Choose from à la carte dining or our 3 Course Table D'Hote Menu - freshly made farm-fresh crisp salads, succulent seafood, fresh cut beef, lamb or seasonal fresh fish with our daily catch. Everything is prepared from scratch using the best seasonal ingredients. Salad dressings are made with organic oils - flax, olive and sesame & apple cider vinegar - plus fresh organic herbs. We use honey in place of sugar where possible and only the finest sea salts available. We aim to have most, if not all our ingredients from local Sunshine Coast organic and/or local British Columbia sources - all dishes are made to order!

    Our server Erin is amazing. She always remembers us and makes us feel special. The food really is outstanding for such a small community restaurant. We just love dinner at Chasters.

    WE WERE GREETED AND SEATED PROMPTLY, SERVER(S) WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL, WE REALLY ENJOYED OUR MEAL, MUSHROOM SOUP WAS THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD, ROAST DUCK WAS DONE TO PERFECTION. I WAS INVITED TO THIS RESTAURANT FOR MY 35TH BIRTHDAY AND TO THIS DAY I REMEMBER HOW GOOD THE PEPPER STEAK WAS, 37 YEARS AGO.

    It was our 47th wedding anniversary and the ambiance was perfect ... we were able to have a private conversation and actually hear each other! The service was spot on and the food was exceptional. The food presentation was artful and enticing. Yeah ... I guess you could call us a couple of very happy campers :-)

    Everything was outstanding! The food, the atmosphere and the service. Both my husband and I felt like we were the only ones there, even though it was an almost full night. Our server Bernie had delectable wine pairing suggestions that we enjoyed immensely. We felt completely catered to with his impeccable service and can’t wait to return again for all our special celebrations.

    Everything was perfect. I can’t say enough good things about the staff, the food, the service and the atmosphere. It was truly a special experience and I will absolutely go again the next time I’m in Gibson’s!

    Dinner at Chaster’s is an inspiration. The setting alone is worth the trip. The food is excellent - expertly prepared and tasty. Staff extends a warm welcome. Be prepared for a relaxing, extended dining experience where your hosts are not in a hurry to get rid of you. Chaster’s is one of our ‘go to’ favorite spots.

    As a long time client of this restaurant, we were concerned when it changed ownership. We were happy to see continuity in the kitchen and serving staff. Very happy birthday girl as a result of a great meal and friendly knowledgeable serving staff with great smiles. A perfect mix on the cocktail helped as well.

    Lovely meal. Staff were welcoming. Nice variety of menu choices. We had soup, salad, and 2 different fish . Topped off with a medley of 3 desserts . All was delicious. The wine list featured BC wines .

    Chasters serves the finest food and service in the Gibsons Area. Eddie and his team delivers a delicious menu. My favourites are the house soups, Duck and Halibut but frankly there isn’t anything on the menu that isn’t good.....leave room for dessert. Berni is an attentive and excellent server providing a relaxed and enjoyable experience. Cocktails and wine menu are wonderful. Chasters should not be saved for a special occasion as they make each visit special.

    The food here was INCREDIBLE. Best meal I’ve had in a long time, no question. Our server was also lovely. The only knock was the decor /ambiance- it’s really quite dated. To the point that I was questioning the recommendation prior to the food arriving. Thankfully, I quickly was wow’ed by the food and absolutely trust the recommendation.

    My wife and I recently dined at Chasters for our anniversary. The whole experience was fantastic. We ordered two appys Scallops and Pork Belly. The scallops were perfectly cooked and Pork belly was delicious with an especially artful presentation. For the main we both ordered the rack of lamb - perfectly cooked to order - medium rare. Beautiful presentation. A bottle of Burrowing Owl to wash it all down. Our server Bernie was attentive and knowledgeable. Presenting us with a dessert sampler with Happy Anniversary written on the plate in chocolate - on the house - was a perfect end to a lovely meal. Well done!

