    Outstanding quality of food. Great range of options. Very nice selection of gluten free options. The decor is very appealing, service is top notch. Great for celebrating any occasion, or simply for a nice meal out.

    Chef David's Bistro is for sure the best place to dine in Mountainview County and beyond!! The food was superb and the service was outstanding. My favorite is the Veal Marsala.

    I’ve only been here a handful of times, but I’ve now been for lunch and dinner and it is absolutely amazing. It’s always a great atmosphere, and the food has never missed a beat.

    We met friends at the halfway point between towns, for dinner. My friend had heard about it from friends so we thought we would try it, and we are glad we did. Food was great, I had the short ribs and they were so tender and the sauce was delicious. My friend had the salmon and loved it. We start with the Mediterranean mussels, excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant

    I ate the chicken parmigiana. The coating was soggy and sauce on the pasta had absorbed making the pasta sticky. Our waitress seemed quite inexperienced and another had to help with our service.

It's a shame that we did not make this right while you were at the bistro with another dish. This is our normal procedure to ensure our guests are 100% satisfied.     This was a difficult day for our family, 11 years since the passing of my husband, a father, and a grandfather. Having made the reservation and the family being able to get together made a hard day easier! We all enjoy the food at Cacio the Pepe and appreciate Chef David, stopping by to chat. Whenever I ask where the family would like to go out for supper, I get a unanimous Cacio de Pepe♥️

    On a good note our young server was wonderful! More isn’t always better - sadly the ravioli was in way too much oil and the Cacio Pepe linguini was also in too much oil and way over seasoned. The bruschetta starter overall was a fail - too salty, and only 1/4cup of bruschetta 😕

I assume the rest were ok as you did not comment on them. I wish we could have known this when you were here so we could try to substitute something else. I realize it may have been busy and your server did not check in on you?? The Cacio e Pepe is a cheese and pepper pasta so its heavy on the pepper and should come with a warning label!     If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Chef David is an excellent chef. We come from Red Deer to Olds just to go to this restaurant. The beef dip with caramelized onions is the best. My husband tried the Monte cristo it was delicious. The cauliflower appetizer is a must try too. Chef David”s food is worth a drive from Calgary or Edmonton if you are looking for a next level meal.

    We really enjoy this gem of a restaurant. We were there with friends who were happy to return again this year to dine. They come from BC and Edmonton once a year, and very much enjoy the good service and wonderful food . Till next year....

    Everything was wonderful, it was a bit noisy but only because it looked like the BIA was having a large group dinner, and they were enjoying themselves, so we did not mind. We will be back for sure.

    I have eaten many places in Olds. I believe that this, if not the best, is one of the best restaurants in Olds. I had the signature dish, Cacio e Pepe. It had good flavour of pepper and excellent cheese flavour. The service was excellent, the dishes that were served was appealing and everyone enjoyed their meal. The meals were served promptly. I would definitely visit this restaurant again. We had a slight mobility issue as one of our group had difficulty getting up the one step at the front door, however, we did not know about the back entrance that has a ramp. Will remember that for next time.

    On the recommendation of a friend we booked a table for 6:30 Saturday August 26. After 20 minutes being seated we didn't have anybody come to our table. We were very aware the restaurant was busy but after that time it didnt give us a feeling that we were going to have any service at all. For a restaurant that has high accolades with pictures of olympian achievements we did not see any of those attributes. Such a pity. We drove out from Calgary and this is not a place we would recommend.

    The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgable about available products. The food although not timed, seemed to take a bit to arrive, but that could be my imagination, no big deal for sure. The food was very nice and exceeded our expectations for the most part. The actual prices have been increased from what was in the online menu, so our total was somewhat higher than I had anticipated. Also not overly, and thats just the way things seem to be now. Increasing at rates we can't quite keep track of. The only actual thing that really started to bother us, was the noise level as the place filled up. It felt like we had to holler at each other to be heard, somewhat like being in a bar filled to capacity. I'm not sure what one could do to help with the dB level, but our party found it quite off-putting. Summary: The staff and the quality of food would bring us back. The dB level would have us do it at a more tranquil time of day for the restaurant, like 4pm.

    Travelling through and checked Trip Advisor for a dinner recommendation. Wonderful reviews convinced us to make a dinner reservation for our return trip. (Reservations are a must for this very popular and great restaurant.). We are glad we did. Great food, pleasant service in spite of the restaurant being so busy. Should we ever be again in Olds for a meal, this restaurant is the very first we will check out. Highly recommended.

    We convened from several locations (Calgary, Red Deer, Airdrie) to celebrate a birthday with brunch at Chef David’s. The place wasn’t busy and perhaps as a result our service was quick and attentive. The food was excellent and seemed very good value. Not sure when we will be in Olds again, but we’ll certainly remember this place.
