   The atmosphere was cool. I thought there would be more food to choose from, but I guess that was the daily menu. The items I wanted were for brunch. So, I ended up eating wings and sliders for my birthday. Wasn't what I wanted for a bday dinner, but everything taste good!

   Dollar cover charge to come and sit in the back where the DJ was not at my server was very rude. I went on a Jamaica night. There was no Jamaican food. It just was not a good experience overall.

   Reservation was 11am…Server approached 15 mins after we decided to just sit ourselves. We got water but could not order drinks because the bar tenders hadn’t arrived. We got drinks 45 to 50 mins after arriving. Breakfast was decent but the potatoes were over cooked so not so pleasant to chomp on and my fried eggs were butchered. I wasted most of it but the bacon was perfect. Service was so slow with it not having that many patrons but it was our first time visit so we just know to eat something small before we come here because it’s going to be a long wait. The music was great! The server was nice. Definitely needs to work on time management when it comes to getting food and drinks out to customers, it was honestly the longest I’ve ever waited at a restaurant after already being seated. Could be 3 stars but as long as we waited for our drinks, they tasted like 90% juice.

   You guys can do better! Please do better, I want this to succeed. The service on a Saturday was just moderate, nothing to write home about and that is the first thing you want in a restaurant visit. Everyone wants excellent service. The food was okay, I had the shrimp and grits. I ate the whole thing :) Update your menu, I was there on 17 September and the menu said July. I asked for outdoor seating (reservation), there was no outdoor seating. What is that about? Overall, I am going to go back, all in hopes of a better experience.

   My husband and I were visiting for the weekend and was referred to Chefs from a friend. The whole experience gets 5 stars! I can still taste the food and the Jamaican punch..yummy. We will definitely be back!

    I brought in my birthday at Chef’s and it was one of the best birthdays I’ve ever had. Definitely one for the books, movies were made and the experience was phenomenal. 5/5 Stars…Highly Recommended.

    Our server wasn’t attentive. We would ask for something and she wouldn’t bring it. She checked on us once over the 2-hour dine-in visit. We would go up to the bar to ask for water refills, napkins, drinks, etc. and the bartender even had an attitude about it and said “do you not have a server?” We told him, yes but she isn’t checking on us. I informed her of her service, and she was receptive and thanked me for the feedback. The food is always great, and the hookah service/receiving new coals was swift. Not the service I wanted to receive on Juneteenth, from a blacked owned establishment!

    Chefs was so nothing short of amazing I enjoyed it, food was DELICIOUS, and our waiter was AMAZING he was friendly, kind and extremely helpful and represented the company well. I enjoyed the entire experience. I ordered the steak and eggs and it was really seasoned to perfection!

    Chicken was dry the French toast was burnt with taste of other items mix in French toast, then anything over 20 bucks they automatically charge you 18% some of that goes to what they call kitchen appreciation tip!!! Wth is that! Was my favorite spot for my Business brunch but never again. 18% tip over anything $20, everything on the menu over $20……..smh

    Energetic lively bar scene. More suited for younger crowd. But did enjoy meal, staff very friendly and engaging. Waited a bit to receive water, utensils etc. once food arrived, delicious. Shrimp n grits very flavorful and yummy. Lobster man n cheese creamy how I like it and not overly baked. It’s located in the Gaslamp section of San Diego. There is parking garage close by. All In all a very hip lively place to enjoy brunch.

    We went on a Holiday Sunday for a bunch and were worried that the line might be very long, but we used OpenTable to grab a reservation, and when we got there, the hostess immediately sat us. We had already looked at the menu online, but the waitress went over some of the highlights, and we ended up ordering the Bourbon French Toast and Shrimp & Grits. There were quite a few people in the restaurant already, so we were prepared for a long wait to get our food. Our waitress apologized for the kitchen being backed up, but our plates came out after about 10-15 minutes! WOW! The food was fantastic!!! I’m mad that I got full because I wanted to check out some of the other dishes that I saw being delivered to other tables. The vibe inside was pretty hype too: Great music and fantastic artwork on the walls. This will definitely not be our last time visiting.

    Went for Brunch on Mother’s Day….the food was served buffet style @90$ per person…price wise I didn’t care cause it was for my kids mother and my girlfriend who’s daughter was in town to treat her for the day…I don’t have anything negative to say as much as I do suggestive,…. Not sure if eggs made to order was option but there’s should have been a station for it… Most 90$ and up brunches include endless mimosas or coffee so I think that should be included in your price cost… Other than that the vibe was good…I know the owner, the Dj and a few others who played a part in making this all happen…just think in the future giving more options including desert/Hot coffee station for the price point would make the overall experience good

    I was super excited to visit this restaurant after looking at their brunch menu online. We arrived 10min late after searching for parking to not be greeted then when I said hello told that they weren’t ready to open almost 20mins after opening. Finally once we were seated we weren’t given any details about brunch. When we scanned the menu the options had changed but there was no pricing available. About 25 mins after sitting their we asked if they good get us drinks and we’re told there was only soft drinks available and mimosas. Which for brunch you would think they had at least coffee. About 45 mins in the food was finally ready but only some of the options. One of the guest asked for some of the prime rib when it finally came out and said they only wanted half a piece and the cook laughed as she said you better take the whole piece this buffet is $90. The entire meal was cold and not as described on the menu so needless to say I wasn’t happy with service, food or the unadvertised “Mother’s Day” brunch buffet. And after this experience will not be returning.

    I booked a 10 am reservation here on Mother's Day Sunday. When we arrived at 10 am, the hostess told us we they weren't and closes the door on us. We waited outside for 15 minutes along with about another 20 or so guest, and never got an update. After 15 minutes I walked back in to see what was going on and at that time we were told we could sit down for drinks. This was supposed to be a mother's day brunch. And at 10:35-10:40 am there was still no brunch set, and the staff looked lost. When I asked if we could get an update, the staff couldn't give me a straight answer. So we walked out. By that time other parties had walked out as well. This place wanted to charge $90 for a mother day buffet / brunch which didn't even include drinks. And for that much money, you'd think a business would have their stuff together and make it a great experience for their guest. Luckily we walked down 1 block and had a great breakfast experience at the Fig Tree Cafe. I'd never try this Chefs place again.

    The concept is great! However, they lacked on everything else. The staff is either unaware of what’s going on or they just don’t care. The hostess didn’t walk us to our table and instead told us to sit wherever we wanted. The server did not know anything about the menu. While he was friendly and very good looking, he didn’t help much with anything else besides bringing out our food. The food was subpar, at best! Definitely not worth the almost $300 tab (for 2 ppl). It was too loud in the establishment to even hold a conversation. There is so much potential with this place but seems that there’s a lack of direction as a whole in the execution of their concept.

    It was sister-time as well as a belated birthday celebration. Since we knew Chef Chubby of Obnoxious Cuisine, we wanted to support her and Chefs SD. The ambiance was great, music was flowing, hospitality staff was fantastic, the drinks were on point, the appetizers & entree were delicious. A special thank you to Lluvia, Jasmine & Chef Chubby for taking great care of us. We definitely plan on coming back.

    The food was good.Seasoned well. I had the DABoyz breakfast platter. Love that you get all 3 meats not one of those choose one type of meals. The service though was awful. Had to get the hostess to call our server. Took extremely long for food to come out, then when I asked for jelly and ketchup that took about 15 or so minutes to get. Love the concept but please work on your customer service with the waiters
