Love this place. The food here is absolutely amazing! The prices area bit high but well worth it.ive been several times and have always had excellent food and service. I travel to Montreal for work monthly and always look forward to visiting. My only advise would be to male sure you book reservations as it is usually very busy and hard to get it or order take out.

We come to Montreal twice a year and we never knew of this place. We knew of Chez Benny is right next to this place but we never knew about this place that it’s a kosher place. The food is just phenomenal. It takes a little bit long to wait for the food But it’s worth it highly recommend it

I usually like Chyoko but this particular evening the service was very slow. The food ( 3 burgers and 1 steak) took 45 minutes to be ready. The burgers were to have onions and mushrooms, yet no mushrooms seen. The bun was not warm and the fries thin and dry. There was no cheesecake left for 8:30 dessert. The prices also higher at $35 for a burger and fries seemed excessive. The waitress was pleasant.

Beautiful terrasse, our server was excellent the food was served hot and really very good. The owner was there and was very friendly and took time to check on us. Overall a really nice experience.

everything tasted good but we did NOT expect to walk out with a $400 bill. we asked for the chef special and surprise! it’s $175!!! it was way too much food for 2 people, my husband ordered steak so they should’ve known better — and 2nd surprise!! forced 18% service charge. so fk this, never going back there , at least warn people these things - repeat customers keep business alive and we aren’t one of them. scam

Was visiting Montreal for the weekend and was taken to Chiyoko restaurant Sunday night for dinner by some old friends! What an amazing and enjoyable experience! Food taste, presentation and service by our waitress were all top notch!! In fact, I returned with my sister the next day who is strictly Kosher and she said that it was one of the best meals she has ever had. She had the glazed salmon and I had the Angus steak. Both cooked to perfection!! We both would definitely come back here if we come to Montreal again!! Wish they would open a location in Toronto!

Incredible food!! Intricate and unique dishes. Bold flavor. Tons of menu choices. We had the soups and they were delish! My husband had the chicken with noodles and veggies… like an upscale lo mein. And I had the most delicious miso black cod I ever ate! What an incredible meal, and the service was wonderful. They were very friendly and accommodating. Why dine anywhere else?

Food was very good. Came out Quick and cooked to order. Service was abysmal. The 18% “mandatory” gratuity was not deserved, the staff treated us poorly and acted as though every request was a burden on them, guess they dont need to put any effort into service when the tip is guaranteed. Such a shame. The waiter’s poor attitude ruined our night. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a pleasant night out because the staff will not give you that.

The food was ok. It was very expensive. However, the issue was that the service was extremely slow. We waited over 45 minutes to order. Thankfully I had great company so we entertained ourselves well, but we spent some time with a very growly stomach before receiving anything. On top of that, an 18% tip is automatically applied on the bill… had we wanted to tip less, it wouldn’t have been an option. I found this odd. The sushi was ok, fresh for sure but I’ve had better and more affordable sushi.

Birthday not even acknowledged by waiter We had to ask for napkins then fir forks and knives, etc. Nothing on the table and entrees were brought but nothing to eat with until we asked for forks. Dumplings with peanut butter sauce were hardly cooked. , more like cold rubber and we asked for more sauce which took another 10 mn At least the young man who said he was in charge because the boss was not there, said we would not be charged for that dish We then ordered a dessert for the birthday and I tea and a cup of plain hot water. At the end we were checked twice by looking at our cups to make sure we had only 1 teabag. So humiliating . I am going to try to save 4 $ for a tea bag?

We had a reservation at 7 pm and arrived within a few minutes of 7. We were seated and given water, then abandoned for 20 minutes or so without anyone coming to take our order. We tried unsuccessfully to get the attention of the waiter. Finally we got up to leave, none of the waitstaff came to see why were leaving, or to encourage us to stay. This was a terrible experience.

Le service était parfait, rapide et courtois. Les plats étaient assez bons disons 8/10. Ce n’est pas un endroit pour un souper tête à tête, c’est très bruyant. Les tables sont très rapprochées. Ce que je déplore c’est que des frais service de 18% sont automatiquement ajoutés sur la facture. Ce 18% est avant les taxes et je ne peux pas me plaindre du service mais c’est une question de principes, un pourboire est discrétionnaire et c’est le client qui décide du montant non pas le restaurateur. Je suis plus en accord avec une légère augmentation des prix et que le pourboire soit inclus dans l facture tel qu’en Europe et en Asie que de me faire imposer un montant directement sur la facture.
