Chiapparelli's - Baltimore
The Italian Wedding Soup was not good. The bread was good but it would’ve been better served warm. The small salad that came with the entree was drowning in dressing. My boyfriend enjoyed his crab cakes and pasta. My ravioli was good. The wine was good. The tiramisu was good. Loved the ambience. We will be back and hopefully it will be better.
We came from Virginia to attend the Kelly Clarkson concert at Royal Farms Arena. And clearly there were several other tables of early diners before the concert. We had a 6 pm Open Table reservation and it took us a little while to get seated, but we ended up at a great window table for 2 in the very old, fun interior brick establishment. The wine pours were very generous. And the bread and salad were delicious but way too much! We both enjoyed the Trio of fettuccine Alfredo, eggplant/chicken Parmesan and lasagna (very light and not as yummy as the first two). Out waitress was older, VERY experienced and delightful. We would definitely go back the next time we’re in Baltimore. It’s totally worth the 15-20 minute walk to Little Italy to find good food over most of the not very good Inner Harbor restaurants. Highly recommend
Ida was great. Always a pleasure. Thanks
Excellent Italian meal - good wine list - great dessert!
Chiapparelli’s retains the ambiance of the Little Italy that was the 1960’s go-to neighborhood for average Baltimoreans wanting tasty food in large amounts at bargain prices. And just like then, if you go to this spot often enough, the veteran servers greet and treat you like family. Those good old days aren’t totally gone
Food is pretty good, salad is great and Helen a waitress is outstanding.
I would go out of my way to go to Chiapparelli's. I tell everyone I know who is planning a trip to Baltimore to check them out, and we now eat there whenever we're in town. It's the BEST!
We had eaten at Chiapparelli's a few times before. We wanted to meet some friends in Baltimore for dinner so we recommend Chiapparelli's. We drove down from New Jersey for dinner... It was worth the drive. Thanks, can't wait to come back.
The meal was great! Sadly, I bought a salad to go, because I love the dressing, and the server did not put the lid on tight. It ended up spilling in the car.
tHANK YOU SO MUCH FOR A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. We were a party of 13 and everything was perfect. We had a great time and everyone at Chiapparelli's was gracious and welcoming.
The food is always great. Ida is the best waitress. Drooling gnocchis was awesome
Excellent food and great service - will definitely eat at Chiaparelli's again.
Food was excellent and priced well. Wine was also priced reasonably. Salad and bread we also delicious!
Amazing food and service!! Best spot in Little Italy!!! And a must visit if you are in Baltimore. The bread, salad, pasta’s all superb!! And our waitress, Stacy, just made the evening great. She was fabulous!!
Favorite in Baltimore. Classic approach. Great ambiance and delicious old world food.
Did not like anything about this restaurant
Our wait was less than 15 minutes. The food is amazing as always and the staff is incredible. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation!!! You will not regret it.
Great food, fast service
Good food, great people, good value. Always love our visits here!
HELEN was our waitress and she was the Best!!! Very personable, very engaging. Every restaurant ought to have staff like Helen.
I can’t get enough of Chiapparelli’s in Little Italy of Baltimore. The food is amazing! The staff has been there for years and knows how to take care of their customers. In spite of a very busy Valentine’s Day crowd, my wife and I had a fantastic dinner. We started with the sausage and peppers appetizer, which is a throwback to bygone era. Before the meal arrived, we were given a basket of fresh bread and an enormous salad. I had the veal Piccata, and my wife had the chicken Marsala. Both exceeded our expectations. We closed this perfect dinner with the mostest perfect dessert, the tartufo, which is a ball of chocolate and vanilla ice cream with cinnamon and a cherry in the center and covered in chocolate. I love the food, the service and the atmosphere here. I can’t wait to return!
Excellent food! Great service
Had a wonderful meal at Chiapparelli’s tonight! It was quite busy, but we were seated promptly and our server was friendly and attentive. The food was very good—from the Chicken Marsala to the Shrimp Serio and Grandma’s Ravioli and Spaghetti with Meatballs. Of course the Chiapp’s salad is the biggest draw for us—we get cravings for it!
Great restaurant! Always eat here whenever I'm in Baltimore.
We Love the Food at Chips especially the salad and bread!! Its Delicious and you feel right at home.
everyone is so friendly. The service is wonderful and the staff has been there forever.
Always great food, service! Ida’s the best waitress!!
This was my 1st time dining at Chiaparellis.
We had a wonderful experience. The food, atmosphere and company made for a great evening. We'll be back again. Thank you.
As always, for a traditional Italian restaurant experience, Chip's is the place to go. The incredible salad asa starter, delicious food prepared as requested, portion size excellent and courteous, efficient service. Enjoyable.
If you are a Baltimore resident or visiting Baltimore, you owe it to yourself to visit and dine at Chiapparelli's. I have not eaten here in over ten years Yes-shame on me. It was not as good as I remembered; it was better. The food and service were great. We had a group of ten; Chiapparelli's didn't miss a beat on either food or service. Wine was superb and the warm cozy atmosphere is relaxed and just dang good. To me a true measure of any restaurant comes with the question "will you go back?? In Chiapparelli's case-absolutely.
Hostess was rude and had no interest in acknowledging our Open Table reservation. We have enjoyed this restaurant for many years.
Stopped eating here years ago. There was a decline in everything. Thought we’d give it a try after 8 years. Wow. Glad we did. Our old waitress Lisa was back and made the night fantastic. The food definitely back on track. Compliments to chef. Kept old dishes and added new. Will return to being a regular.
Food was good, 1st time back in years not quite as good as it was 10 years ok, but still tasty and good service
Food was mediocre. My daughter ordered ravioli and her dish was forgotten. She sat there with no food for a full 15 minutes after everyone else was served before this was remedied, in spite of us repeatedly asking where her food was. When her ravioli arrived, it was a mushy mess. Salads were a pile of iceberg lettuce coated in too much caesar dressing - no choice given. Bread was utterly uninteresting. Pasta did not taste like it was freshly made. Overall, it was a disappointment. Shrimp were cooked well, and we got a nice bottle of wine, on the positive side.
Enjoyable evening. Good food. Good service. Good company.
My wife and I went to Chiapparelli's with my son and his lady friend to celebrate our fourth anniversary. We took advantage of the valet parking. My son and his friend found parking nearby on the street. Little Italy often has available street parking.
We ordered the fried calimari appetizer for the table. It was a bit more chewy than is ideal, but it tasted good as did the marinara sauce that came with it.
I had eggplant parmesan. They were willing to substitute sautéed spinach with garlic for the spaghetti that usually comes with the eggplant parmesan. It was good. My wife had gnocchi which she said was very good.
My son had a veal parmesan which he liked, and his friend had spaghetti Alfredo. She liked it.
Three items came out incorrectly... waited 10+ minutes to get the pasta component of my meal after the rest of my table had been served. Waited almost 15 minutes for ketchup for my youngest child’s chicken tenders. Hostess/manager was rude to my wife when we arrived and rude to me when I brought up the errors with our meal.
Plenty of other options in this area.. this one has lost my attention.
The restaurant was very loud due to several families dining. My wife’s food was horrible. My dish was OK.
Not the same restaurant it was 20 years ago. The famous Chips salad used to have a wonderful garlicky parmesan dressing. There is no garlic in the dressing nowadays and the salad is now really bland. What a disappointing meal!
Not sure they understand the concept of reservations
Waited a full hour after reservation to be seated. Place was so packed you could hardly move. Food came out fast which seemed to be less quality due to the mass volume of people in the restaurant. This was Christmas Eve, but it was a total mess in there. Sloppy plates and not great quality food.
