Crab cakes not up to par!!!! This is Maryland!!!! Really?
The food was extremely Bland, which I'm not use to from this particular establishment. And also, I don't know if they got new bartenders, but for whatever reason they do not know how to make the fiery cucumber anymore. This was my second brunch which I have to ask for the cayenne pepper which is distinctively detailed on the cocktail menu!
Brunch was very nice with gorgeous views, good selection of brunch main dishes for $27. That $27 includes the salad bar, which has its normal amazing selection, with the addition of fresh baked goods like scones and danish and croissants as well as bagels and smoked salmon with all the fixings. Also with brunch are $.99 mimosas or champagne and I think the crafted cocktails like Bloody Marys were $2.50? You can also just have the salad bar as your entree or anything off the main menu at normal menu prices if brunch doesn’t sound good. The crab cake Benedict and the tenderloin Benedict were ordered at our table to great reviews and they both raved about how delicious the home fries were. Both left their fruit salad so I think it maybe wasn’t as tasty as the fruit on the salad bar?
Of course we will be back, Chart House is always a nice time
This was my first time here, and I was having brunch with my family. Really enjoyable atmosphere and the attention to detail was impeccable! Great and personable staff! Will definitely be back!
The food was ok. The service not great. I expected more
I am a repeat customer of the Chart House and I love it. Unfortunately, my last visit was not as good as it usually is. I ordered the prime rib and it wasn’t cooked the way I asked. I switched meals with my boyfriend. That was a disappointment as well because he ordered swordfish and unfortunately the fish was dry and overcooked. The food also lacked flavor and that was disappointing as well. I have been to the chart house numerous times and I will return again but I definitely wanted to provide a review on my dissatisfaction of my most recent visit .
Food was good but pricey. Dinner for 2 was $140. The entrees were rather high prices for the portion. The Mahi Mahi was small and with salsa topping $40.
We enjoyed the wine list. The service went back and forth from being too attentive to leaving us along for too long. But, that's mainly because we were there for a business meal and that involves long discussions on key topics at times.
The only real negative is that they were out of oysters and some in our party really wanted oysters.
Our party of 5 was very impressed by the appetizers and dessert. Large selection of appetizers. Ice cream cake for birthday was very nice. Both delicious. The wine list was extensive and fairly priced. The entrees were beautifully presented and generally flavorful, but snapper this night tended to be on the dry side - maybe cooked a bit too long for our taste. Our real disappointments were the cocktails, specifically the "mules". We had two different kinds and, frankly neither was very good. Properly served in a copper mug was very nice, but unfortunately the drink itself lacked the quality that we expect from the Chart House. Our server brought some additional ingredients that made some improvements but not enough improvement to raise the level to 5 stars.
Did not have our 1st choice. Have visited this Chart house each time I’ve been to Annapolis and never had a bad meal or a great evening
My sister and brother-in-law stopped in Annapolis on their move from New England to Florida. So we picked Chart House for our last night together meal. Our party chose to start with the salad bar, but then we picked 4 different entrees -- 2 beef and 2 seafood. The food was excellent and the service was the perfect combination of impeccable and friendly. We finished with a shared apple/cherry cobbler and coffer, the perfect ending to a perfect meal.
We usually love this restaurant so was disappointed at the quality of the food this time. Definitely not what it used to be. Hope it was just a one time thing.
First time at this restaurant and we were disappointed. Food was very salty, service was slow, the double berry mule doesn’t taste like berries, there had very large spiders all over the outdoor walkway (counted over 15, several black widows), and will only pay for your dessert on a special occasion if you get the mud pie. I’m sorry our creme brûlée was $2 more than the mud pie. Also believe we had a bad food reaction from the crab dip and the too much salt. Not a great way to spend your anniversary. We won’t be back. They also messed up our Open Table reservation and didn’t give us credit for dining because we sat at their lounge tables. It was a regular table without a white table cloth. Only benefit of the whole dinner besides the Carmel creme brûlée was that Bank of America had 10% cash back. At least we got something back.
We had a great dinner experience for my fiance's birthday. Our server, Michael, was absolutely wonderful. We have a tradition now for fiance's birthday, this was year #3 and we are looking forward to year #4. Thank you
Would have given 5 stars but my entree was lukewarm.
