   Best steak dinner I've ever had. The Cowboy Mash potatoes were HEAVEN!! Casey was an amazing server and made the BEST caesar salad, tableside! Wish we lived closer.

   The steaks were so tough we were unable to cut through them. The waitress said it was because I had asked for mine well done, but my daughters steak was so rare it wasn’t even cooked. The waitress messed up on our drinks as well and I got charged a ridiculous amount for a glass of wine I didn’t order. Probably one of the worst meals I have ever had. This place used to be so good and now it’s just expensive. Go somewhere else. It was horrible!!

   Best steak I’ve had. Great menu and great location. Sweet roof top patio. The sides were also very amazing. Staff is amazingly helpful and friendly. Don’t miss this stop when In Banff.

   Food is delicious and I would give a five star for overall but service part is lack a bit. The only thing I want to point it out is our server. When she came and collected our finished plates, instead of she picking up the two pieces of cucumbers left on the table she asked us to pick them up. I still paid a decent tip for her but i don’t like this. Not being bossy but I will appreciate if our server picks up the stuff on the table for us instead of us doing ourselves.

    We ordered a tomahawk 40lb steak. We thought it will be good for 3 adults and 1 kid but it’s not enough. Maybe we were hungry, lol! It was really good but could use a little more salt and pepper. It was served a little warm but could be better if they placed it in a really hot plate to keep it warm the entire time. The ambience was good, it was a little busy when we got there and the hallway is tiny to walk around. The servers were amazing! Overall it was really good and will definitely come back!

    Food was amazing, and great service. At first the restaurant was 1 third full and the ambianve was great, but nearing the end of our meal the place got full and the noise was defening, it reminded me of a club, I could barely hear my friend and felt like I had to speak bery loadly to get heard.

    We took the Taste of Alberta family platter. It was delicious and more than enough for 2 people. We also ordered a side order of mushroom which was excellent. The crème brulée is a must try!!! The caesar salad with white anchovie was super good. Service was outstanding!! Highly recommend this resto.

    We had the following items: - Garden salad and Beef Dumplings as appetizers (the dumplings were a bit dry but the salad was really good). - Surf & Ranch with the cowboy mash and mushrooms (everything was SO good, especially the ribeye. The butter for the lobster and crab was too salty but everything else tasted amazing). - Mud pie and Apple Crumble for dessert (these were put of this world). Service by Amelia was outstanding - she was very friendly and I don’t think my glass of water was ever empty! Thank you for having us!

    I feel bad as I can not remember the gentleman’s name who served us. He was outstanding in energy and service. Clearly loved his job. This is an amazing venue and the food is incredible. Yes expensive but when it’s this good it doesn’t really matter. Clever menu allowing for sharing and variety. We will be back! Thank you to the chef and server. Made our evening a joy.

    What an incredible dining experience! We visited from Victoria for our 10 year wedding anniversary. I looked up reviews, and Chuck’s Steakhouse is absolutely outstanding! The ambience and decor were impeccable, the food was 5 star, and the staff were friendly, prompt and went above and beyond!

    Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! Food is next level. I have never had a better steak. Flavours are wonderful and pair well with everything. Very well thought out and executed menu. The wine was so smooth. Dessert was perfect. The service was phenomenal! This is the third time I have been here and it never disappoints. Every time I come to Banff, Chucks is always on the menu!

    I was not as impressed as previous visits here, I felt our benchmark steak of the taste of alberta dish was over done. The wagyu was fantastic though. The dining room was loud so I'd recommend reserving later for a quieter crowd. I had made my reservation early in the week and we were seated poorly, should have been put in a better spot. The Ceasar salad cart is annoying, I think they need to be more mindful navigating that thing around the restaurant. Overall not impressed this time around. I'd recommend avoiding the taste of alberta dish for 2 people because the steaks will get cold too fast, which is why you should consider like an 8 oz cut, it will be much better for the price you're paying. Server was friendly but a bit sloppy sometimes, splashing water at us and nearly tipping the lobster of the plate. Lastly, their machines for payment don't work, this really bothers me when I'm done enjoying a nice meal, especially an expensive one, comes time to pay and it doesn't work, not once but 2 or 3 times where they need to switch out their machine siting they are finicky, so if they're finicky, you should fix that. The patrons are spending a lot of money to eat here and a smooth payment process would benefit the overall experience, may come back in the future for an occasion but I will be asking for better seating if I reserve in advance and avoiding the platter.

    We ate at Chuck’s two nights in a row and it was spectacular! The first night, we just had snacks. The beef tartare and the warm Brussels sprouts were really tasty. Our server, Tommy, was amazing. Super friendly and chatty and made our visit really enjoyable. The second night, we shared a ribeye, broccolini, and mashed potatoes, and for dessert, we had the crème brûlée. Everything was delicious! Possibly the best steak I’ve ever had. Our server was Cam and he was excellent. Overall, I give this place 2 enthusiastic thumbs up. Can’t wait to go back when I return to Banff.

    Amazing steak and nice atmosphere to people watch from upstairs! We ordered the taste of Alberta sharing platter - the waygu was by far our favorite, but they were all delicious. The sides of potato gratin and broccolini were equally as delicious. We would absolutely return.

    This was our first time here. The food was very good, especially the sides of broccolini, baked potato, and mushrooms. The steaks were good and cooked properly, but for the price we expected better than we experienced. Our table was on a corner of the main aisle with people walking around us the whole time. Our water glasses were filled when we arrived, and then not again until we were handed dessert menus. There was no bread or starter salad with our meal, so the wait from when we ordered until our meals came seemed much longer than it actually was. I admit we are fans of the Keg and compare all other steak houses we try to the Keg restaurants. We have eaten at Kegs in many cities in several provinces and the experience is essentially the same each and every time. We spent more for our dinner here and, in our opinion, did not get the same quality of service, ambience, or food that we are used to. Just us, but we will not be back.

    First time there and the food was delicious, the set up was good and we enjoyed our evening. The only thing I’d mention is that the service was a bit slow. While the server was knowledgeable and helped us select family style pieces, it just took too long for the food to come. We started just before 7pm and finished at like 10:10pm.

    It’s understandable that when the views are stunning, your experience tends to be more about your feelings rather than your taste. We had extremely high hopes for Chuck’s as we are steak lovers. But we left extremely disappointed and felt that most people leaving raving reviews about the meat either were swayed by the mountains or they doused their steaks with the many sauce choices. Our ribeye arrived cold, tasteless and gummy. It was supposed to be the highlight of our day, but we left discontented and disgusted. No meat in any proper restaurant should arrive looking, tasting and smelling like that.
