   We stayed at the hotel and hadn't made plans for a Mother's Day brunch. Despite the full restaurant, the very kind hostess reassured us we would have a table. The cinnamon rolls that came with brunch were scrumptious. We all enjoyed our food and were grateful for a sweet celebration. A couple of confusions about our order were remedied quickly.

   We had never been here before and made a reservation for Mother’s Day. The 3 course brunch was delicious as was the coffee. We had the absolute pleasure of having Kris as our server and let me tell you, she made the dining experience a 10/10. Her aura and energy were so uplifting it was a joy to interact with her. I wish all servers could give their patrons this experience. She’s a wonderful soul and made our special day even better. Sincerely, 3 generations Grandma, Mom, daughter.

   The restaurant was very busy but didn’t seem to be staffed for a Saturday night. The sound has no were to got so very noisy. Our table was not clean when we were seated. It took a while to get our drink also. Food arrived quickly. Bill placed in the middle of the meal just to make sure it could get closed out making the meal seem rushed.

    I had a lunch reservation for 2 people at noon & we were seated right away. We ordered 2 chicken sandwiches (pretty simple!) and waited a full hour for the food. According to staff the restaurant was "slammed", but the seating only looked half-full. The chicken was way overcooked and tough to chew. The bun was very dry. Because of the long wait, we were late to our next event at the workshop. I live in a small, rural community and my experience at what I consider "an upscale restaurant in downtown St Paul" was not even close to expectations.

    The service and wait staff were great. The food was way below average and expectations. The tables looked old and the glassware was cloudy and unappealing. Not a warm and inviting place. Sorry to write this but we knew right away this was not worth the $80+ dollar meal. Not impressed.

    We celebrated Valentine's Day here... We had the cheese plate appetizer and it was so substantial! Excellent salmon. Highly recommend.

    Staff seemed overwhelmed on game night (wild game). Took forever to get drinks at bar and once seated. Food was hit or miss (salmon good) steak frites not so much. Table was right next to an automatic door which kept opening bringing in cold air, smoke and whatever smells the alley had. Probably a better spot on a low key evening but pre-wild game it left a lot to be desired. Staff was friendly however and apologetic.

    Food was ok. All of our protein was a little over cooked. Sevice was good. Stick to wine and beer and the cocktails were below average. Liked the ambience and lighting.

    Food was very good and good value for the price. The decor was innovative yet calming. Our only complaint was that we ended up near two large tables, each with several young children, who were rather noisy, as children are wont to be. Service was personable and courteous

    Christmas Eve reservations made. The restaurant wasn’t busy so the noise level was perfect. The best thing we had was the roasted brussel sprouts. Very yummy. Our meals were average. The service was very slow. I couldn’t quite figure out why because it seemed like there were plenty of staff for the 5-6 tables of people in the restaurant

    First time. Very quiet, very few tables on a Sunday evening. Food was very good. Enjoyed the Crispy Salmon and the Lobster roll. Service was slow however, especially given how few tables had people. Very convenient location to Ordway and theatres.

    The menu online is out of date. Ordered the aged meat plate and cheese plate appetizers. It was like ordering a Lunchable: cubed deli cheese (Colby, Pepperjack, etc), reconstituted ham slice. There was some decent prosciutto and salami, but overall pretty disappointing. If you're looking for a pre-show cocktail and appetizer, this is not the place.

    One of the few restaurants downtown open on Thanksgiving, you’d think they’d have something for the Holiday on the menu. I get the impression they can’t get help and don’t really have an idea how to get customers. Fine if you want quiet and low-key, with uninspired hotel food at high prices. You’ll be able to pick your table and our server was friendly and efficient.

    Our host was not ready to give us a table in the dinning room, and he was upset because we did not like our seats. We were seated at some additional space outside the main restaurant area, where the ambience was not the same, and we were disappointed. The only thing that made the experience bearable was the service from the waitresses. They are the best, and we are very grateful to them.

    It took us 50 minutes to get a cheese plate! The server did not know basic answers to food questions, and basically tossed the food on our table. Clearly understaffed. Not planning to return.

    We used to visit Citizen pre-Covid. We were excited to try it again. Unfortunately we picked a night with a downtown concert. The restaurant was packed with concert goers. The restaurant didn't seem prepared for that many diners. Service was slow and we were never offered second cocktails. The food was not as good as we remembered. The filet of beef was tough. The salmon was overcooked and the wild rice was salty. We'll give it another try but avoid a weekend night. We also felt the $20 valet parking was steep.

    The hotel is going downhill. Its getting dated and worn. Food was decent, but not setup for fune duning. Seat upholstry was ripped. Wait staff was understaffed, by she did her best.

    We arrived after the Wild game and it was moderately busy, and we were greeted promptly and our waitress took our drink order and then our app order, then our dinner order. It was all spaced out nicely for us. It was a nice place and great food. It is attached to the hotel Intercontinental but that doesn’t matter to us, but thought I would mention it as far as location as we weren’t expecting it was in a hotel.

    Just okay. Servers were pleasant. Food was acceptable. Filet was a bit overdone and chewy. Wine was a good pairing. Not up to par with independent restaurants, but pretty typical hotel fare.

    Went for Valentines 3-course. Very affordable for the quality of food. Steak and lobster tail was great! Service was timely, but lacked any description of food, which is always nice with a tasting menu. Nice place - loved the iPad menus where you could click on any menu item for a photo and more explanation.

    Totally foodie experience. There is nothing boring on this menu, which btw is a digital menu! Ask for Laura, she is the most friendly and efficient server ever.
