Cibo Centre St
This restaurant serves the Modern Italian cuisine with touch of classical zest and inspire the simple Italian flavors in best of its form.
Enjoyed the food and drink, but not the dessert - Chocolate Lava Cake, the cake was melted and laid flat when it was served.
For a Friday night, it was pretty quiet. You can tell there is some new staff in the kitchen. Pizza was good, but was better before.
Vongole pasta was a bit disappointing. Flat flavour and not much broth.
Great spot for comfort Italian food! Very nice for date night. The fruits de Mara was delicious as well as the bruschetta.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Cibo Centre St. The food was fresh and delicious. A fresh pasta and a fresh pizza crust make all the difference! Am actually going to order some pizza to the house tonight! We are officially hooked :-)
Service was extraordinarily slow. Food was bland. Very disappointing.
Always consistent! Food is great and the servers are wonderful!
Worst service in 10 years. Young gal was more interested in chatting with her buddies that were there. Had to as someone else for cutlery and drinks. Food was just ok, overall was not a good experience.
A nice spot...The service was good, the meals were quick, hot and was excellent. Would recommend for dinner at any time.
Moms first time in a restaurant in 18 months.
Hoping they return to their pre pandemic quality & service. Disappointed to realize they are not there yet.
The food was tasty and our waitress was very good. My only comment would be that the restaurant didn’t feel homey/Italian, it was a bit sterile.
Birthday dinner. Food was good and fast
Food is amazing and the service is excellent. Extra characters here so I can submit my review
Food was good…service was good.
Food was served quickly and arrived hot. The pasta was a bit on the dry side. Overall the dining experience was not up to the usual experiences we have previously had there
Great value and get together location.
Excellent menu and food, fast and friendly service. Great patio!
Cibo is a hidden gem. This neighbourhood restaurant has great ambience, delicious food and friendly staff. We went on a Friday night with two young children and the servers made us feel welcome and the kids loved their spaghetti. We will definitely be visiting again.
I had chicken parmegiana. The pasta was undercooked (stll a little crispy) and the chicken was overcooked ( a little on the hard and dry side).
We've eaten here many times but this was a disappointment. Loud hip hop music has replaced the Italian ambience and we couldn't have a conversation. I had the pepperoni pizza which had very tasty pepperoni but no tomatoes or tomato sauce. Will wait awhile before trying again.
We were there early so there was only one other diner there. We enjoyed the time we were there.
I can say this is some of the best Italian food in Calgary. Unfortunately, our server was new or not very skilled, forgot a meal and seemed to forget drink orders until reminded.
Great food, good location excellent Mohitos. Highly recommended
cibo on centre is becoming our favourite casual dinner or lunch spot. they always have great deals on food and drink. close and central to our home. cant wait to come back.
Pear Pizza was delicious!
Great atmosphere, amazing food, good variety, clean and welcoming.
Good food and attentive to my request for a little extra pasta - a definite plus!
Will done there again
We went on a Friday around 2:00 PM, it was not too busy. Our server messed up my order, appetizers came late, that did not affect us, as we understand restaurants are working hard to get back to normal. What did matter was the food, the pizza was ok, the arancinis were awful, soggy french fries, and the beer on tap was not cold. I hope they can improve, Cibo in 17th was way better
The server was professional and pleasant. We reserved seats and requested a table on the patio which we got. The lunch menu was very small so we ended up ordering two of the same menu item- chicken parmesan with fries. The chicken was very bland. A disappointing first meal out in over a year.
Overall the food was good but the service was longer than usual. Maybe because it was Fathers Day weekend but we waited a while for three dishes and no apps
It was so nice to be able to get out and be served again at a restaurant. food was as great as I remember prior to all the shutdowns. I was surprised that it wasn't busier in light of restrictions being lifted. Italian is my favorite cuisine and this didn't disappoint.
Great service and best pizza! Gluten Free tastes amazing!
Superb meal! We split an arugula salad as an appetizer, and our pasta entrees were flavourful, unique and delicious.
The staff were beyond amazing and professional. I was impressed by my waitress running the whole restaurant by herself.
Enjoyed the meal very much, the food was excellent. Have only been twice, and both times they seemed understaffed and a bit disorganized. Centre St N location. The wait staff both times didn't seem to understand the value of clearing plates and used glasses, etc., we had to shift the empties to the side of the table as a hint to clear. In a restaurant you should never have to ask for a glass for your bottle of beer either. Small things, but the food more than made up for the quality of the service. A few tweaks with the staff would bring be back more often. (Our waitress walked about 3 times as far as she needed to as multiple empty handed trips, etc).
This is one of my favorite places to go to have a quick and easy meal. I travel from the deep south to treat my fiancé and myself.
Fantastic...as usual!! The waitress was excellent and very gracious. My dad paid the bill and accidentally hit the $ instead of the % button for the tip and left her a $0.20 tip rather than a 20% tip. She handled it very professionally and we straightened it out!! Food and atmosphere were amazing...highly recommend this restaurant!
We actually left before getting our main course because the server was so rude to us. We'd only had a drink or two each and a few appetizers and our bill somehow came up to over $200.
I will go back to the other locations but not the centre street location.
Quality of food seems to have gone a bit downhill and the value of the happy house menu wasn't that great.
The margherita pizza was basically a plain cheese pizza with tomato sauce and shards of basil. Not good.
