We allow a dining time of two hours for a group of two diners and two and a half hours for larger groups during evening hours. If you desire a longer dining time, please call us to arrange.
Reservations may be made for the dining room or oyster bar. Both menus are available in either setting.
Amazing food. Great customer service by Soleil. Good music. Loved it.
Everything was done to perfection. This is my favourite spot in Yorkville .....we were able to have a brilliant food experience, enjoy superb service and engage in conversation with friends.
very attractive small intimate bistro with superb staff. The sommelier and waiter were excellent, knowledgeable, and friendly. Oysters excellent. Pork terrine good. Unfortunately the duck was a little tough, the cod bland. Apple tart good. Wine great. I think spending many years in our house in the south of France has made us a little demanding.
Great people, great place
I wish them great success
Great intimate dining, limited menu but excellent food.
book the oyster bar
Loved the food and ambience!
We made a reservation but still had to wait for half an hour to get our table. The food was good but not exceptional- so I’d say it’s rather pricey for the quality of food.
Lovely service. Food was unique and great!
As usual the food and service were great. We were quite early for lunch so we were in and out in the short time we had with no compromising. Quiche was great as was the Kohirabi salad and the paper fish.
Food is really great, this is my second time going and will definitely return!
A jewel of a Neighbourhood restaurant. Not pretentious. Rather very authentic. Just what it says it is m
One of the best restaurants in the city!
Delicious food and beautiful restaurant. A perfect place to celebrate a special occasion!
Warm wine and cold cheese - not a good start for a French restaurant. The terrine was served as a cold brick, but the flavour improved as it found room temperature. The vegetarian option was the same price as the meat courses, but I didn't think vegetables were that expensive. The service was very good. The wine list is interesting and oriented to south and southwest France.
Service was incredible. Food was outstanding.
Wonderful as ever. A bit on the expensive side but worth it for the peace and quiet.
A little gem tucked away in Yorkville offering nice ambience, delicious food and great service. We had a wonderful relaxing evening and would definitely recommend.
Limited menu was further limited by options not available despite an early reservation. Some items met expectations; however, " Ttoro" main dish was a disappointment. Boulud nearby is a better option.
Food and service was amazing. Top notch at every turn. New space lacks personality and takes away from the character Chabrol established in its original small intimate but super cool space
It is an excellent restaurant and the food is amazing! Great service and staff superb. Highly recommended!
the food was very good, atmosphere was very nice and overall a very good date night restaurant. my only complaints were that we sat in the back room and the tables are very small and very close to each other - we could hear the conversation from both tables beside us. the second one is that although the background music was jazz and was fine I would have preferred for them to play some French music which would have added more to the ambiance. the food is excellent and very French...
Had a great lunch in a calm place. One of the few good spots in yorkville
Great atmosphere, and delectable food. Oysters were amazing, pork chop was succulent, very nice wine and an all-around wonderful time celebrating our anniversaries! Service was also amazing - very attentive and knowledgeable staff. Would dine there again in a heartbeat!
Excellent menu, delicious food, perfect French 75, great service. Nice for lunch and dinner! Tucked away ‘just enough’ in yorkville.
Excellent food that cannot be found elsewhere.
Very convenient location.
Very quiet and pleasant
Service was remarkably good considering we were late due to cab problems. They were not phased by our lateness and, even though they had indicated that there was another sitting after us, that problem never appeared. The food was superb. The service was slow-paced, and we spent 2 and a half hours there without feeling rushed. The ambiance was terrific, and it was great because the noise level was low, in spite of marble tiled floor. A wonderful relaxinig evening with great food. Would definitely recommend.
Fabulous experience! Delicious food and extremely attentive service. Highly recommend.
Very fine evening! Thank you all at Chabrol for your hospitality!
If you're looking for unassuming French food, sophisticated in its simplicity - you've found it at Chabrol. Walking in you get a whiff of what can only be the sea-side concocting in the back. Sitting down and looking at the menu, it makes sense that whitefish, tuna, bouillabaisse adorn the entrees.
This was a great way for us to spend a quiet Sunday lunch celebrating 7 years of marriage. I wish I had remembered the white wine label I ordered because that Pinot Gris was equally as memorable as my meal.
Disappointed after a few special experiences here. Quality has greatly diminished since the place expanded into the adjacent shop. Nice space, but the value is no longer there as the food is no longer anywhere near as exceptional as it used to be, and as the prices would suggest.
We sat in the bar. The bar person Maggie was phenomenal...a great asset. Friendly, knowledgable, made great suggestions. The bar area is cozy and comfortable. I wish I could say the same about the ambiance in the restaurant. The marble floor makes the area look really cold and sterile...we didn't want to go in there...too formal and straight looking. The bar and the outside ambiance are divine....not so for the new restaurant space. I'm a decorator and know it could be rectified quite easily.
This restaurant is a gem - especially delightful now that they have a dining room off there smaller bar and patio. Food is superb - among the best in the entire city. Ambience and service perfect. Highly recommend for those who appreciate excellent food and wine.
Perfect for a date - its nice and quiet with few tables, so you can hear what the other person is saying! Food is delicious - but you MUST try the apple tarte, its so good and melts in your mouth. Order it with your mains as it takes a long time to prepare. Would definitely return for a special occasion.
Flawless execution of a quiet evening meal for two . The cauliflower soup was perfectly portioned, presented and delicious. The Atlantic cod was wonderful paired with seasonal vegetables and the braised short rib was beyond delicious with its foundation of seasoned sweet potato. The wine list is french and a lovely Pinot complemented our meal.
This is the second I was here in 3 years & I was not disappointed. I had the Foie Gras & Cornish Hen & both were outstanding! Great wine list, cozy atmosphere, not too noisy. Highly recommend!!
Great food. Good service.
For all the rave reviews, it was just sort of boring. Well done boring dishes. There were 4 of us, so we tried 3 1st, 4 mains and 1side. The fois gras was my favorite and somewhat interesting. They achieved a beautiful texture and the dish was balanced. I had the fish stew... and I have had many better with more flavor. My husband's cornish hen had very nice sides, but the hen was ho-hum. So I guess that is the crux - nothing to complain about but nothing to rave about.
We really enjoyed the ambiance of Chabrol and the food was very good (with the exception mentioned below). Our server was a bit condescending and unhelpful at first but improved as the evening wore on. The heirloom tomatoes and frisée were delicious, but the flavour pairing of the foie gras wasn’t as much to our liking. The entrees were very good, as was the apple tarte, however it was completely unnecessary to drown the tarte in the calvados sauce and, frankly, the sauce then overpowered what was a fantastic tarte. Next time we will insist on pouring the calvados sauce on ourselves and will probably use less than half the amount with which the server drenched each of our tartes. We look forward to our next dinner at Chabrol!
Food & service great. Experience great.
Just ambience (maybe because of colors and furniture) feels a bit cold (for me, subjective).
Worth every penny.
Thanks for having us!
