General theme of service, slow and inadequate. We had reservations but had to wait five minutes to be seated even with three open tables. Once seated by the first host, a server came by asking if we had reservations. It took 15 minutes before our actual server offered us a menus, and another 5 minutes for us to get water. We placed our orders which took about 30 minutes for the food to arrive. During the wait while passing the bathroom, my son observed kids menu posted on the wall; I was surprised we weren't offered kids menu (with an eight year old and six year old). When I asked our server, she blamed the host(s) for not providing that - even though she took our orders - and when I asked if my kids can choose from the kids' menu since they didn't really want the adult items, it was already too late. Within the trip to the bathroom, another server stomped out of the kitchen and the door was within a foot away from me and my son as a near miss and dangerous; she marched on right in front of our face with her tray of food, I guess we need our patience and agility needs to be tested in this establishment. After a long wait time, we were hungry and food flavorful but each dish was consistently salty. We will not be returning.

Food and service was great. Kid size pizza was the size of a regular pizza. Appetizers, pizzas and pasta were good for sharing. Steak was excellent. We will be back again.

Food was really good. For a GF pizza it was awesome. Our server entered in the wrong item for one meals but the correct item came out quickly and he gave us a drink on the house. Overall really good and we will be back.

Food was (as always) very good. Service was poor. The server was available and talking to other servers or friends that had come in. It was a slow night to be sure and we just figure she must be new as we kept having to wave her down. Water came quick and she did ask how the food was. Outside of that everything else was a bit disappointing on the service side.

Cibo is like old faithful. Food, drinks, and service is always good. If something does not taste right, they are alway quick to make it good. Also, good as an Adult evening out and very family friendly!

Cibo is our go to place for a dinner out. Great food and great service at reasonable prices. Pizza is particularly good - not soggy like other places when you get it home from take out. It is not on the 'cool' list for Calgary restaurants and is a little out of the way which makes space often available on weekend nights when you can't get in to more bougie places.

The service was excellent, but there are a couple of things that bothered us. First is that the carbonara was okay, but it was more like Mac and cheese than a carbonara (also looked like Mac and cheese). Secondly, the constant flow of Skip The Dishes or Door Dash drivers that are going through the main restaurant really detracts from the experience. Especially as you watch some of these individuals swinging the bags around and just about take out a fellow customer. Though it could be entertaining for some I think it is rather dangerous and really not that appealing. They really should be going through the back door. I would add that the prices are still good and we did enjoy the meal. It just wasn’t up to the standard that we appreciate, especially with the constant flow of delivery drivers.

My friend ordered the risotto and I had the seafood linguine (fruite de mare) and we both really enjoyed the flavour of our meals. Cibo has a fun atmosphere, yet still allows for a conversation at a regular volume. I would come back here 👍🏼

Total deception. This is the second time we go to this restaurant for my wife's birthday . We wanted to give the restaurant a second chance but it's been a total disappointment, again, and we won't return. In my reservation I put comments to the restaurant and obviously it was not read. I asked for a table by the fireplace, I said that it was for my wife's birthday and I also asked that the server pour our wine when our glasses are low or emptied. On our arrival we were offered a place along the back wall. We were able to have a table by the fireplace after all. The server arrived, did not introduce himself and to my opinion was not properly dressed for serving on a Saturday night. The server was young, has been working in this restaurant for 6 months and clearly never had any kind of training and I blame the management for not caring about the service. We ordered a bottle of Sangiovese and got a bottle of Rosso. When the server brought the wine, the bottle was already open. The server poured some in my glass and I said "my wife will do the tasting" as you would expect to happen when you buy a 50$ bottle of wine, instead he pour some wine in my wife's glass and walked away and never pour any wine after. The manager came to our table to justify why we got a different wine and to me it was unnecessary as it seems to be a supplier's issue. The only positive point of our dinning experience was the food and the atmosphere. Our meals was delicious, tasty, perfectly cooked and seasoned. After my wife took her last bite, her plate was taken away and as I finished mine and it was gone as quickly. The server asked if we wanted any dessert and we decided to wait. The very sad part of our dinner is that at this point, we looked at each other and I said to my wife: "I don't feel like I want to stay here any longer, I just want to leave the place and go somewhere else", and my wife felt the same. We asked for the bill, paid it and left totally dismayed.

Being visiting this restaurant for years with friends. Even though menu has changed and I miss the 4 cheese ravioli food is good, portions good and like not being rushed.

Monday is Pizza night at CIBO - a 12 inch pizza for $14. Pizza was very good. A Monday night is quieter than the other nights. Nice to be able to go somewhere in the neighborhood.

We normally have lunch here but wanted friends to try out this place with us for dinner. All 4 entrees were excellent...chicken parmesana, pasta with sausage, vongole with white wine and a lovely creamy carbonara. The bruschetta could have used some seasoning as the tomatoes were not very flavourful. Calamara was good. Lava cake was outstanding. Overall a place we can count on for a good meal.

Having had lunch there a month ago, we had great expectations however, our expectations were not met during our most recent visit. The service was OK to begin with however quickly went downhill as there were many side plates and dirty dishes left on our table until the very end of our evening. Normally, as plates are used a no longer required, they are taken away by the server however that was not the case with this experience. The food was passable and could be characterized as fair to good however we were not moved by the quality.

The server was very helpful with wine info and samples. She was also very patient and professional. The food was excellent and fully enjoyed by all. We had a girls night out and fully enjoyed the evening at Cibo. The dessert was tremendously good as well. We will all go back the next time we go out!

A gem! Excellent food! Highly recommended. Service isn’t as good as the food; however, given difficulties all establishments have at present with attracting and retaining capable, invested and experienced staff I’m giving it five star rating for service (I always review in context. Can’t compare pre Covid apples with emerging Covid oranges.)

The ambience was lacking for an Italian restaurant The noice level - given there were only 3 other tables when we arrived - was a little loud The service was slow. The hostess/waitress and then the waiter did not introduce themselves. I asked questions, answer took over 5 mins. The food was FANTASTIC! Best Calamari ever, my Spaghetti Ali Olio was great and my husband LOVED his Vitello w/risotto.

Great Italian food. Casual atmosphere but can also be a suitable location for a fancy-ish dinner. Took the parents here and they loved it. Quiet on a Saturday, which was actually really nice for us to have a good visit. Will come back here. Good value also.
