Chabrol Cafe Ratings and Reviews
A great lunch.
We went for my partner's birthday. This was definitely a great dinner. We are French and the service and food were perfect ! The quality of the food is amazing, tasty, well cooked and you see the kitchen from your table ! the people are nice and let you enought intimity to enjoy your moment there. Glasses of wine were a bit expensive. Desserts were tasty. I strongly recommend, it worth it 100%.
Charming spot for lunch. Food was delicious and service attentive. I plan to return for dinner.
The food was spectacular. It is amazing what the chef can do in a very small kitchen. I highly recommend it.
Excellent dinning experience. The space is intimate and casual. The food and wine is high-quality. We enjoyed every minute! Well worth it.
This is by far the best restaurant I've been to in Toronto. It's intimate and the service and food were incredible. It's great for a date as the restaurant is the perfect volume. I would recommend this place to all my foodie friends.
Food was very good, very tasty, can compare with the best restaurants in Paris. The restaurant is way too small, not too comfortable. Serve are excellent.
I was surprised by how small the restaurant was - 5 or 6 tables and bar seating. A little hard to find as tucked back from the street. Very cozy with good French food and friendly service. Would recommend and would go back.
Absolutely love this place. A gem
A great quiet little french bistro treasure in the Yorkville Area. There are only 5 tables inside, and more than double that on the patio outside. Terrific modern french food, beautifully prepared. Charming service. Great for quiet lunch, after work glass of wine & nibbles or a romantic dinner. I'll be back.
Now, this is how service should be - knowledgeable and engaged. What a delight and the food was top notch. We will be back soon!
Amazing meal. Amazing space. Won’t forget you.
A very small restaurant but everything was delicious. We love the foie gras and the lamb a lot. The Apple Tarte is a must have. Maybe the best dessert I have tried this year.
My wife and I enjoyed a beautiful lunch date on the patio! The oysters are phenomenal and are a must have! Make sure to call ahead to ensure they are available as they sell out very quickly...in terms of entrée, their Ttoro is very authentic and the best bouillabaisse in town! The Papillote of Whitefish is cooked to perfection, so juicy and flavourful. Service is great and staff very knowledgeable on all dishes and suitable wine pairings to best compliment each dish! Only thing I would change, would be cutlery and plates...the cutlery is too big and cumbersome and plates are very basic, would love to see some French vintage styled plates in the future 😉
What Can I say other then it is simply put the best meal I’ve had in Toronto
Bar seating is fun in an intimate setting with cool staff and the food.....
Started with perfect oysters
A cheese plate
Some seafood bowl with fresh bread and the lamb.
Apple tart for dessert was the perfect end
It ain’t cheap and the wines go from reasonable to sublime but I walked out with 0 regrets
Feels like you are in the south of France - tiny , quiet but atmospheric bistro .... great food and service .
Very nice location and friendly service with delicious food choices
Excellent , everything is excellent
It is a little hard to see or find at first, It’s at the back end of a small alley-like space. But it keeps the eating experience intimate. They have outdoor seating that still feels of the street and a very select amount of indoor seating that gives it a reserved and quiet feel. The food was sensational and the service staff knew very well what they offered. I can’t talk about the food without praising too much so you’ll have to go and try for yourself to see.
Good service. Informed wine advice. Excellent food. Great ambience.
The food was quite good, the only problem with our meal was that the oysters we ordered had gone bad and we were unable to eat them, which was rather disappointing.
Quaint, simple and perfectly French. Will certainly come back here many times.
Had a memorable meal on a memorable evening celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary. The pace of the meal and the flavors of the food worked so well together we had no choice but to wait out a superb apple tart for dessert.
Outstanding as always!
Despite the chilly temperature we elected to sit outside under the patio heaters. The waiter was perfectly sarcastic with a genuinely witty sense of humour. We had the braised lamb and the whitefish which were both fantastic. A great bottle of wine followed by the apple tart made the entire meal an amazing experience. Highly recommended for a fun night out
The best make-to-order Apple Tarte with Calvados Sabayon I've ever had.
An excellent experience with delicious food and wine. I will be back.
Amazingly fresh and delicious dishes... oysters, lamb, whitefish are all fantastic. Service is relaxed but excellent.
Cute little bistro in Yorkville. Space is VERY limited.
Excellent and just perfect in every way.
Starting with the smoked trout appetizer through the fish en papiotte and braised lamb to the cheese finale the meal was superlative. So too the friendly professional service.
It was a great meal starting with the wild cultivated oysters to locally sourced mushrooms from Ontario. I had no meat and I am not a vegetarian (although I have nothing against vegetables) but I did not miss meat at all. The staff were very helpful, friendly, and provided great service without being obtrusive. The wine list has many interesting wines from different parts of the world. I would (and will) go back to Charbrol. Perfect place for a French lunch in Toronto.
My friend and I sat down for lunch. The cool carrot soup was fantastic. Oysters were on point and the whitefish en papillote was outstanding.
Great restaurant where the Chefs work magic in limited facilities
Food is on the salty side. If you ask for reduced or no salt, they will comply.
Great ambience! Fantastic service and Apple tart was my fab!..
Chabrol was fantastic! Service was amazing, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was awesome. I can't recommend it enough.
Overall, it was ok...great service and nice wine, Good terrine, but mediocre crostini to accompany it. Nice braised lamb, but maybe for a fall dish. My friend liked the lentil appetizer but the vegan main with mushrooms and peas reportedly had WAY too many onions for one person in one dish.
Toronto's best French food in the heart of Yorkville... how can you wrong?
Second time eating at Chabrol. Both times were magical - the food was excellent and we were SO well taken care of.
