We have been to CHOP's Richmond location many times and thought we would try the new Coal Harbour location. We were not disappointed. Spectacular view of Canada Place, attentive server and great food.

Service was good but could have been better if they had come back to ask how the food was. I had the mussels and it was cold and the sauce was like glook but since no one asked there was no opportunity for it to be fixed. Having said that the others at the table seemed satisfied with their meals. Also, once we said no to dessert it took forever to get our bills and we finally had to ask.

Everything was fine until we saw mice. Our server apologized and didn’t seem too phased which indicated to me that this has happened before. The table near us relocated as they were still eating. I get that it’s cold out and mice go where there’s warmth and food but I’ve never seen one actually in the place I’m dining. Some at my table weren’t upset by it but a couple of us definitely were. Too bad otherwise it’s a nice place with good food but can’t say I’d return.

Kind of disappointed with the food; it's not as good as it has been in the past. The ribs were pretty tough and dry, and other parties weren't really enjoying their food either. A small suggestion: besides needing to improve the taste of the food, it would be nice to provide complimentary bread and/or dessert for special occasions like birthdays, similar to many other high-end restaurants.

I had such a nice time celebrating my birthday with a few friends at Chop. They are so kind. The whole team gave my a signed card and appetizer to enjoy during my next visit and I got an amazing piece of cake. I have been to the restaurant a few times already and I will be back. Chop at Coal Harbour is absolutely beautiful in every way. Location is close to a parking spot and the food is cool right. Manager and owner Andy greeted us personally. Nice place to bring high end clients.

It was my mother birthday and following a recommendation and some good reviews, I selected this place for the first time! Manoel was the waiter and he was very nice and he provided us a good service, but going to the food, my mother ordered a filet Minion and I chose Smoked Rib Eye. My mother was happy with her Minion and my Soda Sangria was also tasted good, but when I started with my dish it was very salty(almost everything was salty, both fries, and topping) and there was not a real flavours except the smoke and I had the same experience with the three tops; bearnaise, Chimichurri, Peppercorn sauce. Not really professional! The texture of Ribeye has more than usual fatty streaks almost 1/3 of that was not eatable. Manoel, asked me about quality and when he noticed my dissatisfaction he even asked me to replace for a new one. Anyway I was enough tired and decided to continue with what I had. Then they provided a beautiful happy birthday Card to my mother with a gift for her next visit for an appetizer (she may go with someone but I won’t go there again), and then they brought a delicious crème brûlée! Nice presentation and warm happy birthday! but when manager later asked me about food quality and when I gave her my comments both for my mother satisfaction and my dissatisfaction, she instead of hearing my concern, mentioned it is the original taste and quality of Ribeye, and asked me the next time to try other type of steaks!! Not a professional answer for a low quality product! When she talked about next time, it was funny as already I told myself there is no other time when I can go to better quality in KEG, Gotham even in not professional Resturants such as Cactus Club, or whit-spots or earls! Again thanks for their happy birthday wishes and thanks for Manoel to hearing and being carfuls about customer concerns and watching for their satisfaction! I suggest something to Chop to improve itself! It may be a good idea they change position of server and manager! I

Prime rib and baked potato were tasty (fresh horseradish was great), wedge salad was just okay. Service was not good. Our food came before our first round of drinks. Our salad came at the same time as our meal. We asked for blue cheese and ranch on the side for the salad and got the blue cheese on the salad and a side of ranch ?? We would have ordered a glass of wine with our meals but since we didn’t get our first cocktail until after our meal, that didn’t happen. Our waiter didn’t bring our food but when he brought the cocktails, didn’t even ask how it was or if we needed anything, and then never saw him again until our meal was finished.

Had a great meal here.. The food was of a high standard and beautifully cooked and presented. They had a varied menu and a great selection of cocktails too. The staff were very friendly and our waiter Alex was brilliant. I would highly recommend this restaurant and I would recommend booking in advance

The Chop Restaurant is very good overall for food quality and food value. Pricing is reasonable and Wine & Liquor pricing also reasonable. I would recommend to to owners Not to raise their prices as they will see reduced customers visits then going to other restaurants in the area with better ambience.

The food, service and location was great. A takeaway for us was hearing the head-chef giving preparatory comments to the other chefs throughout the evening. This took some of the celebration ambiance away for the two of us. We understand the need for quality control for the food ordered and wish it could be done more inconspicuously. It’s like having a phone ringer at a recital. The staff were great otherwise.
