This was our fifth time dining at the Chop Steakhouse. Each time we return the food and service always seem to improve. Living in St. Paul we try to make a reservation because of a special occasion and the Chop Steakhouse has met our expectations each time. WE WILL BE BACK

It was our 1st time at this restaurant, we were welcomed by a very friendly hostess and we’re seated promptly. Alyssa was our server and was very pleasant and attentive. We received a complimentary appetizer as new customers (mushroom goat cheese crustini with truffles which was very tasty). because it was my hubby’s bday, he received a complimentary dessert. Very thoughtful and added to our experience. The reason for the 4 star rating is as follows. The crab cake appetizer was excellent and we loved the dressing on the arugula salad that accompanied the crab cakes. The fillet minion was underdone, more rare than medium. My cod was rubbery and lacked salt. Small portion of vegetables (very blackened carrots and zucchini). The tarragon cream sauce and rice pilaf was excellent that accompanied the cod. Overall it was a great dining experience!

Had the pleasure of having Alyssa as our server. She was absolutely incredible and made our dinner experience one to remember. Kind, energetic, thoughtful and punctual service throughout our entire evening. The wife and I were celebrating; Alyssa even topped off the great dinner with a complimentary dessert. We are so thankful and can’t wait to visit Chop again in the near future.

I always love coming to chop steakhouse! Always go for the filet with blue cheese topper. This time, I had their summer salad to start which was amazing! Our server, Mary, was so sweet and we will request her section next time.

Kitchen was in the weeds, we order right away and it took over an hour for our main course to come out appetizers and soup came quick and we very good. But the kitchen was not up to being slammed they way they were with a large party

Hi there, to begin, I have never sent food back. Last night was the first time that I thought about speaking with a manager - which is on me. We have been going to Chop since it opened and have been pleased. We were in the lounge and I ordered the steak/8 oz flat cut and asked to substitute my side with a starter salad. Totally okay with the upcharge - though to be fair, if I'm not having a potato etc, why wouldn't the salad substitute equally. My meal came and it was 5 pieces of steak alone on a plate. No veggies. No nothing. And I paid extra. Guess we'll be crossing the street to the Keg from now on. Never. Again.

We had Kailee as our server in the lounge tonight and she was fantastic. She had great suggestions and was super attentive and the food as always was super tasty! They have a few new menu items and we tried their new corn ribs and I will definitely be back for these! Great time all around!

Chop is one of our favourite steakhouses. Unfortunately they overcooked my steak (asked for Medium and received well). Though they offered to redo didn’t want to waste the meat nor wait they extra time. They did comp a drink for me, which was great but I would have preferred the steak done right.

Excellent menu with a variety of options. Food was as expected from previous visits and very tasty. We ate on the patio which is nicely decorated with planters and tables spaced enough for privacy. Service was fine, albeit inexperienced and only complaint was there was a significant delay between appetizers finishing and main course being served. It would have been nice for server to keep us informed of the delay rather than ignoring it. Overall the decor and food were great and recommended for a nice dinner out.