    Great professional service. I worked in the restaurant industry for years and the attention by the Chasters front house staff was incredible. And the kitchen is top notch! Delicious food and amazing service with an ocean view.

    The perfect combination. Attentive service combined with excellent food in a beautiful setting. There's nothing more you could ask for. The duck was cooked to perfection and its sauce complimented it perfectly. And we all loved the trio of deserts, each a perfect delight. Certainly the best place to eat in the Gibsons area.

    As always, Chasters Restaurant didn't disappoint. We were there for 3 birthdays and it was a perfect evening. We ordered the table d'hote catch of the day and my mouth is still watering. Service was well paced, food was hot and the presentation was very good. We will be going back.

    The highlights of our dining experience at Chasters was the food and the service. The taste of the dishes were remarkable - really interesting flavour profiles and textures; and we loved the use of yuzu in the scallops. The mint pea soup was just spectacular- so much bright flavour and the white truffle oil added so much, instead of taking away. The pork medallions and fresh cod were equally delicious and satisfying. Our server, who I gather was a manager, was wholly welcoming and lovely and treated us so well. She ensured we had the best time and always had a full glass of something. She was kind and helpful, and personable, to boot. Other highlights included the view, which was stunning, as we had the corner table closest to the water. We spent about 3.5 hours at Chasters, and could have spent three more. Very comfortable and cozy - the blankets and heat lamp helped melt the chill away. Truly the loveliest dining experience we could have imagined for our seventh wedding anniversary. Thank you!

    Super location with outside terrace looking out over the Strait of Georgia towards Vancouver Island and the Southern Gulf Islands. Perfect service, quiet, unobtrusive and attentive. Fantastic food - they have a chef with immense skill. Every course was cooked to perfection. Scallops well caramelised and perfectly cooked in the middle, pork tenderloin that you cut with a fork and a perfect green mustard sauce, salmon cooked with delicacy, veg cooked just enough they retained their flavour with a hint of crunch. Dessert was a trio of delicious things at chefs discretion. One of best dining experiences I've had in the past 40 years.

    I would highly recommend Chaster's Restaurant to anyone who is celebrating a special occasion!! Best restaurant on the Sunshine Coast! The Halibut was served on mashed potatoes with roasted vegetables. All cooked to perfection. Bread was served before the meal and their sampling of desserts was served after allowing us lots of time to enjoy the meal while watching the cruise ships sail by on the veranda of a beautiful home.

    We enjoyed a beautifully prepared, delicious entree with delicate flavours and tasteful presentation. The Halibut special and the delectable suculent pork loin both juicy and delicious. The service was warm and welcoming but not hovering...made for a peaceful and relaxing evening looking out to the sparkling water toward Vancouver Island. Priced right for the quality! Can't wait to go back.

    Amazing service, over the top delicious fish and beef tenderloin main courses - the soup literally was the best I’ve ever tasted - celery root with truffle drizzle (and I don’t like celery) ..... the whole meal was a taste experience with layers of complex flavours. The setting was lovely but our waiter made the experience the best.....so lovely with my Mom and I - he was ok with us just having one glass of wine each and not pushy. The price for this quality was fair and we will make this our go to place. Can’t wait to return.

    We had an intimate anniversary dinner. The staff was efficient and very warm and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. A great way to start a romantic evening (even after 49 years of marriage!)

    Our host welcomed us with a smile and gave us our choice of a few tables. Our wine server was very knowledgable of the wine list . We were given fresh made bread with sun dried tomato spread and it was delicious. Our server went over the entrees and specials with us. Very friendly and attentive service. Meal was prompt and divine. I hand ling cod and husband had lamb over mashed potatoes with perfecty cooked veggies. View of the ocean added to the ambiance. We were surprised with a combination of 3 tasting deserts with happy anniversary written on our plate in chocolate sauce. My husband and I were so well taken care of and had the most memorable 30th anniversary meal. A gorgeous setting.
