   The food and the service were outstanding. The restaurant was busy, therefore noisy, and the evening sun was shining right on us (but they quickly closed the shades) Would highly recommend.

   The service was very slow. I had to stand up and find the waiter multiple times. He was kind when he was available. The steak was cooked to the wrong temperature. However, it was taken off of my bill by the manager. The potato that came with the steak was cold and bland. Other food I ordered was very average. I did enjoy the piano playing. I wish I would’ve skipped this restaurant and will not be returning.

   We came here to celebrate some family birthdays; it was our first visit. We really enjoyed the service and the food (from appetizers to desserts) Will be back!

   It was for a birthday/anniversary dinner! A little sad that they ran out of bone in rib-eye but regular ribeye was done perfectly and waiter Zach was awesome and very attentive! Very nice 2nd visit! Will come back again! Thank you!

   First time visit. I would have returned based upon the food quality, but likely will not because of the lack of service from the front desk to the waiter. Despite having a reservation, The hostess was about to seat a group that came in behind us but another hostess spoke up and said we should be seated first. Upon taking us to a table we asked if we could be sat at one of the 3 open booths and she stated that we would need to request them at our reservation and never checked with the desk to see if our request could be honored. Interesting that another group was sat at one of the open booths after we had received our food. During conversation with the people in the booth it was discovered that they had NOT requested a booth in the reservation or at the desk. Humm. To make matters worse the same hostess attempted to sit an older couple at the booth immediately behind us but they asked if they could be reseated. She immediately went to the hostess stand to ask for another assignment for them yet NEVER went to verify when we asked. Absolutely unacceptable. Despite mediocre server service still left a 25% tip, but won’t be back.

    My mother and I did some casual shopping and decided instead of making dinner, we would have a meal out. She loves the seafood pasta and I’m a big fan of the fillet.

    Excellent food and inviting atmosphere. Music is a bit loud, would prefer having it a bit quieter that would lend itself more for a relaxing evening and conversation with friends.

    Great varied menu and every item is always excellent. We had reserved for patio, which then closed due to rain, but staff was able to get us an indoor table - not guaranteed to happen but they made it work! Even though the dining room stayed full there was little noise and tables were positioned so no conversations were overheard.

    Everything was good. Just not great. The booth had a big rip in it. That killed the ambiance a little. The brussel sprouts were ok, but not great compared to the others we've had. My wife had the Seabass and it was good. I had the duck breast and it was just ok.

    Had a client in town I was staying in the Greenhills area and we picked char because it was convenient and they had a time available. Wine list is very good and reasonable and they are fantastic cocktails. The food was also good I would visit again

    We literally just wanted to try a new place and booked a reservation via OpenDoor same day. We were about 10-13 minutes early and waited less than 5 upon arrival to be seated. The place is very clean and the staff seems to work together so effortlessly like a well oiled machine! Our server was Zachary and he was WONDERFUL! He has such a kind energy and smile! He was very knowledgeable of the menu and helpful with recommendations for cocktails and food. He kept our water glasses full, our table clean & clear, and was very patient and cooperative as this was our first visit to Char! WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK! The food is excellent and very decently priced. They also had a live band that was finishing up as we arrived! We will definitely be back to try their brunch and mimosas! Thanks so much for a wonderful experience Zachary!

    My meal ordered from the brunch menu was cold. Poached eggs should be warm. This was my second visit to this particular store and the first was equally disappointing. There are many choices in Nashville and this restaurant will not be on the list.

    Overall very good but when you pay $100 for a bottle of wine, the waiter should pour refills.

    This is a lovely addition to the Nashville market. A traditional restaurant with a modern edge. They don't disguise good food with fancy sauces. The music is great as well.

    Dining at Char was a lovely experience Superb service and Menu choices were excellent. In fact so many delicious sounding choices, it was hard to choose. The best crab cakes ever and presented in a way Ive never seen. Compliments to the chef! Lookingvforward to dining there again. We recommend it highly!

    When a steak has to go back to the kitchen twice that’s an issue. The one female manager thought it was best to lecture my wife how to order it the next time— 1) specify no pink when asking for it well done, and 2) ask them to butterfly it. Kitchen decided to instead turn her steak into steak bites.

    We had a very enjoyable dinner in the bar area with the piano player and an amazing bar staff. The food and restaurant ambiance are always superb. This is a consistently solid dining experience with a good choice selection and I highly recommend Char
