Cherry Circle Room
Chef Pete Coenen’s offerings are both refined and rustic, and reference the
restaurant’s original opening menus of the late 1890’s. His dishes are creative,
sublime takes on familiar regional classics, utilizing the best, most flavorful and
freshest ingredients each season has to offer.
We also encourage guests to visit our adjoining spaces, with include fully restored drawing (lobby) and game rooms (with billiards, bocce, shuffleboard and more), as well as our 8 seat rare and vintage spirits tasting room, the Milk Room, all offering distinctive drink and food options specific to each room.

The room was gorgeous and the food was amazing. We were celebrating our anniversary and recent engagement. They helped make the occasion even more special.
The food and service were good, but overpriced... not sure if I would go back.
Absolutely wonderful place. The location, the food, the service, and the amazing wine list...everything about this place was exceptional. Definitely a must on my list to visit again.
Excellent cocktails and outstanding leg of lamb. Superb service. Nice ambience.
Service, drinks and food were all above and beyond! Will definitely be back!
The food was excellent. The cocktails were incredible. The service was Flawless from beginning to end. Our waiter, Nicholas, was full of knowledge about the food, the wine pairing everything. We are definitely coming back.
Love Cherry Circle Room! As a frequent traveler to Chicago, I love the history of the place and the building, but what keeps me coming back is the food, service and ambiance; consistently exceptional. The beef tartare made table side is wonderful. The pork entree and duck were wonderfully prepared and creative and not too much food ( for this meat and potatoes town). Interesting but expensive wine list and good cocktails. The cozy dark booths are a step back in time, in a good way. Hard to find these days.
4th time back and food, service, and atmosphere were great. Always try to stop here when I’m in Chicago.
Excellent dining experience. Perfect for exploring all courses with exquisite cocktail and wine pairings.
Special dining experience in this gorgeous, cozy, feels like you are away from it all Restaurant. It isn’t about volume here, it’s about dining with delicious food and beverage. Love it!
Quiet, cozy and atmospheric. This was my second visit - had to make a 5 pm reservation just to get in.
We had the grilled watermelon, pork featherloin, shrimp cocktails, and halibut. All cooked to perfection, nicely presented and in good proportion.
Food and service excellent. Room too dark, had to use light to read menu
We made a reservation for 5 people at 12 noon Sunday Brunch and arrived on time. The welcome from the female host was rather chilly and she didn't appear ready for our arrival, we were sat at the first table near the entrance, 3 deuces pulled together with 6 place settings - 3 and 3 facing each other, a bit awkward for conversation. So one of my guests pulled her chair to head of the table asking me if it was ok, I said of course. This way she wouldn't have to look down the length of the table to have conversation... the host seemed put off by this move but the dropped the menus and left. After the meal was served neither the host or the waiter checked on us for additional brunch cocktails. When we left we passed directly by the host, we never heard a good bye greeting, "thank you", "have a great day"...nothing!
It was an amazing experience. I will be going there again. Cocktails were top notch.
Thoughtful and impressive service! Magnificent food!
Great food and presentation.
I had the best lamb, that I have had anywhere and I have been many places around the US and abroad.
The highlight was the dark chocolate creek brûlée.
What a great experience! We went on the recommendation of a friend that had visited the bar/game room side a few days earlier. We were visiting Chicago with my four children, husband and MIL. We went for dinner our first night in town and as a special 70th birthday dinner for my mother in law. They had a special menu waiting for her. The service was excellent. The ambiance is well deserving of the James Beard award! The menu is not big by any means, but plenty of options to satisfy everyone. We left more then full. We were very happy with the evening and will be back for sure. I would not say this would normally be a kid friendly place, but they did not blink their eye at our two 16 year olds, 12 year old and 9 year. They are all we’ll traveled and excellent diners however. Loved the evening here.
Unique historic Chicago venue, exceptional service and fantastic food. All 7 of our party were very impressed (5 in from NYC).
Always a class act. Whether at the bar or in one of their expansive booths, dinner at the CCR is always memorable. The food it outstanding and the drinks are just as good. Never trendy, always classic/classy. A Chicago gem.
Beautiful restaurant with great food and great service. Highly recommended.
Good but not amazing. Food is well prepared. Great atmosphere especially compared to the bro fest of the game room. Caviar was lovely, desserts try too hard.
What an experience. Amazing food, impressive cocktails and a really great ambiance. We had one of the best date nights in quite a while.
Another truly excellent dining experience. Exceptional service, delicious food, in unique and captivating surroundings.
Celebrating a birthday we decided to try Cherry Circle Room because we thought it would be a place to enjoy a meal and conversation. Creative cocktails, nice selection of spirits, and a wine list I avoided. I picked the varietal and asked the server to choose. The conversation was distracted by the food. My train of thought was suddenly derailed because of fried watermelon. It became clear to just eat and mumble. Service was friendly and attentive. Luckily, the server brought a flashlight to illuminate the dessert menu because this place is dark. Dress was jeans to business casual but the room has a elegant vibe even with servers in jeans and "Chucks."
Nice setting w solid food and service. For the price, there are many restaurants with similar levels overall. Worth a visit for sure.....but maybe not a second.
We had excellent service, great coffee, & delicious breakfast food.
Another great experience! We started with some great champagne to go with our oysters. If you’re an oyster fan, they’re a must get. Best I’ve had in Chicago! We also loved the burger and the mashed potatoes. The duck was good, but I wouldn’t order it again. I can’t wait to return and try more of the menu!
This was the second time I ate at the Cherry Circle. I think it is great for special occasions. I love the table side martinis. I had fish both times and was very happy with both. The staff is very knowledgeable about the food and drink. It is a very classy atmosphere but not pretentious. I felt comfortable but special. It is a little too pricey for every week for us but we will definitely keep it on the list for special occasions.
I have always had a great experience at Cherry Circle Room. This time it was my Birthday celebration with work colleagues and the food didn’t disappoint. The only slight blemish was that some tomato sauce got splattered on one of my companions as a plate was being cleared. It was just an accident but the Birthday chocolate brûlée we received more than made up for the slip!
Had a great breakfast meeting here. My first time trying this place. It was within a few miles of the convention center so easy for my meeting prior to a convention. I also liked how early it opened and that they have alcohol. The food was delicious! I plan on eating here again.
Beautiful, historic building - the ambiance was fantastic & we all enjoyed our meals (breakfast). It is a wonderful place for a business meeting or quiet meal. The high booth banquettes give you more privacy than open tables and kept things quieter. Service is attentive without being intrusive. Highly recommend!
Service was exemplary and the entire staff (and there were many) was friendly and knowledgeable.
Food was 'creative' yet overpriced, example $18 for beets. 'Deconstructed' carrot cake presentation looked good but uninteresting taste.
Absolutely the best choice for my husband’s birthday dinner and our first time in Chicago. I recommend this to anyone who appreciates perfect service, specialty cocktails, and a unique experience of being in a historical place. Very special!
Great that they moved us from a cramped tiny table to a booth - made such a difference, little birthday touches were lovely, great food, service & ambience
Fabulous service, especially Tom, and ambiance. Sturgeon Benedict, waffles, sausages, smoked salmon, coffee and fresh juices were very nice. Shrimp and grits were good but maybe a little too rich.
Will definitely be back!
What a beautiful old dining room! Note: no daylight in restaurant. Very dark!
Great food. Impeccable service! Beautiful room and food presentation. !!
Great service - love it here