We went there for a Sunday Brunch. For $27 it was a great deal. Every item is the same price and you get a salad bar with it (you can also get other a la carte items and appetizers as well). The salad bar was stocked with items such as smoked salmon, very good Caesar salad, muffins and scones, even black caveat, and many more. The view by the water was spectacular, as is the inside of the restaurant, which they remodeled recently. The portions were huge, we could only finished half of ours. The service was great, from the host to our waiter, they were super nice and accommodating.
Each time I've dined at Chart house, the experience has been excellent. The food and service was fantastic!
We love going to the Chart House for special occasions, though the happy hour at the bar is a terrific value.
Dinner was very good, excellent wine selection, and despite it being a busy boat show evening, service was wonderful.
Had a reservation, so seating was prompt. Food was great. The water view is awesome.
Great dinner after attending the Boat Show
My Bestie surprised me with a Birthday dinner at the Chart House on Oct 3rd. The entrees were awesome and the overall experience was fabulous. Will dine there again!
Your Servers need to ask if we are points members..... We forget every time until we get home, or after we have thrown away our receipt. :( We lose a lot of points because of this.
I ordered the stuffed flounder and the stuffing was unacceptable. The flounder was fine but not the filling.
I was totally surprised as I have never had a questionable meal in your restaurant.
My only problem with the restaurant was the amount of time it took to get our entre after our appetizers. We waited almost an hour which was excessive. However the food was excellent and our waiter was also very good. Not his fault that the kitchen was backed up.
The receptionist was very rude and obnoxious. We requested good view when reserving - which even though they had a lot available - took us to a booth. When mentioned she seemed disturbed and was quite blatantly rude. The server Christian was very good! The food was well worth it!
The steak and mushroom with the mashed potato was just very good and the mahi and rock fish was quite flavorful.
I go here all the time, and I really love this place. This day was not such a great experience. Brought someone new along with me, we waited forever for the server to come over to the table. Then I ordered a fiery cucumber, which is my favorite drink there. I also requested that I would get a full rim because they usually only do half. The drink came back okay, but missing the cayenne pepper. That's what makes it a fiery cucumber. When I ordered a second one, and made mention to the fact that it was missing the Cayenne, the rim came back basically Cayenne alone! The food was okay, but when it arrived, I had realized, the waiter never asked me how I wanted my steak done! So it came back in a way that I would not have ordered. I will return, because it's usually not like this, but I needed to make mention so that hopefully they'll get their act back together.
Food was great and service was awesome. They had a kids menu with an activity sheet for the kids which is not shown on their site but definitely an added plus!
Food was absolutely underwhelming. I’d been there years ago and was never wowed, but still thought it was ok. This time, my $40 rockfish was dry and tasteless, no doubt previously frozen. The accompanying coconut rice was just sad. The crab brought a measure or taste to the dish, but was not anywhere close to saving it. The place is pretty but noisy, and it’s a mystery to me why it was so crowded.
We had a great time. The food was great. The only hiccup was that our credit card was changed twice and we had to go through unpleasant experience with the credit card company to get reimbursed.
Overall disappointed. We were there for brunch. Bloody Mary was not impressive. Omelet was good but sweet juice from fruit salad on plate seeped under all of our entrees making savory omelet and English muffins soggy. Recommend fruit be served in a small bowl on plate. Refills of drinks was very slow.
It was a great environment with friends. Great view of the harbor and excellent service!
This was our third brunch this month, and they all have been great. This time, although they had a large high school reunion, the service was great and the drinks arrived on time. A prior visit the bartender had trouble keeping up. I talked with the manager and he said he would make sure we were pleased with the service, and we were. I always enjoy the activity in the Annapolis harbor.
It is VERY popular and crowded being on the water. All the food was good not outstanding just good. The clam chowder was a bit cool but still tasty. Our waiter was outstanding and really did a nice job of making sure we were taken care of without rushing. Yes I would return!!
I've visited this location several times but this time I was not impressed. Our waiter seemed a big overwhelmed and left us waiting for a while. When it was time to leave we asked for to-go bags and received plastic bags; which was very unusual.
I liked this place. The food was worth the value, excellent customer service.
Pretty pricey ($175 for 2 of us) but I’d do it again.
One of our favorites. Always consistently good. The spinach salad is fantastic
I've always had a great experience at the Chart House, however this time our waitress kept constantly coming back to the table and interrupting us so we could not relax and enjoy the evening. It felt like was like she was rushing us constantly to turn over the table. I've never had this experience in the past.
For the price we paid, service, although friendly, was not as professional as I would have expected.
