The food was very good and the prices were reasonable. The waiter could not have been nicer to my wife and daughter
Very good. A group of 9 so hard to coordinate!! Service a bit slow but Came with a smile! Food very good and well made for all of us.
Excellent service for our party of 9! I was so impressed how well our large group was managed. We were in a smaller side room and it was nice and peaceful too. Everyone liked their food and the prices are very reasonable. I had the turkey, pesto and bacon sandwich on ciabatta bread and it was as delicious. The French toast and the Asian salad looked awesome too. My friend with celiac disease loves this place for the good gluten free options. A lot of care was given to the allergy concerns in my group. We will have future gatherings here for sure.
We found that the restaurant was very crowded, noisy and no air circulation. The hosts, very young, were not especially helpful. We left
Our server whose name was Summer provided outstanding service in every respect. She was prompt, efficient, resourceful, and pleasant. She made the meal to become a most enjoyable dining experience.
Tasty dishes, well prepared. I've had both brunch and dinner here and the quality has been excellent with a varied and creative selection of dishes.
Great service. The staff was attentive and friendly. Food was delicious.
Came for brunch on the Saturday after Thanksgiving with family. Service was great - prompt and attentive, but not overbearing. Food was delicious - classic dishes like eggs Benedict and steak and eggs were on point, and we enjoyed a dish of the ricotta doughnuts for the table. The noise level was perfect, we could all hear each other comfortably, and the floor to ceiling glass brought in lots of natural light.
We had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner at Chef Geoff’s West End! The food was delicious and the service and atmosphere were lovely.
Ample portions of tasty food.
Amazing time here! LOVED the food so much!!! Great spot for brunch, yummy bottomless mimosas.
Chef Geoff's food is always good but the portions for the short ribs were very small
at this West End location.
In DC for a few days and this was close to our hotel. Nice menu with interesting selections. It was hard to make a choice. Wine list was decent. Out food came quickly and was delicious. The fish was very fresh, the sides were interesting. The dessert menu was extensive and varied.
Lots of gluten free options, which is always appreciated.
Poor service, average food, too expensive for what you get
Skip the Chicken Parmesan it was dry and the pasta mushy. I ordered a side of broccoli which was the highlight of my meal. The Halibut looked good. My previous meal at this establishment the crab cakes was great but due to a shortage of crab it was not available. Based on this visit I would not recommend. Our waitress Summer was good.
The food was excellent. The service, not so much. It was very inconsistent. One member of our party was running late and called ahead to have a bottle of Prosecco sent to our table. The waiter didn’t check to see if we wanted drinks or appetizers while we were waiting for our friends. The Prosecco never showed up and so we had to ask for it when they arrived. The server didn’t remember several items. We had to wait an extra long time for one dessert - the others had already arrived and were consumed well before it arrived. When I made the reservation, I was asked to note if it was a special occasion. I said that it was. I mentioned it again to our server. There didn’t seem to be any point. Kudos to the kitchen. The front of house needs some tweaks.
The atmosphere and food was great, an amazing experience. Our waiter was in the need of more training, but still a great experience. I would highly recommend dinning here. The menu has a variety of choices.
Had a first date with a cool young lady at Chef Geoff's last night. I like the layout of the spot, it's pretty stylish. Our server, Diego, was kind, polite, knowledgeable about the menu, and prompt in service. It was pretty packed, as it was a Friday night, but our appetizers and our main courses each came out in timely fashion. Food was enjoyable, but the steak did have a lot of peppercorn. Drinks were good and not as expensive as I thought they might be. I'd definitely come back..
Our server Justin did an outstanding job in every way!
Our server was so kind and helpful. She was sweet and funny and engaged with us in very nice ways. Food was yummy!!
Excellent food and service!!! Great vibe. Will return!
CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH. We made our decision to eat at this neighborhood restaurant based on the online menu posted on the restaurant's website. My wife and I were torn between several appetizers and main courses. When we got to the restaurant, we were presented with a different, much abbreviated menu having none of the items we saw on the posted menu. Indeed, no appetizer and no main course appealed to us. We wound up having cheeseburgers since we were hungry and were there.
If we wanted burgers for dinner, there are half a dozen places also within walking distance of our home that have better burgers for less cost.
I understand restaurants are struggling, but they won't make it back if they merely offer an expensive (not necessarily their fault these days) but unpleasant dining experience (yes, their fault). It's not a burden to post an accurate menu on the restaurant's web site. We would not have come there based on the menu we were given.
We are done with Chef Geoff.
Excellent food. I miss the chicken sandwich though, but the pepperoni pizza was a great alternative.
Food was excellent! The Chinese salad with chicken was seasoned expertly with ginger! The short rib tortellini was different and delicious. It tasted rather like a thanksgiving dinner in each bite! Service was slow but efficient, allowing for a relaxed meal in a lovely setting.
Very attentive service for outdoor dining. They even moved and fired up the heaters for us. Food: who has halibut on the menu nowadays? Chef Geoff!
Little annoyances like forgetting the lemon requested and the need to take the elevator downstairs to a very smelly rest room. But outweighed by warm reception.
Fun evening! Our server Justin was terrific. Will definitely go back!
Food was really tasty. I'll be back, though I feel there could be a lunch entree menu which is a bit more accessible, price point-wise.
My husband's pasta was good but my steak had no flavor. I was disappointed.
Love Geoff Tracey's work. Never disappoints. Long time afficiondos!
Very disappointed. Ordered the blue cheese crusted pork chop medium well. Came out not cooked thoroughly. Sent it back and they just recooked the piece sent back. No sauce, no fresh vegetables. My vegetables were cold waiting for the pork chop. Very disappointed in the food. Calamari appetizer was good enough. Will not return.
I booked an Open Table reservation for 5 people outdoors for 7:30 on a Sat. night. When we arrived the person at the front desk asked us to wait a bit while he checked on the table. When he finally came back to us, he told us he only could give us a table for 4 with an extra chair pulled up. When I declined and asked him to put two tables together, he refused. He also said there were no indoor tables for 5. I complained that it was too late to find an alternative in the neighborhood and asked to see the manager, who finally put two tables together indoors. Finally seated we then had to wait interminably for service and to signal the waiter repeatedly, often unsuccessfully, to order and to get the check. Altogether a bad experience and very different than we have at the Chef Geoff on New Mexico Ave. where we go frequently. The chef needs to train his staff to present his restaurants equally well if he is going to run more than one.
Great food, great service, great outdoor eating area. A perfect meal!! I highly recommend this restaurant!
Loved it. I had the Halibut and the wife had a Greek salad. Love both meals and not a bad price. We’d recommend.
We are outside and it wasn’t very crowded because we went later in the afternoon. Great for people still unsure about eating out. Lots of room btn tables and servers wear masks. Great food as always. Parking is hit or miss so plan accordingly.
The food was great!
We had a great time but lost our server at the end of our meal.
Overall it was a great time!
From beginning to end, the service and food at Chef Geoff's West End was great!! Would definitely return.
Great service, good food and nice prices! Highly recommend outdoor seating. Easy pre-theater Kennedy Center option.
This was our second time and like the first we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service! It is attached to a Hilton Garden Inn and perhaps I keep thinking it is going to be mediocre hotel food. It is the opposite. Fresh and tasty. Will definitely go back!
We had a great time at Chef Geoff's West End. We have been so underwhelmed by so many other, more upscale/fancy restaurants and were so happy to just have a nice solid meal with nice solid service. We went for brunch and the food was nothing to write home about, but it checked the boxes we were looking for. The service was friendly and prompt.. a breath of fresh air these days. Thank you, Chef Geoff's!
Had dinner on a Friday night. Food was delicious. Went back for Saturday brunch and that was also delicious! Server's were friendly and attentive. Would definitely go back next time we're in town.
