Service was so bad it took her soo long to take our order and ordered an espresso martini that came AFTER everyone had their coffee. Server seemed disinterested in serving us and never even introduced herself

I’ve been a chop customer all across western Canada and now thankfully in the GTA. What is unique to chop is their Alberta beef sold in all their stores across the nation. What is also unique is their consistency. I have never had to send a steak back because it was improperly cooked (unlike the keg). The flavour of every menu item is always perfection in my experience so they have mastered consistency and that is special these days. Service, always excellent and consistent as well. Out server was friendly and attentive. The Chop is head and shoulders above the rest of the steakhouses in and around the GTA. I can’t be positive enough with respect to Chop.

Unfortunately are food was not consistent.. we had ordered the top sirloin steaks and they came inconsistent in size one looked like a small ball and the other was flat like. They were also over cooked instead of medium they were over done. We sent back the one medallion looking one because it wasn’t at all what we expected and the manager came over and proceeded to give us a lesson on how the steaks are by weight and different cuts. Some of us were eating at the time and she interrupted are dinner to explain. We proceeded to let her know this was our first time here and that it would probably be our last. Our expectations were that the steaks would be like the Keg and that wasn’t the case. The server was great and the rest of the appetizers and desserts were good, but unfortunately our mains if getting the top sirloin forget it. The decor of the restaurant is beautiful and noise level a bit too high. We don’t see ourselves going here again for steak.

Food was good but when it came down to the servicer I wasn’t that happy. I was the party holder and no one once came to me about service etc probably wouldn’t have a party here again. Plus the servicer was making such a big deal over where people were sitting, telling the guests to move down when that didn’t even matter at the end of the day. Let us has quest sit where ever we please and the servicer figure out from there. Don’t make it a big deal for a birthday celebration. Won’t come back for anything important but regular dinner.

We came for a birthday celebration which we noted on the reservation but it was not acknowledged. The food was not as good this time - our prime rib was super salty. Another m thing that made this experience disappointing was that there was a very large party of at least 20 people, including small children sitting in our area. The kids (at least 4-5) were very loud, running around back/forth throughout the entire time we were there and there were even a couple of the adults who chased the children around!! It was not only noisy & distracting but dangerous as they almost ran into the servers who were carrying drinks and food. I understand that it is not the restaurant’s responsibility to control the children from making excessive noise nor running around however they could have addressed this with the party involved as it caused the other patrons an unpleasant experience.

What an amazing guys’ night out! Our server, Dolly, and the Chop team were simply fantastic. Dolly went above and beyond to make our dinner a memorable experience, frequently checking in on us and making us feel at home. The food was superb, as always: my prime rib and my friends’ steaks were grilled to perfection, and the veggie sides were bursting with flavour. You also can’t go wrong with their cappuccino and crème brûlée. We’ll be back soon!

The service was great. However, the lighting could be a bit better by the bar seating. I found the side for the dish were small amount. One of our guest also complained the the burger was wet and crumbling. The menu also did not list the toppings for the chop burger. Luckily the service was great or the rating would have been worst.

I have no words to describe how good my service was. As of today first time there, Food amazing 100% recommended We got the New York steak with mushed potatoes and I can tell you that is the best steak I’ve ever had. I was a little surprised that the staff did not ask if my family were visiting for a special occasion (it had been marked in my OpenTable reservation as a birthday but it never came up at any point in the evening), visiting for the first time, or ask if any of us had questions about the menu. Perhaps I've come to expect that from similar restaurants but it caught my attention due to its absence. My family and I agreed that the service was professional but perhaps a bit more clinical than we might've expected. The food was great and brought out at appropriate times. Overall, it was a positive experience but not what I was expecting based on various Google user reviews.

We went for my wife’s birthday and we decided to try Chop for the first time and the staff was amazing and made us feel welcomed, my wife was especially surprised when she received a birthday card it was a wonderful surprise, the food and drinks were great the outdoor patio was a nice treat the way it’s setup overall we had a great time and are looking forward to coming back again😃

Great crab cakes and the filet mignon was good. The rib steak was poor quality meat for the price and the rice pilaf was indedible. Service spotty (took forks after appetizer course and then forgot to come back, water wasnt refilled until 3/4 through the meal). The patio is nice when the weather is good. Probably would look to another place if I was going for steak.

Hi there! I've eaten at this location many times and love the patio experience! However, yesterday, the service was really disjointed/disorganized, and I was a bit disappointed as we were celebrating my mom's birthday (it was her first time dining here). We had to remind the server to bring cutlery, plates for sharing appetizers, to take our order for main dishes, to clear the empty plates from the appetizers, to bring napkins, etc. and had a few servers assisting us at various points. Also, the booth we were sitting at was not clean when we sat down and had food/crumbs/stains on the seats. My order was also taken incorrectly, with the incorrect side presented (the server corrected this, but had to wait additional time for correct side to arrive). The food was fresh and tasty. Overall, it was not the best experience at this location from a service perspective. Thank you!

Excellent restaurant for steaks. The dining area and large bar area are really elegant. The outdoor patio is pretty much as nice as any restaurant. Steaks and sides were made perfectly and very tasty. Highly recommend.
