for many months. WTF, Open Table - you booked me here?!!! Terrible.

Cesca is closed! We made a reservation through OpenTable, and met there, only to find out it was gone. I can't figure out how to get OpenTable to remove Cesca as an option. OpenTable: please take note!

The place was closed as of April 17, 2021 nut it was not reflected in the OpenTable App. We went there and had to find someplace else. Sad to see it gone. Not sure if it’s permanent.

This restaurant is closed. I don't know why reservations are still available at opentable. We went there at our booked time and discovered that the place was totally deserted. It seemed like they have been close for a long time already.

Came with a friend to Cesca and we had dinner, staff was attentive and efficient love the cozy sexy ambience!! and food was delicious. had great Cabernet and we had thee chocolate mouse and vanilla ice cream for dessert which was exceptional. Highly recommend this jewel on upper west side. Always great quality. Thanks Cesca.

We used to dine often here when we lived in the neighborhood. We moved out of state 11 years ago. We we’re meeting friends and decided to give it a try with pleasant memories. It did not disappoint!! Met the new owner who graciously thanked us for coming. Good time and good food.

My third time dinning at Cesca This time I brought my family and they were so happy I picked this place food was Delicious , the service exceptional even though our waiter seemed to be overwhelmed with many tables he still managed to check up on us to make sure we were doing fine to me that just means a lot .. Our food came out on perfect timing we enjoyed the juicy pork porter house and the lovely mushroom ravioli And the bolognese pasta . If you’re looking for quality cesca is the place to go

Very quiet room for a late lunch for 2 . Only one other table was occupied. First there was a mix up with menus - we were each given different ones. Finally straightened it out and ordered . We had the baby kale Caesar which was good and freshly brewed delish lemon ice teas. It then took 3 times to get the salmon cooked as we had ordered it. Everyone was accommodating but seemed not to understand. My companion was very disappointed as she had eaten there many times and gave it a high recommendation. I was only happy that I had not planned to return to the office as the meal took over 2 hours.

I’m so happy We didn’t go for what the reviews say about this restaurant the food is delicious the service perfect what else can U possibly ask for . We were 4 people on a quiet Tuesday night and we were on a brief business meeting , our waiter was very professional he noticed we were talking a lot and he never interrupted us ,he took our order and always kept an eye on us .. my colleagues were very happy we ordered lamb chops which by the way were cooked to perfection My other colleagues ordered the Branzino and the pasta with clams everything was perfect ..I guess we have a new spot

When I first got it into Cesca I was very thrilled by the smell I knew at once I was expecting great food. My girl and I were sat at the back room which it was packed another good signal that I did the right choice of going there... David took care of us He was very nice and with a great sense of humor... We ordered a bottle of Nebbiolo (outstanding) then we went hard on food: Caesar Lancinato salad, tortelli ai fungi to share, Becky had the Salmon and I had the bistecca...everything was delicious, well cooked, well presented and very filling.. we couldn’t be more satisfied but in our way out the manager kindly gave us some cookies for the road.. that definitely stole our hearts... you know that full belly happy heart... I highly recommend this NYC landmark .

Been going to 'Cesca for years. Almost always have a very good dining experience. Went there this past Friday night however, which happened to be Valentine's Day. We specifically inquired before hand whether the regular a la carte menu would be available and were told that it would. That was not the case however and the menu was only prix fixe at $85 per person. The manager did graciously acknowledge the restaurant's mistake and accommodated us as best they were able, although the food choices were very limited. We will return as the food is always good and the wait staff always professional and pleasant, but our recent experience was far less than ideal.

The owner was the most awful Human being. We called the night before and told on Valentine’s Day we didn’t have to have the prize fixed menu which we didn’t want as there were nicer items on the regular menu. When we got there we were told that wasn’t true they made a mistake. Then the entree item I chose from the menu they said they were out of at 7pm. When the owner came over she said I could have the steak and when I said I was generally confused and why was I told they were out. She was very nasty even though she was saying we could have what we want her manner was deplorable.

WOW! Before setting foot inside this well-loved Italian institution in the Upper West Side, know that you should save room for their desserts—imagine tiramisu or a scoop of their daily sorbet. This is an important starting point, because there are a number of other wonderful dishes vying for your attention along the way. Regional specialties include the iconic bucatini all’amatriciana, made with guanciale—the authentic way(I’d know, I’m from Rome!!). Many also come here for the incredible wine list, which includes everything from Hewitt Vineyard’s prestigious Cabernet Sauvignon to Planeta’s award-winning Cometa. Service is professional yet charming, and the elegant décor inspires dressing up for dinner. Ultimately, Cesca proves to be a dining staple in New York City. It was a pleasure to visit!

I had an amazing dinner at Cesca with my two friends. It was my first time dining there, but it will not be my last! The food was prepared to perfection, and the service was fantastic! My waitress was both, friendly and helpful and very experienced in hospitality industry! She took great care of us! The interior is beautiful, and you can actually have conversation without screaming. If you are looking for exquisite Italian food, in a beautiful setting, with an extremely professional staff, then Cesca is the place you are looking for! Thank you Cesca!!

Lovely experience our waiter Louis was very professional he went above and beyond to make sure our experience at cesca was unforgettable We started with the burrata and coliflower then I had the lamb chops and my wife had the bisteca with truffle fries. Our glasses of water always full bread was on the table the moment we ordered our food we didn’t even have to say anything our waiter he orchestrated every thing to perfection I can’t wait to go back ooooh and don’t forget to try the lovely tiramisu best in town
