Prime rib and baked potato were tasty (fresh horseradish was great), wedge salad was just okay. Service was not good. Our food came before our first round of drinks. Our salad came at the same time as our meal. We asked for blue cheese and ranch on the side for the salad and got the blue cheese on the salad and a side of ranch ?? We would have ordered a glass of wine with our meals but since we didn’t get our first cocktail until after our meal, that didn’t happen. Our waiter didn’t bring our food but when he brought the cocktails, didn’t even ask how it was or if we needed anything, and then never saw him again until our meal was finished.

Had a great meal here.. The food was of a high standard and beautifully cooked and presented. They had a varied menu and a great selection of cocktails too. The staff were very friendly and our waiter Alex was brilliant. I would highly recommend this restaurant and I would recommend booking in advance

My blue cheese peppercorn tenderloin was outstanding! I highly recommend My friends flat iron steak was just ok. The service was great and I love the restaurant, unfortunately we were seated across from the kitchen, so it was a bit noisy.

The Chop Restaurant is very good overall for food quality and food value. Pricing is reasonable and Wine & Liquor pricing also reasonable. I would recommend to to owners Not to raise their prices as they will see reduced customers visits then going to other restaurants in the area with better ambience.

This is my third time here, and not once has it disappointed me. There's always a warm welcome when I arrive, and Alexia's service is amazing as usual. The steaks are always cooked perfectly, and there are good wine selections.

The food, service and location was great. A takeaway for us was hearing the head-chef giving preparatory comments to the other chefs throughout the evening. This took some of the celebration ambiance away for the two of us. We understand the need for quality control for the food ordered and wish it could be done more inconspicuously. It’s like having a phone ringer at a recital. The staff were great otherwise.

Excellent steaks, awesome sides and good variety of dishes. Service is awesome too - its not so intrusive as it used to be in most other places but attentive and caring. Location is awesome too - nice view on Canada Place. A perfect and awesome experience to us. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our meal which was a 32 oz rib eye shared by two people. We also had the crab cakes as an appetizer which came just after our mains (!). The server was very apologetic and totally owned that though so life’s not perfect:). The crab cakes were good! We also had the sides of gnocchi and the veggies were purple carrots. Both very good. We ordered our meat medium rare and it was closer to rare (bright white connective tissue and the meat was a bit chewy for rib eye). Nevertheless, I’m ok with meat on the rarer side and we ate it all :)

Seems to be communication breakdown. Came here the first time when they just opened and everything was great. Obviously it was new and everything was at par. On this reservation, came to celebrate a birthday and well it was underwhelming. No effort what so ever. No inquiry on what we were there for beside to dine. Couldn’t be bothered or even tried. Disappointing. Good great. Everything else meh.

Greeted by a wonderful host at the front. Had a lovely server Alissia maybe, an Italian gal... she knew her food and was very fun and personable. Brought my hubby a small piece of cake AND a birthday card signed by staff members as it was his birthday! THANK YOU for going above and beyond. It really is the little things that set you apart from so many other steak houses, and this was just one of them. We'll be back.

Food was good. Steaks ordered medium rare came out perfectly cooked. Service was not good. Appetizers were slow in coming then the mains were brought before we were finished with the appetizers. The glasses of wine we ordered to go with our main courses were not delivered until after we were finished.

My boyfriend and I will never go there again, and we do not recommend this restaurant location to anyone. Their service was sub-par, and the coffee they brought to the table was filled up halfway, not fresh and was also cold. After being seated, we were not given water or menus for over 15 minutes, and waited another 10 minutes to order. The waitstaff also said they were brewing fresh coffee, one would think that after 25 minutes, a fresh cup of coffee would have made its way over to replace the initial one. After 25 minutes, and discovering the cold coffee, we decided to cancel our food order. I had two sips of my wine, and they still charged us for it. When we have feedback to the waitstaff, we were told,”Yeah, we’re super busy and backed up. Sorry.” We went around the corner to Cactus Club and weren’t disappointed there. If there was a way to give 0 stars, I would.

There must be better steakhouses in Vancouver. Disappointing experience overall. We were told as we were being seated that they had an excellent table for us. Nope. Seated right next to the kitchen and while we had a view of the water we were continually bombarded with the chef yelling orders and plates clashing. First round came out on time and then we waited for our steaks which while good were not excellent as my NY strip was overcooked. The manager came by to explain while we were waiting that they had 2 large parties and that was backing up the kitchen but made no offer of any compensation for our wait time. Definitely will not be back and would not recommend.
