Chartier Head Chef Tamara Solon is curating a four course menu with various varieties and treatments of everyone's favourite flavour: GARLIC. Operator Kristin Graves will be on site to answer questions on her family's farming journey over the past 100 years. The cost per person is $85 + GST & Gratuity, with optional drink pairing available for $40. Each seatings is 2 hours, and reservations are available at 5:00, 5:30, 7:15, and 7:45.     So so sad that our favourite restaurant and the best restaurant in the whole Edmonton area, bar none is closing. Was a bittersweet last meal at the place we had one of our first dates. As always amazing food and just such a fantastic place. We we miss Chartier so much… hopefully somehow it comes back. Maybe open in Sherwood Park… we will be there every week. Au Revoir!

    Chartier never fails to provide anything but excellent service and wonderful food made from locally sourced ingredients. Great decor, comfortable and eclectic, including the serving dishes. Very attentive and friendly staff with owner Sylvia checking in on us as well. We are hoping for a miracle to keep this gem open in Beaumont.

    Very sad that this was our first, and apparently our last time at Chartier. Haven’t been there before as I prefer to cycle to places and we live in Edmonton. But really worth the drive, and really happy we got in. Ambience was relaxed and cozy. The staff were super friendly and we felt very much welcomed and at home. The food was really good, and the house cocktails were simply amazing. So much thought put into everything.

    We always feel so welcomed, and the staff always take time to talk and interact with their guests. Wonderful atmosphere, with the most amazing dishes, and incredibly tasty cocktails!

    The fried chicken sandwich was dry, stringy, rock hard and inedible. The replacement was the same. It took 25 munutes to arrive so we took it home and threw it out. The bison feature was overpriced at $40 and was bland with almost no veg in the sauce. Earlier we tried the small plates for a brunch. The meat in the smoked meat sandwich was greasy and fatty, half was left on the plate. The service in both cases was most excellent, and the bombe dessert was the highlight of both meals.

    Best restaurant bar none. The food is of exceptional high quality and portions are large. I shall miss this little place of heaven when they shut their doors at the end of the month. A massive loss to the community . I can understand how using high quality ingredients is difficult to sustain in today's environment but I applaud their decision to not compromise on their standards to simply remain in business. Perhaps sometime in the future the circumstances will allow them to restart - we surely need more places like this. Au revoir Chartier..j'espère te revoir bientôt.

    Pretty disappointed… there must have been an event or big booking for the evening… which everyone in the restaurant felt the rush of service! Not only is the restaurant industry suffering but when people go out spending more on food and service at a restaurant I would expect better! My booking was for 330 as there was no reservations available but there were only 6 tables full at our time and obviously clearing out before 5pm for the big booking or reservation that was on all the staffs mind setting up for!! Side plates, cutlery and drinks were forgotten! People arrange babysitters or time away from work for afternoons or evenings out… expensive food is ok… but service should make up for it!! The bartender was amazing when he was dropping drinks off!

    I love everything about this place, except that it should have been located in the city. The seafood poutine was spectacular and they had a great selection of local beers. I am so sad that they are closing.

    Heard rave reviews from previous reviews and my bf has eaten here quite a few times and said it was amazing before. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the case tonight. Meatballs were dry, risotto had no flavour, green beans were super oily (like it was old oil), I had asked for pepper on my fries and the server just walked away but provided pepper to everyone else at the table. Maybe because I was being truthful (but polite) when we were asked how the beans the server recommended was? Not sure. I’m sad I wasn’t able to experience this place in its glory. I had a reservation for tomorrow as well but cancelled it after tonight’s experience.

    Ambiance was great, eclectic style and great service. A little pricey but the food was great though wine options by the glass were limited - would have liked different red options. A little noisy but definitely going back if they stay open

    We went specifically for the seafood poutine. I wish they would answer the phone as we were so disappointed. The only reservation we could get was at 2:30pm and they do not serve it until the evening. We will try it again though.

    This will be my second time here this month and we have one more reservation on Sept 22.
