Great first time experience at CIRCA at Navy Yard. I had previously visited other locations (Foggy Bottom, Clarendon, and DuPont (RIP)) and this location is consistent with the brand. Food was good and this location is larger and really beautifully done. Service was great and I was able to sit and catch up with a friend over lunch without much interaction. The only negative from this experience was the temperature of my food. I ordered the short ribs, which are always tasty), but unfortunately on this visit my whole plate was lukewarm which was disappointing but I didn’t send back to kitchen. Since it was during the lunch rush, it may have been just sitting around before it was finally sent to my table. Overall, good experience. If I’m in that part of town in the future, I would return.

Had to wait 11 mins at the hostess counter to even be greeted upon arrival. Waiters standing around talking and not addressing guests. Waiters uniforms were disgusting with drained stains and crusty material all over. This used to be a great lunch spot. What happened to this place?

I visited Circa Navy Yard for the 2nd time yesterday. I told my sister that the restaurant serves good food and she wasn’t disappointed. We were both visiting from out of town. Our server was nice and responded amicably to our requests.

We were there for Mother's Day Brunch. The Fried Southern Benedict was delicious, as were the Avocado toast and Huevos Rancheros. Our server Brian was attentive and polite. All the staff were friendly and looked like they liked working at CIRCA. Great experience for brunch and I will be trying it for dinner in the future.

I chose Circa because the menu worked for the varying palettes of my family that was coming together to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday. Not only did everyone find something they liked, everyone's meal was far better than they expected. On top of that, when they brought the celebratory cheesecake (my mom's favorite!), they presented her with a birthday card that was signed by the entire staff. Far more than we expected!!! We truly loved our experience and look forward to going back soon.

CIRCA was amazing!! The food was SO good. We had the wings, the shrimp, and the pretzel appetizer. All three were great choices. My kids had the steak and frites, my mom had the salmon salad, and I had the salmon entree. I’m not even a big salad fan but I wanted to steal my mom’s salad - it was so good!! For dessert we had the raspberry cheesecake with the oreo crust and the chocolate lava cake. My only complaint is the lava cake was overdone…no chocolate poured out….but it was tasty nonetheless. When we made reservations we didn’t know that the Nats had a game that night so parking was a bear!!..so make sure you plan accordingly.

My go to place for lunch with friends or clients. Awesome Turkey Burger with real ground meat. Not a patty.

Everything about Circa was great. The food and drinks were amazing. I had reservations and was seated right away. We sat outside and enjoyed the scenery. Definitely would recommend.

The service was not great. We had to ask multiple times for our drinks and food and plates. Thankfully we weren't on a time crunch, but the waiter seemed distracted and rushed and would barely let us finish placing our order when he would just walk away. The restaurant wasn't busy which is why it was surprising that he was rushing constantly. The food was on par, but the service could have been better.

The food and service were excellent. The pretzel loaf is a must; we wish the service size was a bit bigger. That said, we ordered the steak frites, seared ahi, parmesan kale salad and blackened mango chicken salad between 4 people. All the meals were excellent and portions were big. We would definitely come back.

We made reservations for 10:15pm. I did arrive at 10:18, and was told that last call would be in 20 minutes. When the server came, she told us that the restaurant was closing early and that the kitchen would be closing soon. We quickly put in our drinks, appetizers, and entrees. The server placed orders correctly and everyone received the correct items ordered. The food was good overall. The wings were very good and the short rib was decent.
