Cha Cha Char is an institution in Brisbane for a reason and never fails to disappoint with impeccable service and beautiful food. The restaurant itself however is probably due for a bit of a revamp - the silver cows in the roof give is a bit of a Hogs Breath type of feeling...well what I imagine a Hogs Breath would be like anyway

Absolutely excellent! It was the second time I had been there and it was just as impressive as the first time. Excellent wine list. Outstanding staff with fantastic personalities and table manners. Food was amazing once again. You get what you pay for and I will return time and time again

Host waiter was lovely and very professional. Food was amazing, a lot of love went into it. It was a bit cool inside with the aircon and a bit too noisy for me. But overall I would defiantly go back again.

Lovely eavening out with my husband. Great location with a beautiful view. Very good service from our waiter. Didn't bother us needlessly. Food was great. Steaks cooked exactly how we ordered them. Sides are large so it's a good idea to share. Desserts were very light so a great treat after a big steak dinner. Even the brownie was light. All meals were served timely. Definitely recommended.

Not a good experience. We waited an hour after entrees for service of 4 simple dishes from the grill. No communication or apology about why we had to wait this long. When food arrived we were missing our side order of chips which is fairly important as we all had grilled steaks (which were excellent) The chips finally arrived when we had nearly finished the steaks!!! We expressed our concerns and were offered free chips. Not really acceptable with a $550 bill which arrived promptly!!!

It was my last night in Australia visiting my daughter. On line reviews were positive for Cha Cha Char and they took Open Table. We both had the T-bone which was cooked to perfection and delicious. Our server was very nice and the wine we had was terrific.

Food was awesome, could not fault it. Only thing to let the dining experience down was our waiter. Whilst he was helpful and friendly he absolutely stunk of cigarette smoke ... very off putting.

Entree wagu wrapped asparagus was delicious! Time management in the kitchen was VERY poor. We had an 8pm sitting, ordered 15 mins later, entrée came about 9pm and mains not until 9:50pm by then i was tired and not very hungry, but ate because it was nice and was paying $54 for fish. Our server was lovely. Try for a very early booking and hopefully you will get fed in a timely manner.

Do not book on line. Not only did I not tick either box to receive junk email my special request was for no junk mail. It was ignored. Hence the ratings are all 1. Failed irrespective of the dining experience.Obviously now they have my email address and have started the abuse of the same. I would have thought a restaurant where the prices are not cheap would not fail in such a simple request.

I've eaten at Cha's on many occasions but this time was different- usual good service was non existent, at a table 3, two of us sent our steaks back as they so over cooked.There was a function of about 15 and many of them had similar experiences.They need to get back on their game for a top end steak place with big prices.

We asked for a table near the window in our booking and were very happy when the waiter escorted us to one. The patron before us asked for a window, but wasn't so lucky! Pays to book early. Service was very good throughout the evening. We only had a main and it was up to Cha Cha Chars' usual high standard. Exceptional steak supported by creative and tasty sides. All in all, a very good experience. Very popular restaurant for obvious reasons, good food, good service and reasonably prices.

I have dined at Cha Cha Char before and it was much better. The food was not at the same standard as my last experience. My son had the spring rolls which were very over-cooked as were the lamb cutlets. It was very noisy and although our waiter was friendly the service was 'rough' and a bit hit and miss; no spoon provided with a soup order, cutlery for dessert placed (almost) in a pile in the middle of the table (haphazard at least). We had a fabulous evening, the food was amazing. The restaurant was quite busy, which meant that table service was a little slow. It was also quite noisy, but I suppose that cant be helped on a busy night.

The food was absolutely phenomenal, the steak was honestly one of the best I have ever had in my life. The sides were perfectly matched to the steaks and they were cooked to utter perfection. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Loved every moment of my experience here.

The oysters and cha cha bun were very good. The interior is cool, especially the fans.The steaks were very nice however the sides for the eye fillet were ordinary. The sides for the way rib however were great.Wine was also quite good.

Both entrees were delicious, my poached salmon was light and delicate in flavour and perfectly cooked. My husband had the spring rolls which were delicious. The steak was of exceptional quality and cooked perfectly, as I would expect of a restaurant of this standard. Unfortunately we didn't have any room left for dessert!

Seated quickly in this very busy, often too noisy place. We all had steaks which were perfectly cooked. Wine list was good, mock tails for the kids went down well. Would probably go again but I did find it a bit noisy, even to hear my own table.

Lovely place for a Special Dinner with close friends or family. Good waterfront views for visitors to enjoy the river. Food is very very good and the cocktails add to the fun for a good night out in Brisbane.

Fabulous! Our son is anaphylactic to various foods and he is always well catered for. One of the only restaurants in Brisbane where he can have 3 courses including dessert. Our go to restaurant for special occasions.

Its all about the steak. Some of the best in the business. Wine list up there with the best with reasonably priced cellar releases (Old Block and Rockford basket press for example) and interesting labels not often seen (Rusden for example). Excellent service. Only place where Rockpool beats these guys is the quality of the side-dishes. Always visit here when in Bris-vegas.

I decided to book dinner for myself and my wife for her birthday and Char Char Char didn't disappoint. From the moment we arrived the service was amazing. Our welcome from the front of house staff was warm, genuine and humerous and our pre dinner cocktails some of the best we've ever had. Our food was spectacular and our steaks (wagyu eye filler) were to die for. Special mention to our waiter John who provided us with exceptional service throughout.
