    Chula is one of our favourite spots to gather with friends. Food is excellent! Guacamole: one of the best I’ve had Chorizo nachos: dreamt of the last night. (Ordered without the chorizo) Street corn: if you only go for this, it’s worth it! Shrimp tacos: staple, order every time Pork belly tacos: pretty sure one of our friends moaned while eating it, highly recommend if you eat meat. Churros: massive dessert, perfect for sharing. Cream brûlée is not the best. Tip: they keep the place a bit cool so dress with an added layer you can take off if preferred. Summer patio is on point and the overall atmosphere is amazing, low key chill vibes. Reserve early.

    Under staffed which is most likely not their fault. Portion sizes have decreased a lot and ended up having to order extra. Really disappointed at the portion size for the mains. One super grumpy waitstaff and watery margarita really kinda ruined the birthday night for me. Again, I think the team was slammed by a huge party upstairs and not enough wait or bar staff, not their fault. Will return in the summer when the patio is open and hopefully more staff on hand.

    Overall, everything was good but checking in the hostess was very neutral - no positive energy, bubbly personality or excitement. After being seated, we also waited a good 10-15 min at our table for someone to come and start engaging with us… bring waters, take our order, this was disappointing and we were just considering leaving but then someone finally came. Other than this, the experience was great after that… our waitress had great energy, very friendly. We had multiple people checking in, bringing food, drinks, taking plates away. Even the owner came by too. Food was very flavourful, fresh, warm. Service was a good pace. Loved the little complimentary deep fried cheese at the beginning. Definitely a nice touch and goes a long way. Given it was valentines, recommend for events or important days, throw in something like a complimentary dessert or drink, and maybe have some decor, maybe music…. In the past went to other restaurants and they were alot better with that aspect. Overall definitely coming back for the food.

    The Restaurant was super busy, there were only 2 servers for the whole place but they were absolutely amazing, taking all the orders and making all the drinks, they were super friendly and the food was amazing. Will definitely be going back to Chula and recommending it to friends and family.

    The highlight of our dinner was the Ahi Tuna Tartare, flavorful composition. The tacos were ok as they missed the flavor punch to them, the portions were pretty large hence value for money. The cocktail was sweeter to our liking, could be made better. The service was great !!! Overall would rate the place 3.8/5, definitely not a 4.6 for the food offered

    Food was great! The tacos at Chula are fantastic but the tuna tartare was incredible! My only complaint was that we were seated in the upstairs dining room and it was freezing! Next time I’ll request the main floor dining room

    Menu on line wasn’t updated- was told twice- Friday- busy night- need your table by 7:30- no menu substitutions- again busy night. Felt incredibly rushed- hurried- to finish and leave….Definitely did not feel like I could linger and enjoy an evening out.

    Keep in mind I was expecting a lot based on the reviews. The service was good. The people were friendly. The downfall is the food. The shrimp ceviche was just cooked shrimp marinated in something citrus, it tasted one dimensional. The pork taco was dry and tough. The highlight of the meal was the churro sundae. I wouldn’t come back again unless I’m craving the churro sundae.

    The worst customer service. As soon as we arrived, the host told us that we have to stay until 8pm because they had a lot of reservations. We had an hour to eat and enjoy our date. The server was in a hurry when she served the plates and she forgot my beverage. The place in the second floor was very cold. We had a bad experience, we will never come back.

    The food was delicious but their seating rules are rushed and meant our evening had to end earlier than necessary. They only allow diners to sit at the table for 90 minutes. With four people, appetizers and mains this meant either no dessert or just hoovering it. They need a better seating policy because an hour and a half just ain’t it!

    The food and drinks are consistently good here. The service was pretty quick and impressively so given they were short staffed. My only (and significant) note is the person serving us kept putting their finger into our plates/food when serving us so they definitely touched our food. And they grabbed every glass they served us by the rim of the glass or cup. Felt unsanitary and kind of dampened the experience.
