As a regular, who brought 8 people from out of town in for dinner, I was quite embarrassed for the very first time at Chandler's. The service was ridiculously slow and it was not busy. I could completely understand if our server was slammed with tables but she simply kept disappearing. A piece of the broasted chicken that came out was still raw, granted it was a very large piece of chicken but the chef should have taken that into account. The kids meals were ice cold and to top it off at the end after we had all paid our checks, the server chased my sister-in-law to claim the bill was $80 short. We searched the restaurant at the table, she searched her purse and she did not have the money, she knew it had been in the check because she actually had gone in to add an additional dollar for the server!!! Out of humiliation and frustration she asked her husband for the money and pay the $80 again.
I asked for a manager and told there was not one in. I love Chandler's, have been coming here for years and even had my daughter's shower there so this was very surprising. Hope it was a fluke but very embarrassing to bring people there for this experience.
Excellent meal, reasonable prices. Will be a regular on our list.
First time in this restaurant. Casual environment, lots of locals. The food is reasonably price. Steak was good and would probably go back. Our waitress Sasha although nice was not around a lot- waited 15 mins for drinks. also waited to get our food ordered. Otherwise- great value for a steak house!
Their food is great, service is great and love the atmosphere!
It was for Valentine’s Day! Very nice!
Excellent steak both of ours were cooked perfectly. Baked potato was Ok , could have been cooked more& fluffier
Service was great. Waitress was alone with 5-6 tables. No hostess or bus boy
I typically love Chandler's, but the service this time was absolutely HORRIBLE. Our waitress came to our table about 4 times throughout our 2 hours there - didn't bring the right side dish for me, forgot to bring my husband a refill on his drink twice, lost our credit card then realized she gave it to a different diner, charged us for the wrong table's bill, didn't apologize for the poor service, and sat with her friends at the table RIGHT NEXT TO US several times throughout our meal. We were very disappointed to say the least.
As always, the food was good, the service was good and we could relax & enjoy our meal.
The food was reasonably priced with generous portions. We had chicken parmigiana and pasta, a chicken parmigiana salad and a filet dinner. Everyone was happy with their food with plenty leftover to take home. We went on a Saturday at 5:30 and good thing we went early, very few tables left by 6:15pm. A local gem!
Great food, service, and environment. The steaks can't be beat.
Had a waitress that was asked to bring butter because it fell off of the bread board. It arrived 15 minutes later after the bread was cold. Asked for extra sauce for the ribs, when the ribs arrived. It came 15 minutes later. I asked for a medium rare steak. It came and it was med/well. Did not send it back for fear everyone else would be done when it came back.
My husband and I enjoy going to Chandlers. We always have a delicious meal.
A very good meal and service. Our waitress Pam was great.
We've dined at Chandler's several times now, since our friend Judy introduced us to the place three years ago. We used to go to the Milrose Pub, in Hoffman Estates, but the Milrose is now closed (sad). Now, Chandler's fits our requirements just fine! Wonderful quiet atmosphere, great service, and tasty food.
We sat at the bar. The food is always amazingingly delicious! I had the steak n bake. The steak is always done to perfection. Love the salt on the outside of the baked potato. The bartender Vicki made great cosmo’s. She would be a great fit on a regular basis! The service was wonderful.
The Pot Roast and Steak were both amazing-!!! And our server Jen was not only gorgeous, but simply divine, on point and completely dope A/F-!!!
Sunday Broasted Chicken special still satisfies! This place is always consistent on this meal!
Kudos to our server. The poor woman had at least 15 tables and ran from one to another all evening but somehow managed to smile!
This was a family celebration of our Mom, Mother-in-law and grandmother after a memorial service at Friendship Village. She and Fad used to go often to eat at Chandlers.
Our experience did not disappoint. We had a nice round table that made it fun to communicate with everyone. Service and food were terrific.
The food was delicious but the staff was overworked. We waited 45 minutes for our table and then a long time for our food. The hostess started bringing us water and bread because the server was too busy. I don't plan to go there again on a Saturday night.
Great service great food
Great service. Waitress brought a small pitcher of soda for the table. Made refills a breeze.
Food was ok. Half rack of ribs only had 4 bones. Must have been a small pig.
Filet medallions each had a piece of grizzle running through them. The filet was cooked perfect, and was very tender.
Nice starter salad and the bread was hot from the oven.
Last minute decision to go to Chandler's. We haven't been there in over 4 years. We will return. Meal was tasty and within reason. We are locals.
Can't beat the $4 wine and $5 on a Wednesday night. Service was great and the bar and restaurant are always busy and lively. A bargain of a meal to catch up with friends.
Excellent food, excellent service! It’s a local favorite dinner spot!
We had a great meal, our server was great and very busy. There was a large party next to us and it was very loud, we were looking for a nice casual evening. This is nothing anyone could control and I’m usually the one in the big loud party, but we just came from a work convention and wanted to eat and relax.
Many thanks for a great dinner and positive service! We'll be back!
Always a great date night at Chandlers with delicious food and beverage
You can always get a great meal at Chandler's Fish Frys are great.
The food was good, but the service was a bit slow. We weren't in any hurry so it was OK. The pot roast sandwich and tater tots was very good.
Food was good and our waitress Karen was wonderful
Slow seating. Food was slow to come out. Food was the quality you’d expect at a cheap banquet hall. Steak was overcooked, soggy vegetables. Salad dressing was even gross. Won’t be back.
Excellent meal. You always know the food will be good.
It was ok. Nothing special but no problems. Probably great for golfers.
Food was very good, filet mignon sliders prepared medium rare as ordered. Others had rib eye steaks and pork chops that were very good, meat prepared as ordered. Waitress friendly and efficient. Casual dining overlooking the golf course. Highly recommend.
This is one of our favorite casual restaurants. The restaurant overlooks a golf course giving it a very relaxed atmosphere. The servers are always friendly and prompt and the server we had this visit was just that. We've had various dishes the times we have dined here but my favorite is Shrimp De Jonghe, while my wife prefers Rib Eye so that is what we had this visit
You can't go wrong at Chandler's, especially with their Wednesday night specials: House wines $4 each and $5 burgers! Plus, you can view the golf course and surrounding areas while you dine. The food and wine, along with the atmosphere and friends, make this a great place to meet up for a drink, bite to eat, and maybe even a round of golf.
I had the steak n bake Tuesday special. The steak is always cooked to perfection and tender. The special comes with a baked potatoe, soup or salad. It is filling and delicious. The martini's are spectacular! The bar tender Rich is one of the nicest guys, service is 5*. We love coming to this place.
