A very nice place for our Sunday brunch. Food was above average but we were really impressed by the outdoor environment and the hospitality of the staff!
Absolutely beautiful. Friendly bilingual staff. Amazing ambiance and food!
Kind professional staffing, interesting dishes-so fresh , true to their philosophy. A must in QC
We dined outside as it was a beautiful night. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about their wine list and the menu. The service and food were outstanding. We were celebrating our 30th anniversary and our waiter brought a treat for us. Would recommend Chez Muffy.
Very good food and service.
Such a lovely place. We told them our son was turning 10 and had requested to dine there. They brought him a beautiful mocktail, printed a bar of chocolate with happy birthday and generally treated him like a prince. He loved it! He is usually shy but understood they being extra nice to him and sort of basked in the attention. The food itself was just perfect. The mussels were prepared to perfection, the oysters were so fresh, the veal was outstanding and the vegetarian entree was the best preparation of veggies I can remember without being overly fatty carbs like in most places. Everything was clearly just picked, caught, harvested and was delicious. We will definitely have to travel back here!!
We were staying in the hotel for the weekend and visited Chez Muffy for Sunday brunch. The food was DELICIOUS and the service was AMAZING! The food quality was extremely high and the variety was great....plenty of selections..
Great restaurant, wonderful service. Only went for breakfast but it was really yummy! Wish I had time to return for dinner... next time!
While the location and ambiance are wonderful, the food and its value is a bit pumped up...
Gorgeous ambiance and lovely, gracious and professional server, Lucille! Cocktail and wine with local cheese and charcuterie platters, excellent! Salad was nice with fresh ingredients, but under seasoned and underdressed. Café au lait was outstanding! Beautiful lunch!
It was my husbands birthday and we carefully chose this restaurant. We are health conscious and consider ourselves food snobs. The portions were artful but TINY. The menu is extremely limited and much smaller than the one we reviewed on their website. The most outstanding part of the meal was the bread and we decided to go elsewhere for dessert. My husband only drank sparkling water and our bill was over $200.00 USD.
Excellent everything! A little pricey but well worth every penny.
One of the best meals I ever had. Gazpacho was inventive and amazing.
My wife and I had one of best meals of our life here. We had the six-course tasting menu and it was exquisite. So many creative and unique tastes. So delicious! I only gave it four stars for service because one of our servings was a thin slice of beef. Mine was great but my wife's piece was so full of fat she could not cut it. When we mentioned it to our waiter, he said he would mention it to the chef. We thought perhaps they would do something for us or give us a slight discount on our check. The tasting menu is very expensive at $120 per person. You would think that they would make sure that we were completely satisfied. The only thing we got was a comment by our waiter passing along feedback from the chef stating that they'll make sure it never happens again in the future. That's good for the future patrons but it's too bad that they couldn't step up and do something for us.
Although it’s a very nice restaurant and the meal was good, there are better options for the money spent.
Superb food and service. We could not recommend it more! Would definitely go back if visit Quebec again
All the foods are good, except omelette, which was too salty for us. Ambient and quiet atmospheres.overall, good!
The food is outstanding. The service, a little rushed. Not sure why as the place wasn’t fully occupied. Space is fun and seating well designed.
This was one of the best meals of my life, and one of the most expensive. But I’m not complaining. The food was perfection. We did the 4 course sharing and all the dishes were excellent in flavor and presentation. The asparagus dipped in cooked egg was inventive, the tartare was delicious, the lobster spaghetti was decadent and the best pasta I’ve ever had. Finishing with the berry eclair was the perfect ending, light but obviously not too light! The staff was also very friendly, helpful and attentive. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Lovely food. Small portions .
Delicious, creative, meticulously prepared and presented dishes. We were impressed with each component of our meal. Waitstaff was accommodating, knowledgeable, friendly. Overall wonderful experience. Pricey and worth it.
One of the best meals we have ever had. The food is so fresh and very flavourful. The property itself is very rich in history.
We really enjoyed our diner at Chez Muffy. This was a fine dining experience that was romantic and stimulated our conversation. The room is a beautiful, one of kind type environment. It's both open and airy, and yet somehow intimate. Very different from many of the smaller, more packed-in, bistro style restaurants spread throughout Quebec City. The food was wonderful as expected, but the dessert was a true show-stopper. My wife and I marveled over how they created a replica of a jumbo strawberry, which was really a sort of cake. Very fun and delicious. Great service as well.
This was a beautiful place for a special meal. Excellent dinner and ambiance. It was a memorable evening- very romantic! Thank you!
Wow!! We spent $400.00 and it was worth every penny! The chef was so innovative and the tasting menu was delicious and creative! Our server added to the meal and paced the meal perfectly!!! It is a must do in Quebec City!
Ambiance felt upscale French/ Québécois Cuisine and service were laudable -in true Relais and Chateau fashion A safe bet for a great meal in an enchanting city.
Un personnel jeune, dynamique, empressé et professionnel. Une cuisine précise, respectueuse des aliments, goûteuse tout en finesse. Le décor chaleureux et enveloppant.
Fabulous food, charming environment. Highly recommend this Quebecois delight.
What a delight this proved to be. A wonderful experience, and one we accidentally found. Also, I am a Keto girl - and they modified as needed.
Did tasting menu w wine pairing and was fun experience. some of the "tastings" not fabulous, but appreciate chef's effort in trying new things. wines were good, not great. with restaurant description of "view of St. Lawrence" expected view of St. Lawrence. View might be from upper level, but that level closed for private party. Lower had 2 high windows on river side but could not see river when seated. Fireplace for ambiance but did not take into account was unseasonably warm; asked to open window but could not as summer not official... at least they turned down fire as space was HOT and stuffy to point we almost decided to go elsewhere. Probably places just as nice with more ambiance. Very pricey.
The Arctic char was perfect! The accompanying morels in cream sauce were outstanding as were the fiddle head ferns sautéed in young garlic butter.
The bread was served with delicious pork terrine.
Great ambiance, beautiful decor. Food took forever and was cold when served. Not a wide choice on menu. Been there, done that, won’t go back.
An enjoyable evening of creative and delicious locally sourced food. We chose the tasting menu with pairings. The pairings were well chosen and excellently described by the sommelier. All staff were helpful, well trained and attentive. Great evening - as a $600 + ought to be!
Food, service, and experience were all seamlessly woven together. I can't remember the last time I had such a flavorful meal that it all the right spots.
Fantastic food and service. Friendly to English speakers.
Very special meal. Wonderful service, beautiful restaurant and yummy food.
We had a great time. Food was great along with lovely service. Thanks!
Very unique atmosphere and outstanding food. Dessert is just to die for!
