Circa 27 Lounge at Hotel Saskatchewan
The food was excellent. Service was a bit slow but that’s understandable given how busy the place was. Waitress was very nice. Ambience is great and the whole vibe is cool and unique. Highly recommend going for the burgers as they are amazing. Definitely try the Kennebec frites as they were a great dish.
I'm not familiar with and had not been in Regina for more than 10 years. I made a reservation online for inviting friends for dinner. It was very embarrassing thinking we could have a quiet place to chat and catch-up. The picture for the dining area online shows dining in a restaurant and not in an open bar concept; very confusing. If I had know in an open bar area, I would have made my reservation in a different restaurant. Upon check in to the hotel, when asking where the dining would be for the dinner, the front desk did not know either. I had read the reviews and they were not true. The Circa was under staff and not much service at all.
I would not go out of my way to eat here food was good but not memorable. Atmosphere is very nice.
Brought my staff here for our Christmas Party. The food was INCREDIBLE. The service was fantastic. We had such a great time. Pretty sure we will be back next year! The staff was also great to put up with our loud and rowdy crew:-)
We were very disappointed. I tried to phone to make a reservation at least 3 times because I had a few questions and did not receive a call back. Finally, I booked on-line and they called the next day for prepayment. After I asked for an explanation about the prepayment requirement, the manager did not call me back and they 'lost' our reservation . They did find a table for us when we arrived. The food was ok but not extraordinary, I could and should have made better at home. The ambiance was lovely although there was a strong wood fire smell at one point and one woman had to leave due to an asthma attack. Our waiter addressed herself to me and completely disregarded my guest. In the end, I had to ask for a glass of wine for my guest . It was our first visit to the Hotel Sask for Christmas dinner and we were very excited to try it out. I am afraid it will probably be our last visit as we'll try another spot next year.
We have been going to the Hotel Saskatchewan at for Christmas for more years than I care to admit. The Circa 27 Lounge is a very relaxing place for a traditional lunch. Staff is very welcoming and fun to be around.
Great food, great ambiance. Only thing is, it was a bit cold, especially if you sit by the window. But everything else was awesome. The service was excellent. Would highly recommend for a date night!
Would’ve been nice if someone on the staff had read that our table for eight was for 5pm. Luckily there was space at cocktails tables for dinner though not at the only “dining” table. Hummus was meh. Should be called a dip. Not appetizing.
My expectations were not met. We were not greeted upon arrival and waited over 20 minutes until a waitress came to our table. It was not busy either. The food was of good quality. Unfortunately one out of four of us received the wrong entree and it took another 30 minutes to receive her food. When the bill came I had to suggest my friend receive compensation for her wrong entree.
We absolutely loved our dining experience! The food was wonderful and we appreciated the uniquely Saskatchewan influence on the menu options.
Our server was very helpful and knowledgeable in regards to the wine and menu options. Loved it!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. The service, food, atmosphere was outstanding . I would definitely return and recommend to others .
The Hotel Saskatchewan is an amazing place to go and have a meal, the staff are very friendly and look after you very well
It is a very elegant place. We always enjoy having our special occasion meals there
Thought we were booking a high end restaurant at the Hotel Saskatchewan. Very disappointed to see that it was a bar lounge open to the lobby. Food was overpriced and simply not great. Not as advertised on website. Doesn't the Hotel Saskatchewan have a decent restaurant for a sit down dinner on a Friday night to celebrate a special occasion?
Would recommend with a disclaimer. It is not fine dining with a cozy quiet intimate atmosphere anymore. It’s. Bar. And that made me sad. BUT the staff did put my group in the tea lounge, we were the ONLY people in there and that was the only way it was possible to enjoy our supper celebrating a special occasion - wouldn't have heard each other otherwise. Hotel Sask used to be THE place for classy, elegant sofisticated dining. Good thing my meal was outstanding. Although the pastry chef is trying too hard with the desserts. Too much focus on being plated in a fancy way - not enough actual dessert on the plate for the price. And I finished it before I realized it wasn’t a palate cleanser and was actually my food.
