Went to Chop for the first time to celebrate an anniversary and it was a great experience. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly, but what really stood out was the service. The service was above and beyond. Our server Sheri was absolutely delightful. It was obvious she knew what she was doing. She helped us with our choices and was able to answer any questions we had about the menu. At the end of the night she even took our photo for us and gave us a card for our anniversary. Overall it was a great night and we’re looking forward to coming back again.

It was our 50th anniversary. The staff welcomed us mentioning it was our anniversary and congratulated us. Our server Francisco was over the top excellent. He greeted us at our table and congratulated us on our anniversary. He later appeared and said an anniversary is not complete without bubbles and presented us with a champagne flute with Prosecco. He was incredibly attentive during the dining experience. When our main course was finished he came to our table and said the surprises are not over. He asked us our preference for dessert and when he returned he presented our dessert with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate syrup on the plate. He made our anniversary dining experience a very pleasant and memorable event. Thank you Francisco - you are without a doubt the best server we have enjoyed and we eat out a great deal. A true professional. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Wanted to love it, but for the price & the overall experience I would rather go to one of the nearby steakhouses who do it exponentially better. Needs a ton of work.

Food was amazing. Prime rib cooked to perfection. Top sirloin delicious. Shrimp linguine was excellent and filling. One vegetarian in our group and there was a variety of vegetarian options - tofu avocado bowl was very good. The Charity bread and whipped butter was excellent - baked fresh on order. Dessert trio - outstanding. Highly recommend and will visit again!

Made reservation, but it wasn't needed as we were the ONLY patrons there at 1:00PM on Sunday. Server, 'Austin' was friendly, efficient and went well beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Also made several excellent recommendations to our party. Full marks for his excellent service.

Went to the restaurant prior to attending the Nova Scotia Tattoo. Was seated immediately and waitress was attentive and friendly. The meals ( flat iron steaks) was as expected. The onion ring appetizer was great. My only disappointment was that we both ordered soft drinks at over $4 per glass and when asked if we wanted refills we said yes and were charged for the refill. There is a difference between refill ( no charge inferred ) and would you like to order another ( inferring charged)

This place is our go to Love my Artisan Greens salad with chicken breast cooked to perfection ♥️ Hubby goes for PRIM RIB which I steal a piece sooooo delish !! Try the mash as a side you won’t be disappointed. Michelle was our server she’s excellent at her job …. Tks for everything you do ! Bravo to the Staff at THE CHOP 🥂

Good ambiance but the food is meh! Server is excellent and very accommodating but serving time is quite a wait. Our food was served after 40-45 mins, which is the same as when you order for delivery.

Good was horrible. Chowder was cold thick and poor. Ordered the fillet. How do you screw up a medium rare fillet. Well they did it was medium rare in the centre only the outside was burned and tough and chewy Food came fast as if it was pre cooked. Value was terrible Service adequate but at no point did any one ask how it was. I left half the chowder and it stayed in the table till the steak was taken away. Never asked was everything ok. Would not go back. I’ve NEVER left a bad review before anywhere.

The food and service were both fantastic, took my dad for Father’s Day breakfast and everything was delicious. There were 4 of us, we all ordered different things and we were all very happy with our food. Will definitely go back!

Had an amazing experience!! The food was so delicious and worth every bite. The trio dessert was the perfect end to the meal. Our waitress was wonderful, she offered great recommendations and checked in with us often. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Our food was outstanding. The steaks were cooked and seasoned to perfection. That had to be the best steak I have ever had. Mackenzie, our server, with Sarah, was excellent. She took care of us vey well and was genuinely concerned about or food and that it was done properly. Can say enough about our experience.

We Celebrated a Birthday at the Chop last night what a wonderful place ! From the service “folks … this staff is exceptional going out of their to make sure all are well taken care of” Some of us had the prime rib …done to perfection and my artisan green salad with lime dressing & Chicken breast ! Yum Yum ! Our waiter was the one & only Fransisco he is on spot with everything ! Despite me reserving a table on the patio 2 days before, no one was ready to receive our party of 5 and our table was not set - we had to move chairs from 4 seats to a table for 5. 4 different servers approached our table before finally having our server take our food order - the tablet would not work so our order was taken on paper. That would not have been an issue except 3 of the 5 meals weren't what we ordered. 2 were completely different meals and the 3rd didn't have cauliflower rice as described on the menu. Love the location of the restaurant near our office, but not the best impression with preparation to receive us and food mix up. Overall the servers were lovely and very hospitable and we certainly wouldn't discount our experience to not return again.

Our first time going there and we liked the ambiance and the food was delicious. Servers were nice but I think there was some training going on as it was spotty at times eg. Empty beer bottle at edge of table wasn’t removed for the entire time we were there after I outed the drink) but overall was a good experience.

It was our first visit there - loved the place. Very lavish and felt very special as we celebrated our Anniversary. The prime rib could not have been any better - best ever! Honestly we were very excited for this dinner. Very disappointed. The service was slow aswell as once we got our food the server never came back to check how it was or if we needed anything else. My steak was suppose to be cooked medium and it came out closer to well done . I couldn’t have it corrected due to no one coming back and I did not enjoy it. We weren’t offered more drinks untill after our meals were done. I was very very disappointed.

Overall, pretty good experience. However upon booking the reservation, it had asked what the occasion was. And it was for a birthday/first official date. So it was kind of a special dinner. And not once was it acknowledged, verbally or complimentary dessert like most establishments. So...what's the point in asking for this information, if nothing is done with it. So for that reason, the evening wasn't exactly what was expected.
