   My husband and I tried the red, white, and blue burger last week. It was delicious!! Our server was Mitchell, who welcomed us back with a smile. Great service as always. This burger should be a mainstay on the menu. So darn good!!

   Char has a nice menu filled with steak and seafood choices. We went seafood this time (scallops and reddish) and we were not disappointed. Service is efficient and friendly. The wine list is over-priced, with only a handful of worthwhile choices.

   We go to Char quite often. Great atmosphere and service, and great food in the past. However, the last 2 times I went for dinner the salmon was overcooked (although I ordered it Medium) and had to be sent back both times. Hopefully they can work on this.

   We love Char. We were with family from out of town on Sunday. The staff added space to a table to accommodate our grand baby in a stroller. And we were not in an area that might disturb others. The service was obviously great. We had some of our favorites - the crab claws (our very fav), fried green tomatoes and pork skins. Everyone had a seafood entree that was delish and we had a cinnamon roll gelato. We are big fans of Char and love to bring new folks to enjoy it.

   First time dining here..made reservations for our Anniversary.. presented with a signed card that said Happy Anniversary placed at our table which was nice.. The ambiance was so so.. I was a bit let down. Noise level was moderate .. could hear some music faintly in the background. Ordered a wedge salad which was nice but lacked the flavorful blue cheese dressing I’ve had at other restaurants.. it did look pretty though.. husband had the house salad which was very colorful, quite a few different veggies and the dressing was a tasty balsamic vinaigrette. Filet mignon was quite good.. I ordered the mushrooms which I’d leave off next time..didn’t have much flavor. Husband ordered the ribeye and was disappointed..lots of fat and gristle.. For dessert we had the homemade pecan pie with ice cream.. it was the star of the meal.. very delicious.. I’d highly recommend it..

    My husband and I had the Red, White, and Blue Hamburger. It has carmelized onions, cheddar cheese, blue cheese crumbles, and spinach. Best burger EVER!! All for $17 with french fries. Our server Mitchell was great as always. Kudos Char!! Great food and service!! Highly recommend.

    Everything on the menu is delicious. Excellent bartender, makes the best Amereto Sour. Perfect weather for dining outside on the patio in mid-May. The noise from Hillsboro Pike traffic was not nearly annoying as I expected. Excellent service. Everything about this restaurant is First Class!!

    Excellent food all around. Best onion rings ever. Filet was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Cho late “brownie” to die for. From Chicago and second time eating there-would recommend to any out-of-towner and local Nashville resident.

    My party was celebrating my son’s graduation and Mother’s Day combined. We ended up with 7 people and the manager, Joanne, was happy to accommodate everyone. Great service from the entire staff as well!

    Celebrated our 51st wedding anniversary at Char. Wine was poured before we finished our cocktails; salads came while we we still eating out appetizers, entrees came while still eating our appetizers. Not quite the experience we expected. Dessert (blueberry bread pudding) inedible- dense as a brick! Bread was not offered, as we observed with other tables, we had to ask for it.

    Our dinner at Char was delicious. Sarah, our server, did a top notch job taking care of us. My only complaint is that when you eat dinner in the dining room, the restaurant will not serve you a shrimp cocktail. It’s available on the bar menu but only served at the bar. This makes totally NO sense to me. All of the top tier steak houses I’ve ever eaten in all have a shrimp cocktail on their main menu. I spoke with the manager on duty about ordering one and she said basically “too bad.” She was not very friendly in the least. Management should change this policy ASAP. Our server said I was certainly not the first guest who had wanted to order the shrimp cocktail. VERY disappointed in this aspect of our experience.

    Food was good, a lot of "extra" built into the dish that kind of overpowered the fish. Where we were seated was a bit awkward and we felt in the middle of the server traffic. Service was excellent. Overall very good.

    Char set the scene for the perfect meet-up with old friends. We were seated immediately upon our arrival in the main dining room. The menu was varied, and my steak was cooked to perfection. George, our waiter, was attentive and competent. A bonus....the piano player in the bar played incredibly well. Char will quickly become a favorite when entertaining our out-of-town guests.

    Service was really good, it was somewhat busy for a Tuesday night, however we were sat upon arrival for our 6:30 reservation. I ordered the fried crab claws and they were delicious. I also ordered the red fish sandwich and it wasn’t good in my opinion but it was promptly changed out for something else (chicken tender sandwich) which was fresh and good. Overall wasn’t a bad experience and would return if for nothing else the crab claws lol

    Ordered the Lamp chops for dinner and they were completely over cooked my son had his food and I was awaiting my food being recooked. A shame when we are here all the time that nothing was comped but the “overcooked” lamb
