Chart House Restaurant - Annapolis
Setting is beautiful, and food good but overpriced. Service was slow.
Not our first time at the Chart House...and certainly won't be our last! Always excellent food, excellent wait staff and we love the vibrant ambiance. See you next time!
The location, the view and the food make this a popular place. On a Saturday evening, even at 6 PM, it was really crowded and as a result, it was really too noisy. I know that noise level is a complaint by most restaurant-goers but somehow, owners seem to dismiss this. Our waiter seemed stressed, perhaps by the volume, but we did go for quite a while looking for him to get the check. The food is great, so I would go back but maybe on a weekday.
The dining experience was outstanding. The food and service was the best we have had in a long time. We were celebrating my birthday and the Chart House went out of their way to make it extra special
Vegetables included in price of some not all entrees....Not really sure how that determination is made, turned us off. For the price of meals, could include a veggie.
Ryan was our server and he was wonderful! My wife enjoyed the personalized menu and felt special on her special day. Thank you Chart House for a memorable evening! We hope to return soon!
Just not worth the money spent. I’ve had the same food for less money and better quality.
Great food, and service. Great place to go for celebrations.
We used to really love this place, but the quality has gone down. Food was meh. Service was slow. We asked for a dessert menu, but our server didn’t come back to take our dessert order until 20 minutes later. Disappointing.
Food and service was very good but I was extremely disappointed that my wine flight came to tho table with floating cork in 2 out of 3 glasses and the red wine glasses looked like that were hit by paintballs! The waitress did not mind and offered to get me a spoon to take the cork out of my wine! Huh? She also asked if my husband wanted an new glass when was changing his wine selection. Again huh? Very disappointed
Love this restaurant, great job.
Soup was cold. Otherwise everything was great including the server
My boyfriend and I came here for a date night. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff was friendly and efficient. While it was restaurant week in Annapolis, we chose to order from the menu and not the 3 course meal provided for restaurant week. We ordered the coconut crunchy shrimp for an appetizer and it was delicious- so much so that I may get that as my meal if we return. I ordered the 7 oz filet mignon with mashed potatoes and my boyfriend order the king crab legs with a baked potato. As delicious as his meal was, that’s how bad mine was. The steak was just not good. It was dry and tasted burnt. Not what I expected when paying $36 for a steak. The waiter was very apologetic and spoke with a manger and they did take it off the bill. Maybe they were overwhelmed since it was restaurant week because they were also out of a lot of items- including Yuengling. We ordered the chocolate lava cake for dessert and that was delicious as well! I will come back here to give it one more chance because I’ve heard so many great things about it- but I won’t come during restaurant week again.
The new redesigned Chart House beautiful. It's still the Chart House, food can be pretty good, but expensive. You really go for the view. We had a table of six, service was excellent.
Here for Sunday brunch. Great food, great views. We will be back soon.
Disappointing experience for restaurant week with very dry snapper and mediocre salmon dish. Server tried her best with a rowdy crowd. In For dessert the molten lava cake was a small cupcake. And the ice cream was a fruit ball size scoop. When asked how we liked it and expressed our disappointment the waiter stated we can’t give you a normal portion for restaurant week what did you expect !! And we are loyalty members as well and very apparent the server didn’t really want our opinion.
Attended for restaurant week as we usually love Chart House! Our appetizer salads were with made with wilted lettuce and we did not receive any bread. Upon receipt of our meals, my husbands was beautiful (huge piece of salmon and a great bed of vegetables underneath), but my shrimp were very overcooked and literally one bite each. There were five total shrimp and no vegetables served with the shrimp. After we finished our first drink, the waitress took my glass and offered another to which I declined. She then came back during dinner and grab my husbands empty glass but never offered him another drink. She was very frazzled and we felt very rushed. Needless to say, this was our least pleasant experience there which is sad because we usually love it!
I love this restaurant for so many reasons! Every dinner there feels like a special occasion. Food and Service are always spot on. My only complaint was some of our party ordered the "Restaurant Week" menu and were a little disappointed with the Shrimp entree and the Steak/Pasta entree. However, Appetizers and Desserts were great!
The view is wonderful and the food quite good. It took about 20 minutes to get our cocktails. Then the appetizer came in good time, but salads and main followed too quickly. It also took awhile to get our check. I do understand that we were there for the last night of Restaurant Week and that may well have impacted the timing of our meal. Food was good and out server was attentive for the most part. We will come again.
The service and the ambiance were great. The food I could not eat. We ordered tuna poke and had no flavor at all. The cream of crab was practically a bowl or cornstarch. The salmon was just ok and dessert was worse than the one you buy at Safeway.
