Service was a bit slow. Wine was delicious. Our party had the rib-eye, braised veal and salmon. Very good food, served hot and well-prepared. I mentioned in my reservation that we were celebrating my husband’s birthday, but restaurant missed it. Not a big deal but that would be going above and beyond, for sure.

My wife and I celebrated an anniversary at Chez Delmo and it was incredible! Perfect atmoshpere, upscale bar, great service and amazing dishes. The owner came to meet us and made sure everything was perfect. The food was very tasty with interesting flavours done in such an intelligent way. Very hard to discribe, needs to be experience!

Truly a wonderful experience and dining. The night started with beautifully created cocktails followed by perfectly fresh oysters. The main course of lobster was delicious but the mussels were the surprising highlight! I welcomed the friendly efficient service and their recommendations. It was an experience I will savior for ever.

We booked our reservation as part of the Montreal MTLaTable promotion. However, we were disappointed with our dining experience. While the service was very good, we felt that the overall quality of our meal was just average. We expected much more from this restaurant. The noise level was quite high where we were seated as the tables were situated quite close to each other. We were expecting a more inspired menu, and a quieter, more relaxing dinner experience at this historic restaurant.

Best seafood restaurant in Montreal. Seafood pasta is amazing. Their Dover sole is served classic meuniere and is the best i've had anywhere. The cocktails are very generous (thank you William). Busy neighborhood joint full of regulars but well choreographed, perfectly timed service, we did not feel rushed. The food is absolutely amazing, expensive but top quality. It's a family owned restaurant, and the interactions between the owners and their children who work there are hilarious and make the atmosphere very special. Thank you! Strongly recommend.

Aucune flexibilité pour modifier un changement de frites d'accompagnement pour des légumes. Le menu du jour n'est pas clair à comprendre. Je pensais avoir un menu à 40 $ par personne. Plus naturellement vin et tisane. Sans dessert. Je me retrouve avec une addition comprenant taxes et pourboires à 15% à 216 $. Pour un lunch avec une amie - c'est beaucoup trop... je ne vais pas y retourner.

Nous sommes très surpris de lire votre commentaire: en effet la formule du midi (table d'hôte) est clairement indiquée sur une carte séparée du menu régulier, avec le prix de $40 indiqué avant les choix. Le menu régulier ("à la carte") est sur un autre document et encore là les prix sont clairement indiqués sur chaque item. Vous avez choisi "à la carte" et facturé en conséquence.

This has been our "go-to" restaurant whenever we visited Montreal. It is a charming establishment in Old Montreal and service and food had been consistently excellent in the past... However, this experience did not meet our expectations. I ordered Dover Sole, and always enjoyed the presentation, with the deboning performed tableside. This time, the Dover Sole was served, after being deboned in the kitchen. My broccoli rabe was bitter/not cooked correctly. And, the desserts offered were disappointing. My husband ordered the Maple Syrup Bread Pudding, and it was tasty. I was very much looking forward to a Paris-Brest, or a Mille Feuille (Napoleon), which are classic French pastries, and known as their signature desserts.

The food was tasty, tomatoes soup exceptional, ribeye steak was good, but lobster in Lobster roll was chewy. Sadly the lovely restaurant experience was ruined by one very noisy female guest, who never stopped talking in a shrill voice. Of course that was not the restaurants fault, but a negative none the less. The staff were excellent.

Service not great but food very good. I was given full cutlery but my wife was given none! Also I had white wine and was given a sample to taste. My wife had red and it was simply poured out without asking her to taste.

Chez Delmo is a dining experience not to be missed! The staff is top notch - relaxed yet very attentive to every detail. The bartender mixed a few great drinks to start our evening (the virgin mojito was awesome!). The food was delicious and expertly prepared. We enjoyed the lobster bisque, lobster roll and the scallops meunière. Highly recommend a visit to Chez Delmo!

We were looking for an established upscale restaurant with good fish/seafood options. Chez Delmo had these features. The food was delicious from start to finish. The only slight negative was the Dover Sole was a really small portion for the price. Very nice space - a little loud but not uncomfortably so. Our waiter was very nice and actually went out of his way to find out information on some maple syrup Used in a dish we had. It was a very busy night and we felt this was kind of him to do. We would revisit on any return trip.

We found the best Calamari in Montreal!!! Thanks to google AI and a little research, we went to Chez Delmo in Old Montreal!! WHAT A TREAT!! From the moment we walked in, throughout the extraordinary meal, to the end of the dessert, we were comfortable, well served and very happy with the quality of the meal and attentiveness of the servers. The atmosphere was friendly and warm. We will come again and highly recommend!!
