   Sat down on time, waited 10 minutes for a drink order and then we were told there was no clamato for caesars and no Gibson's Whiskey.... Drinks arrived and were wrong. Ordered appies and within 4 minutes they were on the table so we all knew they were under a light being kept warm and not made to order. The steak was good, the lobster was pretty small ( shrimp size ) for the price and was thoroughly cooked. The waiter kept trying to take our plates and we weren't done eating yet. That was annoying. When I booked the table it asked for the occasion. I said anniversary. No mention of that, no free drink or dessert.....nothing. Ambience was nice, not too loud, comfy seats. Would I go back? Maybe, probably take some convincing.

   Disappointed when my wife and I ordered the same steak, and mine comes out smaller than hers and not thicker to make up for it. For $180 I would have expected better.

   I love the place but we went specifically for happy hour steak bites and they were sold out. The server just said sorry and I thought that she would maybe offer some sort of deal on something else or comp something small but no luck. It’s the first time I’ve ever eaten a $45 steak at 5 PM.

    A lovely meal once again but for the second time that we have been there our waitress was sub-par. When you are paying top dollar for a meal, the staff should be trained to be top too. Our waitress didn’t even ask us if we wanted a second drink even though we were there for an hour and a half. They have a very young staff so maybe inexperience.

    Overall a good experience. Just a couple of concerns. It took awhile for us to get served for drink orders. About 15 minutes. Service was good. A couple people in our group were quite ill afterwards. We had the steak bites, crab cakes for appetizers For the main course, we had the prime rib, chicken and steaks. Would recommend to family and friends but just the feeling ill after is worrisome. The people that had the steaks as a main course were the ones that got sick.

    We went here last night with another couple and celebrated my birthday. They were very attentive, helped pick out drinks for everyone. Appetizers and main meals for everyone were delicious and hot upon arrival. They even gave us a decent sized birthday cake free for my birthday and a coupon for a free steak bites for our next visit- which we are already planning!

    We have dined in both restaurant and bar. We enjoy ordering 3 or 4 appetizers in the bar and usually eat there when time is more limited or we have early evening plans. We already decided the next visit will be to the restaurant. Danika was efficient and friendly from her first visit to our table to the finish.

    You can never go wrong with Chop! Hands down the best steak house in Saskatoon. From ambiance to service to food quality and taste it’s really incomparable. Their staff is well trained to make each person feel special. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or just have a great meal this place is for you. They’re a steak house for that main reason, it’s because they make steak really good. I had a New York Center strip and my hubby always gets prime rib and they have maintained the taste and quality since they opened here. The sides are tasty also and their crab cakes are one of my favourite appies. Please make sure you get a dessert while you’re at it! Flourless chocolate cake is to die for and the crème brûlée!!!! I’m very enthusiastic about this place because every time I go there it does not disappoint. Big thumbs up to the staff and management. More blessings to you each and the business.

    My wife and I enjoyed the stay and dine. Prime rub mushroom soup was great. Both of us enjoyed prime rib with a glass of wine. Small cheese cake for dessert. Server Teneal was attentive and fun and friendly. Excellent night out

    My sirloin was ordered medium well and it was so burnt on the outside and overly dry on the inside. The vegetable portion was very small and my side gravy was forgotten twice. We had asked for a more private booth for our 5pm reservation and upon getting there a walk in in-front of us got the booth we wanted (host confirmed it).. the booth we had a just fine however a very large (about 10ppl) and obnoxious group was sat right across front us. We couldn't hear our own conversation with each other. We used to love Chop, we came 2-3 times a month but it seems to really disappoint the last handful of times we've been.

    Excellent meal . We had steak bites, tempura vegetables and steak frites with peppercorn sauce and pineapple upside down cake for dessert, all fantastic! I recommend going for the great meals, service, low key atmosphere with nice ambience. Service is always top notch . I go here all the time!