I was so excited to try the Chart House. Unfortunately it was not a great experience. My steak was not well done and had lots of pink -
Our drinks stayed empty -
We waited a good 40 minutes for our desert to come out. And when it finally did come out my desert was wrong.
For as expensive a meal as we had things should have been perfect. There was a complete lack of attention to detail with my mail. These were things that just should have been correct. And we spent almost three hours at dinner. It was too long.
Beautiful setting in front of fireplace. Went for restaurant week and enjoyed the salmon entree, cream of crab soup and the mud pie. However, the two folks who ordered the Asian shrimp entree were disappointed because of the small portion. It was appetizer size...4 shrimp!
We love Chart House and will often dine there for special occasions. Each time is usually pleasant and memorable. However, this visit was a bit disappointing. Perhaps because it’s restaurant week, the assumption was that we don’t frequent there or that we wouldn’t know any better- but our service was not the best. We weren’t asked if this was our first time @ CH, if we were celebrating anything (we were- our 9th anniversary), etc. I was also given a very visibly dirty wine glass and had to ask another server to switch it out for me. Fiballu, the RWeek shrimp entree was the size of an appetizer in comparison to the other options. I regretted getting it the minute it arrived. Still, we enjoyed the remainder of our meal and always love the ambiance. I just wish service and the shrimp entree option were better- no matter if there’s a special happening or not.
Went for restaurant week. Choices weren't that interesting but the food, service snd experience were very good.
Yes. We were not crazy about our seat as it was close to the where the servers tallies their bills. It was alot of commotion and servers would somewhat hang off our booth while waiting.
The Charthouse has always been a favorite brunch spot for my family and during brunch, we’ve had good service and food. Dinner on Saturday night was no where close. It was like a different restaurant. They were unable to successfully manage the volume of people (we were a party of 5). We got our first appetizer before we even got our first drink. We were not successful at getting additional drinks in a reasonable timeframe. Our food came out at different times (some guests had dinner while others waited). The wrong dishes were placed before the wrong person. The dessert for the pre fix menu did not come out at all. Our server was impossible to locate, so we could barely raise concerns. She was clearly overwhelmed. Then, one of our party ordered an Irish coffee and it came out as just a plain coffee. When we politely asked the server to remove the full charge for an Irish coffee ($8) from the bill, she proceeded to argue that it DID have liquor in it, we just didn’t notice. When we calmly explained that it was not served at all the way described in the menu, she said “Well, that’s how we do it here. I don’t know what to tell you.” I find this unacceptable for a fine dining restaurant, particularly given the cost of the food, the poor service and that our bill was substantial, making us very good customers ($500+). Sadly, we were very clear that we were celebrating a milestone birthday, and still that made no difference. Lastly, the managing host was rude to us and many others from the moment we walked in. We wont be going back and that’s a shame because it was a favorite.
We were greeted by the manager and seated as soon as we arrived. Garrett our waiter was wonderful.
The filet was served very dry Finally, I was able to get au jus that helped. The plate service was unattractive..no garnishes. I thought my waiter could have checked on us sooner since he did not serve us the food.
My wife and I went for dinner on our 15th wedding anniversary, the food, the service and the ambience was spectacular, we cannot wait to go back.
Food wasn’t good. Was $5 steak for $40. Why not serve a quality steak? I would never go back. Crab soup was good. Calamari was not good. Mahi was ok but Prob frozen.
Food ok not outstanding. Service good but waitress kept asking us to order more appetizers or go withs. We had ordered drinks, appetizers, entree’s and extra veggie to share. It became annoying. We ate and left without dessert.
Greeted by name. Service was attentive without being obtrusive. We were not rushe tho we held the table for some time. Beautiful view great food.
We requested a window table and did not get it. The restaurant was almost empty at 5:00.
The service was Awesome. Our waitress was Amazing! Beautiful restaurant with an gorgeous view. The food was good but I did not like everything that I ordered. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I will definitely go back again!
Shrimp, crab legs and filet were amazing.
We have been customers of Chart House in Annapolis for years.. It is always an excellent experience across the board.
Went to Chart House for my Wife's birthday. The entire experience was amazing! The food, ambiance and view was terrific. Our waiter was particularly on point. Excellent!
Enjoyed happy hour, followed by dinner. All was very good. The highest recommendation for the Cream of Crab soup which was truly excellent, assuming you love lots of crab meat chunks :)
This has been a favorite for a lot of years, the current menu is a great combination of favorites and very up to date items.
Excellent experience and very good food
