Excellent staff made us feel very special and welcome. Great food (chopped salad and Niçoise salad). Very accommodating for my hearing disability and moved us to a quieter area on request. Great service.

It seems to me, as a long time customer of Clay, that the portions are getting smaller and smaller as the prices rise! The food was very tasty, but not enough of it. I had the Vietnamese dish which I very much liked, however, for $22, I would have expected a much larger portion. The was equivalent to a small bowl of soup. I was still hungry and not prepared to order a dessert (which I rarely ever do anyway). The spring roll was not your usual type, filled with something that tasted like meat, when the dish was clearly marked as vegan. Still not sure what it was. The server was a lovely young woman, however the service was slow considering it was a cold dish. I did not feel I got value for the my money.

Innovative, delicious and approachable; globally inspired and locally produced. Roasted brussel sprouts with tom yum and peanuts, corn agnolotti with roasted corn and cotija cheese, mango panna cotta paired with Sancerre and chai latte were just wonderful. Looking forward to the next season's menu.

The choppped salad is consistently delicious (as is everything else according to the guests I’ve taken there: I have heard the huevos rancheros, fish and chips, and pancakes highly praised). The coffee is the best in Toronto, the staff are professional and congenial.

We had to remind our server several times, of items we had ordered and/or wanted. We also had trouble identifying who our server was! The maitre d' did a good job of stepping in but he shouldn't have had to. There seemed to be enough servers for the amount of people at the restaurant.

Daniel, our server was welcoming, informative, professional despite the fact that they were very busy. He always took the time to explain and answer our questions. We enjoyed our meal - such a talented and gifted chef with amazing creativity. Chris, the gentleman who seated us was also very professional with a wonderful sense of humour which we appreciated. We enjoyed the experience completely.

A favourite place for lunch. Tables are well spaced, noise level is good, service is friendly and efficient, food is good with a few daily specials. Both inside and outdoor service. It is our go to place.

We celebrated our 63 Anniversary. Our first time at Clay but have visited the museum many times in the past. We love the setting and great views. The presentation of our meal was beautiful! We will return as the gift shop was also a must to see on our way in. Don and Merle

This is a fabulous lunch spot. The mood is set by walking through through Gardiner and then accentuated by the view of the ROM. The food is simple and well done. Our server DANIEL was outstanding. He was noted an error in our bill that I didn’t notice and immediately brought it to our attention.

We have been coming for years for birthday celebrations. However one of the additions was an interesting combination that tasted more like sour cream sauced corn tasting pasta. Not really the taste we thought it would be. As for my burger, the meat was excellent but for some reason it was not as flavorful as hope. That said, this maybe a one off day as we have never been disappointed at Clay. The service is impeccable and the ambiance to die for.

This is not my first time dining at Clay; it has been consistently outstanding. Servers are knowledgeable and take food allergies seriously. Service is well-timed and the food arrives at the correct temperature and beautifully plated. The omelette was delightful -- a lovely blend gruyere, green bell pepper and fresh corn. My friend had "the best fish and chips"! Dessert, tiramisu, was a divine finish to a perfect lunch. Coffee -- decaf or regular -- is offered with a refill. The atmosphere is bright, relaxed, and tables have enough space between so that people are not crowded -- the high ceilings are completely wonderful. Great spot for a special lunch.

I had a very positive experience that Clay. Service was exceptional and the food was nicely plated and presented. The ambiance was lovely. While a wee bit pricey, it was worth it. I would highly recommend.
