   First time going to chartier for breakfast! Will come back and maybe try something different, the coffee was the best. Had a sweet and salty maple doughnut and a breakfast of eggs, bacon toast and some type of sausage patty. The owner was simply lovely and I’m so glad that they are still in business!

   We were here for a prepaid mother's day brunch. The food was great, but the service was lacking considering you had to pre-pay the tip. Our server forgot several things, like our kids juice, sugar for coffee. Also felt a bit disappointed that a coffee wasn't included in the pre-pay meal. I can understand alcohol not being included, but thought a $70 brunch might include coffee. Also felt a bit mislead by "12 + under will have the option to order from our feature kids offerings", when there was no ordering at all, they were just brought a pre-set meal.

   This is a restaurant that excels at delicious rustic French cuisine. Cozy and scrumptious! Every bite is the perfect bite, and Chartier never disappoints. Their sourdough, whipped butter, and brie is always phenomenal. Drinks are superb. Every entree comes out with the wish that you ordered that, until you try your own and couldn't be happier. The owner, Sylvie, is a delight. This is the perfect place for any celebration or fancy meal out.

   We had a change of servers half way through. Thought it rude the first server didn’t let us know she was leaving our section. New server was courteous however I felt as though we were “in the way”as he was attentive to the other tables, not ours. Another wait staff cleared our plates and brought the dessert menu. Then someone else brought the bill and payment machine. I was left feeling as though our patronage was not appreciated.

   Thank you so much for dining with us Bernadette - we are incredibly grateful for your patronage, and I'm so sorry that didn't come across during your visit on Saturday. We are in the midst of training a group of wonderful young humans, and as a result we have more connection points with the guest than normal. We never want training to come at the expense of the guest experience though, so will be using your feedback as an opportunity to refine and adjust our practices.    As a repeat customer of Chartier, I was very pleased with the new spring menu the new salads were inspired. We enjoyed the watermelon, tomato salad, and the wedge salad very much. The chicken burger was delicious and huge and the dessert options were so tempting we had the orange Creamsicle crème brûlée, and the affogato. So delicious! Can’t wait for the next visit!

   Sadly the breakfast poutine was really disappointing. It was very salty and I couldn’t even taste the hollandaise. It seemed like it was missing something. Everything else was great and the people I came with enjoyed their dishes.

    We had an amazing time! Our server was so kind and smiley! The food was great! I would definitely recommend the Haricots Verts, sugar shack fried chicken sandwich and the Beaumont smoked meat bagel. Loved it! Girls were friendly and super lovely to us.
